I'm a big fan of the Ano Hana series, and rate it in my top 2 most tear jerking anime. When I heard that a movie was coming out, which was a gonna be a recap from a different perspective, I was a little apprehensive to say the least, whether or not they would be able to come anywhere close to how good the series was. Let me tell you I wasn't disappointed. Without further adieu let me start the review.
Story 8/10
Now this movie isn't flawless, but none the less very enjoyable. To give you a summary, it basically revisits the major events of the
...
first series while adding to it bits and pieces of additional story, giving it a refreshing new feel. Half way through the movie, I was like this is pretty good, but no way is it going to make me cry like the series did. Boy was I wrong! The ending really lets loose those tears even though you know exactly whats going to happen. That just goes to show how well they executed it. The one thing which I didn't really enjoy was the fact that they kept jumping to and fro in the story line, which although has its own charm, still felt a little confusing.
Characters 10/10
From the new parts added giving us a behind the scenes look at what each person felt as they were writing their letters to Menma, it really managed to achieve a level of character development not seen in other recap movies. What most of us would like to see if the original series had continued was probably how the relationships between the characters would change after Menma moved on. Though not much, the movie does touch upon this, and I'm glad it did.
Art 10/10
Wow! Not a lot of series can boast a bright and colorful animation style quite like this series had, and the movies does just as good a job, if not better. The character designs are still flawless, and the kids still just as cute. Nothing to complain about here.
Sound 10/10
Although I did miss the opening and closing music that I loved from the parent series, the background music and voice acting in the movie are impeccable, with not much left to improve on. Moving on...
Enjoyment 9/10
What can I say?I'm not gonna beat around the bush here, I came here looking to board the feels train, and I got a first class ticket.
Overall 9/10
A great new take on a classic. Has its ups and downs but still worth the ride. If your a fan of the series, give it a watch. And just to let you know there's a little bit left after the credits, so be sure to catch that too.
P.S. How'd you like the review? I'd love to hear your feedback both good and bad, or just your thoughts on the movie. Be sure to drop me a message. Thanks

I simply had to write a review for this anime because of how amazing it was. I'll try to keep my review as unbiased as possible and try to avoid any spoilers.
Story-10
This anime revolves around the theme of romance. Whats added is layer upon layer of suspense, thrills and action. What really lets this anime shine is the intricacy of the plot. What I really liked is that they didn't just give everyone super powers and say kill each other, rather they gave each individual a simple power, to be able to read the future, and with it came infinite possibilities, strengths and weaknesses. Yes
...
you heard me right weaknesses. Beneath all this turmoil is one of the best romance stories ever told. About how love can throw one into the depths of despair as well as grant them salvation.
Art-9
The art in this anime is pretty good. Not the best, but still far above average. The characters facial expressions are really well done and their emotions are well conveyed especially Yuno's.
Sound-10
Although I didn't really enjoy either of the opening songs, I must agree that they reflect the chaos that ensues. The background music is what really earns this field a 10, its really able to bring out the intensity in every scene.
Character-10
This is perhaps one of the greatest anime in terms of the abundance of character personalities it brings with it. Yuki is the main protagonist of the series, and for the most part he's a pansy, being indecisive, running from conflict and always depending on others. He does however have a good side to him as well. Gasai Yuno is what this anime is all about. She is just a melange of different emotions, switching from one to the next at the flip of a coin. Her personality in lieu of a better word is 'unique' and keeps you guessing whats actually going on in her mind. To be able to make an audience feel for a psychopathic yandre running amok with a knife at hand is no small feat. Yuno is center of the whole series and the one you should keep your eyes on.
Enjoyment-10
You never know what Yuno is going to do next. And the series has its fair share cute and fluffy romantic scenes along with a lot action and suspence. I must give you a fair warning, if you cant take extreme violence, then this may not be the anime for you. For everyone else however, it is one hell of a roller coaster ride.
Overall-10
My favorite anime by far. Unique in every sense of the word and well worth the watch.

