Honestly, I enjoyed this anime more than I expected to. It's just a nice relaxing anime to casually watch, each conflict is episodic and usually gets revolved within an episode or 2, charming characters, and visually looks lovely. Reminds me of a simpler time in life where my problems weren't that big and life was a lot more peaceful. There's something fluid about the way they animated shows in the late 90s and early 2000s, makes the characters feel more real. If you're looking for something a little more plot heavy, then I don't think you would like this anime, however if you're looking for

something easy going to watch, then you will like To Heart.

Now this is a classic, this was one of the first harem anime to come out during the mid 2000s, back when the anime industry was beginning their journey to the west. This was a good anime, a big reason why many of us remember it so fondly is because it came out during an era where the first generation of anime fans were starting to get interested in anime. I know I'm not the only one who remembers this anime fondly, chances are it was one of the first 10 or 20 anime you guys watched, same for me. Shuffle was unique, aside from
...
its art style, which is representative of the era, the story was unique. It developed each and every girl involved in the harem, and by the end of it, you cared about all of them. The main character's decision represented how unique this anime was, it came out before the cliches in harem were established, it was allowed to be unique before harem became more mainstream. The writing, the foreshadowing, the themes of getting over trauma. I think I speak for all of us when I say that this is a an unknown classic, only a handful of early anime fans from the mid 2000s know and love this anime. While it isn't anything groundbreaking, it was one of the first, and for that it has a special place in my heart.
Shuffle seems like a simpel Harem, however unlike modern Harem anime, this show does a great job at developing each girl, making you unsure at which one is going to win the love of the protagonist. Cute character designed, solid animation for the time it was made, great soundtrack, and several interesting plot points involving each girl, one of which surprised me. The childhood friend Kaede being as messed up as she is genuinely shocked me given how cute and sweet she was at the beginning. My only gripe with the show is the main character himself, Rin. While Rin isn't a bad character, he's too bland. Given his childhood and how pain he's been through during his life, it's a little boring that he never shows any trauma from what he's been through, losing both of his parents to a car accident and being tortured by his childhood friend because she blamed him for the death of her Mom. While I won't call him boring and say he shows no emotion, he's never truly expressed pain for what he's gone through, and it would have been nice to see a more vulnerable side of him. I wanna be clear, it's not like he has no development, however out of every major character in the show, he's the least interesting. Overall, still a very good show, a good story, good characters, and a solid protagonist.

So, this was just a recap of everything that happened in the original Shuffle, just shortened and told in a different order. Nothing is new, so I don't really recommend it. The only saving grace of Memories is the final episode, which is completely unique and is another story. Honestly, they could have just done the final episode as an OVA and just be done with it instead of teasing the viewer into believing they were getting another season of Shuffle. It's hard to judge since the content itself isn't bad, just redundant. I gave it a 6 because the final episode did actually give

A very cute anime, personally when it comes to realism, I don't think this anime is very realistic when it comes to the situation. One major thing that I realized when I watched the anime when I was a little older was that they really let this 16-17 year old highschool kid who was already struggling with school watch over this 5 year old who was just abandoned by her mother and lost her father. Legit, there are 5 other adults in the house, yet they force a 16 year old to take care of a child without any regard for the child's well being.
...
Yes, Kippei did his best and it worked out, but it was very irresponsible of the adults to allow this. Yuzuyu almost gets hit by a car during the 3rd episode cause Kippei left her alone, and she was getting harassed by a stalker because Kippei left her alone again. The relationship between Kippei and Yuzuyu is very touching and I still enjoyed the anime despite its flaws since the characters were well written and the story was very sweet. If you want something enjoyable to watch that doesn't have any vulgarness to it, then I recommend Aishiteruze Baby. If you ignore that the situation of a 16 year old taking care of a 5 year old is unrealistic, then everything else in this anime is very well done.

I have seen many basketball animes, Kuroko, Slam Dunk, Buzzer Beater, Ahiru no Sora, and this is by far the worst I've seen. The story is decent, the art and animation are low quality and the characters are simple. This anime tries so hard to be cool by including rap in the ending theme, and the opening tries to glorify basketball by sounding more extravagant. Other sports anime in the same genre are capable of being cool without even trying (Slam Dunk, KNB). This anime was aggravating to watch and very much unrealistic, knowing as much as I do about basketball I couldn't help but
...
point out the flaws with this anime in terms of the game. By the time I made it through halfway through the series, I saw the most egregious play in basketball, two missed flagrant fouls calls by the ref, and an unfounded technical towards the MC's team when it was undeserved. I was so upset, that I rage quitted an anime for the first time in my anime watching lifetime (over 10 years). If this was the first basketball anime you've ever watched, I understand why people would like this, but if you've seen other basketball anime, you'll realize how bad this anime really is. If you wanna watch a good basketball anime, watch Slam Dunk, Kuroko no Basket, Ahiru no Sora, or even Buzzer Beater, but don't watch this.

So far, The Misfit of Demon King Academy is a solid anime to watch for the Summer of 2020. It's art is gorgeous as well as the voice actor for the main character, and the opening theme song is incredible. It has a good story concept that could potentially be done well if executed properly, so far, it looks like it won't be executed well, it has a very simple plot where the main character solves all the problems with magic. The MC is absolutely overpowered, so there is no real tension in terms of whether or not he'll win, because he will, that's the
...
type of character he is. This could potentially be an issue down the line, since most other world animes are bad at creating real stakes when the main character can solve any problem or obstacle with magic. If you're looking for an anime that is essentially a video game on easy mode, but with great characters concepts and art, this is for you. Something I appreciate is that the main character isn't a pushover, and is flowing with confidence. The animes opening and ending song are top notch and the story has potential, however it is very early in the series to decide whether it will be good overall, but 4 episodes in, it is okay if you're looking for an anime that is satisfying to watch. It's not for everyone though, if you're looking for an anime with an actual story and well developed characters, this isn't for you. A more critical view of this anime is that this show attempts to replicate the success of One Punch Man (like many others have tried). It has an OP protagonist, but it has none of the charm that One Punch Man has. This is the type of anime that you will watch once and never rewatch.

I was bored, so I decided to watch this anime. This anime is actually famous for it's Cabbage Scene, the meme where the cabbage wasn't detailed enough and everyone got angry over it. So, I thought I would give this one a watch. It has a pretty solid concept, but its execution was rather poor. This is a romantic comedy that leans more towards the romance side, the first 7 episodes are basically a slice of life anime, in terms of comedy, it wasn't very funny. A lot of overreactions, especially by the female characters, an example is that there is an older brother character
...
who says insensitive things, his sister constantly beats him with a paddle and breaks things, and the brother is the one who gets the blame! His Dad constantly docks his pay, so he is essentially using child labor and should go to prison. I do not find the physical abuse to be funny, yet they use it comedically. The romance aspect is actually solid, I like the relationship between the protagonist and heroine, respect to the protagonist because he realizes his feelings sooner than your average protagonist. The characters are fairly one dimensional, no real substance behind most of them, and all obstacles are overcome with immense ease. If you are looking for an anime to watch in the background while playing video games or doing something else, this one is perfect, but I wouldn't watch this expecting a good plot with in depth characters.
