I got this recommended to me as I had enjoyed other Works from shaft. And desided to watch it some time ago.
Story
The best thing about this anime was the story. It was a heartwarming and heartbreaking story with a lot of great points. The story isn’t really that original when you think about it, but it did the job with pulling me in. It gave us two different stories, that didn’t resemble each other as much as I thought it would. slightly over dramatic. Both stories had their over dramatic points, but one of the stories especially annoyed me, as things could get a little over the top. As much as the story annoyed me at times, it was still worth everything.
Characters
This was, in my opinion, the worst thing about it all. We get five MC’s, but out of these I only grew to like two of them. Both from the same story. The three characters from the other story just annoyed me up until the very last episodes. I ended up getting what I wanted from both stories in the very end, but those three characters just annoyed me to no end during it all. With that said, it wasn’t all bad. Even with the slightly over dramatic scenes and events, all characters had at least one thing to them that I could relate to.
Art/Animation
I can’t complain about the art. It’s bright and very detailed. Even if the art style didn’t appeal to me all that much, it is still good and quite unique. With colors that follows the characters moods and art that was able to capture the characters emotions.
Music/sound
The sound for this anime was good. With good background music, befitting the mood of the anime, and the overall happenings. The background music is touching and brings a lift to every scene. I will recognize that the theme, Euphoric Field, is good in it’s own way, and very befitting the anime, even if it didn’t appeal to me as much as many other songs.