The greatest ending the greatest anime could ask for.
If you've seen Mirai Nikki, then you know its a masterpiece with only 1 flaw, its ending. It gives us a glimpse as to what happened at the very last moment, but leaves behind an emptiness, a gap that couldn't convey all the emotions the series deserved.
That's where this OVA comes in. It explains to us what happened in that fleeting glimpse of an ending we saw.
Story 10/10
The OVA starts out at the best moment it could have, that gut wrenching, tear jerking farewell between Yuki and Yuno. It then goes on to show us how the
...
world is without the events from the first series taking place and gives a closure of sorts to the fates or the 10 other participants in the game. That just leaves us with 1st and 2nd.
The second half of the OVA goes on to show goes on to show Yuno's struggle to find her important person whom she can't remember, to fulfill that single longing that supported her through 3 parallel worlds.
Art 9/10
The animation and art style is the same as in Mirai Nikki. I must really praise the animators in doing an excellent job not just in this episode but in the entire series, they managed to convey the characters thoughts with just the art. Yuno's psychopathic face is one that will forever remain etched into my mind.
Music 10/10
Never expected there to be a new opening and closing for just this episode. Kudos to them for that. The music is to die for, and the track from the opening scene is enough to bring tears to your eyes. Need I say more?
Characters 10/10
I'd give it an 11 if that was on the scale. Yuno is in my opinion the epitome of character creation. In this episode we tend to see her in a kinder light as it focuses more on her love for Yukiteru. No new character development here but just bringing back these guys in all their former glory for one last run is enough to earn this a 10.
Enjoyment 10/10
I never imagined this episode would come out. And I never enjoyed watching an ending more than this one.
Overall 10/10
Just one episode, in 30 minutes it brings tears streaming down your cheeks and a smile to your lips. The greatest end to the greatest anime.

To watch or not to watch that is the question.
If you've seen the first season, then this is what your probably thinking: Is there anythin new?
To answer your question, I'd have to say both yes and no.
Here goes...
Story 7/10
Lets get the facts straight, this is a recap episode of the 1st season including SAO and Alfeim Online. That being said they have managed to do what most other anime couldn't by adding a bit of new content into the mix.
The story is set post season 1 where Kirito, Asuna and their friends are going to their school for SAO survivors. The pretext for the
...
recap is an investigator asking Kirito about what went on in SAO and Alfeim Online. Sounds boring right, well they also added a new underwater quest in Alfeim Online that Kirito and the whole gang decide to go on. If I had to compare this episode to any other anime, the closest thing would probably be the beach episode you normally see, with a SAO twist to it.
Art 10/10
SAO had had one of the most stunnig visual and art styles I have seen, and its at par with if not better than most of the other great anime. If nothing more its at least as good as it was in the 1st season.
Sound 9/10
I guess you'd be expecting too much if you thought there was a new opening song. Its the same as in the 1st half of season 1, but i still enjoyed listening to it just as much. The voice acting and background music are also just as good as before.
Character 7/10
We don't get to see any new character development here. Same old Kirito taking the lead, Asuna who's got his back and his little sister still chasing him (sighs).
Enjoyment 8/10
For a recap episode it was surprisingly enjoyable. Although the new story isn't much, it still quenches the thirst of fans who have been waiting for something since the first season ended and before the second season begins.
Overall 8/10
They managed to do a descent job with this episode. And a must watch for those who loved this series.

