I've been seeing memes on my group on FB, and I decided to check the anime out for myself. I went in totally blind to what the anime was about, (yes, I started with the anime first.)
Anyway, going into the 1st episode I didn''t know what to expect, however, seeing how things played out I really didn't mind it. The first thing i noticed and actually liked was the amount of talent the animators had with thier clean, and vivid art. Amazing to say the least.
Continuing on into the story, it actually becomes wholesome asf, IMO. Meaning, at least to me, that:
...
it's very common to see people "toy" with the ones they like/love. Therefore, the "bullying" didn't phase me as much as a typical viewer, because to me, you see that all the time. To reinterate on the wholesome part, you can see the characters actually defend each other when need be. Wholesome ASF.
The art is insane, very expressive, so much so you could actually get an idea of what every character is thinking before they say anything. Very nice indeed. The comedic schtick is a very nice touch as well, excellent timing. The voice actors are literally perfect for their roles, believable to a T.
Like i said before, I went into this not knowing anything about the story, and ended up enjoying it very much. I've seen other reviews of it being a horrible sadist story, I can't say feel the same. If this isn't your type of thing that's fine too, but as for me, can't wait to see where it goes.
I tried not to give too much away, so check it out for yourself if curious.
