TLDR: Devils line is a messy and poorly thought out series that makes no serious attempt at a high quality work. It's both confusing and flat out disappointing as you traverse through randomly put together fight scenes and the sad excuse for a plot direction. Avoid this watch, unless you're looking for a series that makes vampires fight and do vampire-ing stuff (or you want another drop on your list).
Scores~ Story [2] Art [5] Sound [4] Character [2] Enjoyment [1] Overall [2.8]
Story [2]
The best way to describe the story in devil's line is a confusion. The studio makes no attempt to explain the reasoning behind
...
everything and chucks random characters together, with some context, and makes them do things. The overall plot itself, it's pointless and has no meaningful direction to follow or to look forward to. It does make a semi-serious attempt to develop a somewhat interesting romance, but any curiosity of this is whipped away as you're confused by what the heck is happening in the series.
A sad excuse for a plot.
Art [5]
The only "strength" of this series. The studio has made a genuine attempt to Instill some identity into their characters and makes it bearable on the eyes (and soul). Nothing of great note can be said here. It's mediocre and won't knock your socks off anytime soon. Art in which its sole purpose is to do its job and adapt.
Sound [4]
Simply O.K
The sound is fine, it doesn't hitch in any major way. However, the voice acting does tend to get boring and doesn't scream "I have character" in any major way. Apart from it's under average OP and ending songs, the sound is slightly disappointing in Devil's line.
Character [2]
Devil's line's characters are bland, generic and sad to say the least. The studio makes no attempt to make the characters amount to anything other than hollow. The generic vampires. The generic MC woman. Everything just feels the same and/or predictable as random events move by. The studio makes no attempt at making Devil's line's characters amount to anything but a chore to bear your eyes into. While they're not horrible, they certainly are dreadful to every letter.
Enjoyment [1]
I am not enjoying this series whatsoever. This anime ruins any prospect of attempting a fun vampire series and replaces it with a collection and hollow characters doing randomly generated stuff together. While it keeps it somewhat entertaining through its overly sexual(ish) fight scenes, the sheer amount of trash you have to avoid to get to it is simply discouraging and becomes a massive chore to go through.
Overall [2.8]
Although it is a somewhat mediocre production, Devil's line squanders any prospect of a mediocre concept. It's generic characters and confusing plot leave it as a massive disappointment of a series in which the studio has made nonchalant attempt to make things interesting or watchable.
Simply a poor quality watch and should be another anime on your drop list, should you take up this poor series. *sigh*

TLDR: Hina is a fun and bubbly anime which focuses on unique experiences in unique circumstances. It's a funny side watch that doesn't focus on the sci-fi tag, but centralises on the interactions of random individuals. You're at the right place if you want a nice watch that will brighten your day, even if it's by a little.
Scores~ Story [7] Art [6] Sound [6] Character [8] Enjoyment [8] Overall [7]
Story [7]
Hinamatsuri's story isn't spectacular, but something that develops at a nice pace and is enjoyable. While the anime doesn't particularly explain the context of the story (pre-Hina appearance), any need for this closure is
...
washed away as you are immersed in the interactions within the series.
You want to see how the blank Hina (character) acts and grows, how Anzu works her way through life and how the characters interact, develop and react to each other. It's not a large metaphoric story, but a collection of stories; a good slice of life story.
As a result, the interesting and everchanging development, combined with its comedic tone, make Hinamatsuri's story enjoyable.
*And to those expecting the explosions of sci-fi/magic, be prepared to be disappointed as this anime doesn't particularly focus on this aspect and is more of just a drive for the plot.
Art [6]
Nothing much of note here. While the drawings are quite consistent throughout the series so far, the art doesn't particularly stand out at in any major way and can feel a bit dated for 2018. It does a good job characterising the temperaments of the characters and that's all that is needed of an adaption. Not yet mediocre but not quite great either.
Sound [6]
Similar things can be said here, as with art. The OP and ending tracks are good, but it isn't much of a step over fair. The voice acting is consistent, solid and set the tone for every character making them fun to follow. Again, the sound is not great, but not mediocre either, making it a fair attempt.
Character [8]
Perhaps The series' strength, it really makes it up here by introducing a variety of unforeseen characters into the mix. The interesting attitudes of various characters make us curious to see the how the characters interact and develop. We want them to be together, to talk and to wander aimlessly into conversations.