I just watched this series for the second time, and I decided to write this review because I was irked by the abundance of people who gave this anime a bad review. So here goes:
Story 9/10
The anime is set in the year 2029, where we follow the story of our MC Ouma Shu. He starts out as your run of the mill high school boy, but but his life takes a nosedive when he meets his favorite idol Inori, and is thrown into a war between the government and a terrorist group called Funeral Parlor. Both sides are very interested in him as he has
...
the ability to draw out "voids" which are the manifestations of a persons soul (some of which turn out to be pretty badass weapons). Through conflict and turmoil Shu finally chooses his path. The story takes many twists and turns from this point with Shu being thrown into one onslaught after the next. Faced with betrayal, never-ending violence and impossible decisions he has to make, Shu realizes his love and bond with Inori.
So first the positives. This anime is an amalgam of themes including music, action sci-fi and romance, and it does a pretty good job of integrating them into one great show. The romance aspect of this anime does take time to establish itself and we really start to see it from the second half of the show, but its well worth the wait. The plot is pretty good and it keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting to see how the story is going to progress next.
Now for the negatives. There were some aspects of the story that I feel didn't fit, for example the part about Inori being a Idol even though shes obviously part of a terrorist cell. Another thing that bothered me a little was the ending, which I obviously can't reveal.
But that being said the positives definitely outweigh the negatives for this show.
Art 10/10
The art in this anime is definitely a huge plus point and easy on the eyes. The characters are really drawn well and they all actually look really good. The background and scenery is flawlessly drawn and helps immerse you into the story. No qualms here.
Sound 10/10
For me a great anime to be truly great it needs a good opening song, Guilty crown doesn't fail to impress here with 2 beautiful soundtracks that are some of the best I've heard in any anime. Getting into the show the characters voice acting is done very well with just the right background music to set the mood, whether its bombs exploding and all hell breaking loose or two people embracing each others love.
Characters 8/10
To be honest there were a few characters that irritated me for example Eagleman, but those side characters aside all our main characters are really well made. We get see Shu develop from an indecisive pansy to man with guts and determination. Sadly Inori remains the same almost throughout the show with no real development except that she comes to realize her true feelings. The other characters all have their own distinct personalities, and this show does a pretty good job of unmasking the evil/good behind some of them.
Enjoyment 9/10
All I can say is that it was really a great anime and one that I thoroughly enjoyed watching a second time. It appeals to a wider audience due to the abundant genres it encompasses, and keeps you hooked till the end.
Overall 9/10
Overall this series is really under appreciated and well worth the watch whether your in it for the action, plot or the romance.

An exceptionally brilliant masterpiece. That's pretty much how I'd describe this anime. Packed with vibrant characters, sweet romance and unparalleled comedy, this anime never has a dull moment.
The story is pretty straight forward. You have your average high school guy forced to move to the Sakurasou dorms because his old dorm didn't allow him to keep pets. There he meets the cast of this show, a crazy senior and her childhood friend, a NEET living in the next room who communicates to the outside through an AI program named maid-chan, and the newest resident named Mashiro who our protagonist needs to take care of because
...
she has 'issues'. Add in his classmate who has a crush on him and your set for a crazy ride through happyland. For the most part the show is pretty upbeat and fast paced stressing on the bonds of friendship and the courage to stand together through thick and thin.
Art gets a 10 hands down. Art is a main theme in this anime and they sure don't disappoint us when it comes to the anime style. Colorful and able to convey the mood be it happy or sad. No problems here.
Sound gets a 9. A stunning opening soundtrack and decent closing one make you want to listen to em through each of the 24 episodes. That coupled with a nice selection of background music really helps to bring out the characters feelings.
Character development in this anime outshines most others. It delves into the hearts of each of the characters, exposing to us the other side each person has. You really start to laugh with them, cry with them and root for them when the going gets tough. By the end of this anime I personally loved each character, despite their initial impressions.
Enjoyment 10 !! There's a reason its on my top 5 anime list out of the 300+ I've seen so far. One of the few anime that made me laugh out loud and kept a smile plastered on my face from start to finish. Its not all about comedy, there's a great romance in this show, more than 1 in fact, and it keeps you hooked all the way.
Overall a 10 on my list. A must watch whether your looking for romance, laughs, or simply a great anime to watch.
