I admit I got weirded out by how random stuff is in the first chapters. But as I continue to thread through the story, I found myself laughing at its weirdness and crying because of the backstories of the characters in the story. Personally, I like stories like this because it's just amazing to think how a manga panel can touch you emotionally.

It's also nice that the author was able to incorporate Japanese folklores in an interesting and humorous way.

I think the characters and panels were drawn so well. I actually like Okarun's character design. It looks so cool.

For now, these are just the ... things that I can note. I tots urge everyone to give it a try.

I expected too much when this got released and i got extremely disappointed by the outcome. The plot is still the same as the manhwa yanno the typical isekai stuff. The reason why I liked reading it and historical manhwas in general is because of the ARTSTYLE. It is sad to say that the anime counterpart for this one didn't manage to capture the art that I liked in the manhwa which is the main reason why I have to drop it. Plus idk why but the anime ver sounded kinda off and cringe? I don't remember cringing while reading it but oop I was ... cringing real bad.

Honestly, i thing this would've been a hit if the animation is good. So sad and disappointed with it.

I have read a lot of historical Isekai manhwa and this started off the same as your average Isekai/villainess combo. What's different about this one is probably how the characters where written.

I know there are some people who despised the FL for being "weak" but I would like to debunk this. Ruby has been through a lot. Imagine getting abused by her family both in her real world and the novel that she's in right now, do you think it's easy for her to feel fine after that? I think the way she reacts to things is how a human who has been through a ... lot of trauma would react. It's not weakness, she's just human.
Idk this isn't really a review but just me defending Ruby from those comments. I was really forcing myself not to cry while reading the panels on how she was abused and how she was slowly starting to open herself up thanks to her heaven sent husband who was kinda a jerk at first but totally redeemed himself at the latest chapters.
Honestly instead of directing such comments to Ruby just curse the hell out of that fricking Caesar. Might've spelt his name wrong, but do I look like I care? Anywayssss, I thought no one could surpass my hatred with Trashta but then here come that abuser taking her throne.
I think the author is trying to tell us that "Don't let looks deceive you" because that guy is an ABSOLUTE HORRENDOUS MONSTER THAT NEEDS TO BE BANISHED FROM THIS WORLD.

Okay that's it, in summary... Artstyle is a 10. Characters is a 10. Plot is good. I recommend it. I gave it a 9 because of Caesar.

This is probably the best shounen anime I watched this season. I like the plot so far. Maybe the thing that I guess got me hooked on this was that unlike most of the stuff that I watched this one have no fan service (or less) and I was able to engross myself to just the story. I like it when shows can stand alone without having to use such thing.

But I couldn't give it a perfect rating even though I really like it because the animation was just okay. I saw parts of the manga and I was kinda disappointed on how it was ... relayed in the anime. If it were to get a good animation, this would've been a complete banger.

For the OP and ED I can't really say much. I just think they're okay. It's not annoying to listen too but it wasn't really that impactful as well.

Aside from that everything is good. Totally recommend this one.

In the first part, it is your cliché romance plot wherein there's a damsel in distress being bullied by her stepmom and sis and then a knight in shining armor will come swooping in to save her. Although on the later part, they redeemed it by having Miyo be able to find the strength to stand up for herself and and save Kudo.
There were some questionable parts that were pointed out by other people that I do feel same with like ... the part wherein the emperor became evil and also how Miyo was able to have the knowledge on how to use her powers. No further context was given on the intentions of the emperor which kinda left a hole in the plot. Maybe they will address that on the second season idk lmao
I would also like to say that I hated the guts of Miyo's Father, her stepmother and stepsister. I think their punishment is too light after what they put Miyo through. Gawd I'm seething with anger writing this. Miyo is so precious and they dared treat her like that?! A BIG F YOU TO THEM!

Anyways for the voice acting, I really liked Miyo's VA. Having read some parts of both the manga and novel, I think she was able to portray the character well. I imagined Miyo's voice to be soft and quiet (due to her traumas and stuff) which Reina Ueda was able to deliver. The other characters, I don't really have anything significant to say.

Animation was great! Everything looked polished and pretty (which is a pretty big thing for me).

Overall, the anime is pretty chill. It didn't have like the surprising factor lol I guess because most of the stuff were to be expected. There were just some plot holes that needs to be filled which I hope they'll fill in the next season.