It keeps it fresh and entertaining as we move through the episodes.
Enjoyment [8]
I can't help but be fixated on the interactions of Hina (character), and perhaps that is my fault (I'm a sucker for the clueless). As such as a shot from the blue, Hinamatsuri takes "not belonging" to a unique level as it shoots various situations into the mix, making it really enjoyable. I want to see what happens next, what happened after that and after that.
Hinamatsuri keeps it fresh and the unknowing chemistry is keeping me pinned to this show.
Overall [7]
Even though this isn't a top quality production digitally (art and sound), the characters and story within the show drag the quality back up and make this a very worthwhile watch. Through its left-field characters and the chemistry they develop off of one another, Hinamatsuri leaves you wanting for more as it keeps it fresh and interesting within it's cute, yet mature, world.
P.S
"Don't you dare break that vase" they said...
"I'll disown you" they said
And disown you they did...

TLDR:
Honestly, avoid Dances with the Dragons. There is simply is no serious direction and use of such a series and is just a clutter of random fights and events which clamp together to make an ugly and poorly thought out series. Unless you're sadistic and want to watch a confusing, action-oriented, thoughtless and plotless anime, or want another drop to your list, then go for it. Other than that avoid watching this.
Scores~ Story [1] Art [4] Sound [4] Character [1] Enjoyment [1] Overall [2.2]
Story [1]
This anime makes a clearly unsophisticated and pathetic attempt at an action sci-fi anime. It chucks random individuals with no backstory,
...
explanation or reason and makes them do things. You simply cannot find any place where this series has made a serious attempt to make things even slightly interesting apart from making things fight other things.
Art [4]
The art is fine. Nothing too exciting or horrible either. It is averagely drawn but doesn't really give the characters a hint of identity. The art is honestly, just there to adapt the manga to anime form. It's decent.
Sound [4]
Again, the sound is fine. The studio has made no real attempt to put forth any high-quality sound and clearly has made no real effort to make this a lasting impression. Again, its here just to adapt something to anime form. it's decent.
Character [1]
I could go on and on about how horrible the characters are, but ill keep it brief-ish.
They are hollow, dumb and daft, almost like placeholders for boxes. They don't really develop, have any real meaning, background, drive or reason. It's almost like we are placed in a world with some dragons and flashy explosions and are following their every move, including the chores. It's honestly sad. If you don't want to see an anime character pay the bills, then you don't want to see this.
Enjoyment [1]
Argh. Such a cool flashy name ruined by a studio's inability to make this series at least decent. Sure they're some cool dragon fight scenes but even those will get boring. The studio has made no effort to make this series decent and it's honestly sad and a BIG chore to watch. At least be bearable.
Overall [2.2]
This is an anime made with no real effort or conviction, like a series that exists just to exist. It's honestly pathetic to see the studio disappointing me in every aspect, except with the mediocre art and sound. It's sad, depressing and hurtful.
Also, the name "Dances with the Dragons" for this series is honestly a waste and should be used for an at least respectable PG-13 show. *sigh* *sighs harder*

TLDR:
Megalo Box is an incredible watch which sets the stage for you to want to kill for the next episode. It is the epitome of an original action-packed thriller boxing anime and will not disappoint in any major way. If you have the time of your life to lose, Megalo box should be the thief that takes your damned free time.
Scores~ Story [8] Art [7] Sound [9] Character [9] Enjoyment [10] Overall [8.6]
Story [8]:
Megalo introduces a new approach to the boxing genre as it incorporates an entirely new mechanic into the physical sport. This mechanic allows the series to pan out quite interestingly as
...
they find means to overcome entirely different obstacles to win.
Although the story doesn't typically allow a typical "introduction" to the landscape, we are able to imply various situations with relative ease. This combined with its immersive "junk rat" feel Megalo culminates as a completely different and refreshing take on the boxing environment as it drags you into its violent and volatile world.
Art [7]
As this is a remake, it can be understood that the art will look rather dated and this is true here. The art style itself is of a lower resolution than the typical 2018 animes we've seen, but it works out completely in its favour here as it presents an entirely new concept. Due to the setting of the anime, the use of the older art only adds to the scrapyard feel and compliments the plot and setting produced by the studio. Combine with its consistency throughout fight scenes and solid application to characters, we are left with art as its weakest point but in no way, a hindrance.
