It involves; super-humans, ghosts, government conspiracies, Engrish speaking Americans, main character desperately trying to save his friends from a future where everyone dies and much more. Of, course if you watch the first couple episodes of punchline, you may have doubts as punchline is more Wacky with over-the-top humor but if you watch till the end you'll realize it was actually not what you would have expected and turns out to be different.

If you liked Sakigake!! Cromartie Koukou add

...then you might like Arakawa Under the Bridge add

Both are comedies with lots of crazy characters and even similar humor Though cromartie is older as reflected in its art style Instead of being based under a bridge, in this case its a school, but there's a gorilla, robot, some guy in a luchadore mask and even Freddie Mercury in the school as well as more over-the-top crazy characters. But on the other hand Cromartie is more focused on delinquents and has no romance development