Sound [9]
The sound is incredible.
It's perfect timing in the fight scenes. The immersive tracks throughout the series. The appropriately themed OP and ending tracks. It brings the whole work together as a high-quality body of work. Even though the MC can sound like a bore, the studio approaches to every line with proper intentions in mind and add on top of the already immersive tone on the series. TMS Entertainment has done an incredibly good job here making the whole thing work.
Character [9]
Megalo Box's characters are enticing and interesting. The studio has allowed each character to carve out their own role within the series, no matter how minor it might be. Served with their own interesting and deep personalities, Megalo Box is a prime example of character and character development done right, as it proceeds to allow the characters free reign upon the world.
Enjoyment [10]
Oh my.
An action-packed, thrilling fighting anime that includes an incredibly interesting MC that strays from the "I'm weak help me" archetype basically describes what I'm seeing. I love it, to every part. The immersion that the studio has allowed Megalo to project. The consideration of every single character displayed within the series. The studio has respected this remake, reimagined it and added a little extra. This is one of the most enjoyable and memorable watches I have ever lied my eyes on.
Overall [8.6]
Megalo Box is the prime example of a boxing anime done right and doesn't seem to falter in any major aspect. The studio has respected the identity and world within the series and amplified its effect as they noticeably put every ounce of their being into this anime.
If you haven't touched this anime, I recommend you do so and come with rather high expectations because after its all said and done,
It has and will deliver.
So go to where you watch anime and watch it now. It has and will be an experience to remember.

TLDR:
Tada is a nice and enjoyable watch that keeps you interested in what to come. If you want a solid, bubbly and romantic anime that isn't a repetitive washing of a romance, look no further.
Ratings~ Story [7] Art [7] Sound [6] Character [6] Enjoyment [8] Overall [7]
Story [7]
Perhaps a strength of the anime thus far. Tada progresses well and adds to the overall appeal of the bubbly anime. The reoccurring use of photography as the main theme holds it all together and in the end, we are left with an interesting anime in which, our attention is kept focused on the relationships within the
...
series.
Art [7]
It presents a unique, yet quality approach to their intended romantic appeal. Soft and nice on the eyes and is consistent in its application. Considering that the series is set on photography, it's to be expected that the art is up to par and so far, it has delivered.
Sound [6]
Op and ending tracks are fine. The voice acting is a lacklustre here and there but gets the job done. Nothing great of note here, especially as the plot doesn't really put an emphasis on sound.
Character [6]
Tada is a mix of extremely different yet familiar characters. They work well together and the series allows them to interact with each other and develop their relationships. However, I can't help but notice hollowness of some characters. It seems to me that Tada presents a character, says "ok this is your background" and then chucks them into the group to make them do things (*cough* Gentarō *cough* -_-). As a result, we are left with some noticeably uninteresting and forgetful characters early on into the series
Enjoyment [8]
It's really interesting to see how the characters pan out, early on in this series and its all due to the plots situation. The meshing of drastically different characters and how they interact with each other is enjoyable to watch and I can't help but wonder "whats going to happen to x and y next". The combination of seemingly night and day characters is what really has pushed this anime past "just another good watch".
Overall [7]
Tada presents us with an interesting plot and drives us to watch. Through its interestingly stereotypical characters, and the unpredictability of their interactions, we are left with a great bubbly watch that you will look forward to and will lighten your day by even just a little.

I really want to like this anime, I really do, and I feel like I am, but there are a few flaws that I notice very early on in the series that I have to skim over to enjoy it.
[Take with a grain of salt. This is early on in the series. Will edit as my opinions change and will notify]
Scores~ Story [6] Art [7] Sound [6] Character [7] Enjoyment [7] Overall [6.6]
Story [6]
This anime breathes life into an already dense genre; Romance. It gives watchers incentives to watch the anime, to follow the development of the character and to cede their emotions
...
into the relationships within the series. By no means is it a complete rejuvenation of the genre, as it rather rushes this new breath. but it instead dictates its own identity against the stereotypes of Anime romance. It's not an "ugh not again" but breathes enough life for the story to be over average in its department.
Art [7]
Perhaps its strength but is not for everybody. 3D utilises a brighter and vibrant style which suits the tone of the anime; bubbly and romantic. Sure, it doesn't appeal to everyone's eyes, and it rather looks plain and oversaturated at times, but its quality is good and nothing else.
Sound [6]
Op and ending songs are solid, to say the least. However, the major strife I currently have is the sometimes poor connection with the voice and the character. There are times which the voice is intriguing and pushes me into interest towards a character but there are times where I am left bored as voices get bland periodically. Not a complete strength of the anime but it holds up its role.
Character [7]
3D messes with the usual roles within an "anime romance" and provides us with refreshing perspectives for us to enjoy. 2 completely new people coming together to make things happen, and I enjoy it. The character themselves have some identifiable depth in the beginning and progress a bit rapidly due to the plot but all in all, the individuals are interesting to follow and hold up to their expected reactions.
Enjoyment [7]
The ability to follow 2 new identities in their pursuit of romance is [currently] enjoyable. I'm finding myself wanting to see the next episode and wondering the possibilities that may happen in the next episode. The series is keeping my attention early on but doesn't do anything past that.
Overall [6.6]
3D Kanojo breathes a fresh breath into the dense genre of romance which is both enjoyable as a side series and is able to keep your interest (early on anyway) as the story proceeds in its development.

Darling in the FranXX, the anime that drove me to get on here and write a review. After watching a large chunk of the series, I finally feel that I can write a decent analysis on it as a body of work.
Scores~ Story [7] Art [8] Sound [8] Character [5] Enjoyment [8] Overall [7.2]
Story [7]:
Although Darling presents its plot through an already exhausted medium of "x meets y and destroys everything", it seamlessly finds ways to make the story and progression worth watching. Its focus on the human behaviour allows it to mould meaningful perspectives upon which the "outsider" may have towards this behaviour.
...
As a result, it blows a breath of bland air within a very predictable genre and allows it to be enjoyable as you traverse through the struggles of an original outcast.
However, the main issue with this story is its pacing and speed of development. You can tell as you watch episode by episode, that the studio is intentionally dragging the series through its planned 24 episodes. It leaves hints and scents upon the plot development here and there, but ultimately leaves you rather lacking. However, the pace of development has picked up ever so slightly in the episodes 13-15 episodes so ill update if something drastic changes in my opinion.
Art [8]
You can't really fault this aspect of Darling. It consistently provides us with meaningful eye candy through its complex fight scenes, routine conversations and the like, not faltering in its seamlessness. Sure, it's not groundbreaking or revolutionary, but It has its own identity and can be certainly considered as very good A-1 quality (see what I did there)
Sound [8]
As for sound, quality is very high but inconsistent with the anime. The op and ending sequences are very well on the ears. The voice acting is consistent but can get bland and boring in certain phases (I'm looking at you especially HIRO). The fight scenes are extremely well sequenced and thought out in its effect but sometimes can drag on and/or get repetitive.
The sound has its lacklustre phases but achieves a very good standard.
Character [6]
This is an aspect of the anime that probably hinders it the most and is notably poor with the shallow development of minor characters.
The main characters "group" (Hiro, 02, Ichigo, Garo) develop ok. As they are the main focus of the plot, its only natural that they get the most development but it only left feeling a bit empty as they've only developed as much as they have. This leads me to the supporting cast.
Since the series develops so slowly, the supporting characters are unable to project their own identities and it ends up with action-packed metal boxes fighting a big, beautifully drawn dragon. The series simply didn't allow for proper roles to be defined and this leads to the disparity between them and the main characters.
It's not that the characters themselves were bad, but the pacing of the anime has left the majority of the characters on the "who's that again?" list.
Enjoyment [8] (closer to 7.5)
Now there's nothing like a series which fleshes out a complete idea/metaphor as its focus and hones in on every aspect. It's always enjoyable to see an anime try so hard whilst dictating their opinions and views on a particular futuristic outcome. Combine this with the flashy fight scenes and budding romance and you got yourself a quite enjoyable anime. Just please, speed it up a bit so I can enjoy it a bit more D:
Overall [7.2]
Darling in its entirety is a good watch, not a masterpiece by any means, but a series that you will enjoy and look forward to spending 20 min of your day watching. It's only disappointing that such an interesting concept is hindered by poorly managed pacing. It certainly doesn't deserve the abysmal ratings some have given and you should be considering watching it if you haven't (if you're into dystopian sci-fi series).
I hope this was alright for my first ever review and that you enjoyed the lengthy read.
