This review is valid for both seasons and might contain mild spoilers.
There are probably enough reviews telling you how bad this anime is and why you shouldn't watch it, but I want to go into more detail and add in some comments as to why it's so bad.
Story: Pathetic. Numerous plot holes. Whenever there was the slightest chance of plot development or the inclusion of some interesting backstory to a character, it was either cut abruptly or used in a repetitive, predictable, and straight-up boring formula (in the latter case, to explain why the characters are how they are). In the first season, we are
...
introduced to at least 3 characters whose stories could have been interesting additions to the main plot, but we're left with nothing.
Art: Poor. If you consider the still images, the art is not bad, if you're into shoujo style. But animation? Pff, nope. They definitely chose to invest a total of zero pennies on this part of the budget. I cringed hard during one of the "action" scenes in the second season, i.e. how they jumped.
Sound: Decent. The reason I didn't give this a lower grade is that there were at least a couple soundtracks, "Midnight Love" and "Sad Memories" that are actually good. These would've complemented the show nicely, had they chosen to make it a worthwhile series. The rest of the soundtrack, albeit not bad, is rarely used. If you google it yourself, some of the tracks are quite good, but I don't remember hearing even half of it.
Character: Pathetic. The heroine (if you can call her that) is a pancake, like so wisely put by one of the guys there, because she has no brain and no will of her own. Character development is something that they also chose not to include in this show. The heroine is a blank slate that continues to be a blank slate throughout the entire show, while the male protagonists are minimally impacted by her presence since her arrival - they keep on being assholes, and don't, at one second, care about her fainting from losing too much blood or becoming anemic. If they do point it out, it's because they don't want to lose their storage of tasty blood. In this category, the second season might be a step-up from the first, but it doesn't do a good job either.
Enjoyment: Poor. I watched this in the hopes of getting a similar vibe to Vampire Knight, but boy, was I mistaken. This doesn't deserve to be compared to VK, it's just too low. VK is what this series could've come close to being if they chose to put a decent effort into it and if they'd put in a MC with an actual personality.
Overall: Dreadful. Overall, the complete show feels like a merry-go-round comprised of short moments of the heroine with all the other MCs: short, unmeaningful encounters meant for fan servicing only. A cringe-fest. Any enjoyment coming from this show would be from recognizing the dreadful mistakes made during its execution, listening to its soundtrack later, or finding out about the drinking game derived from it. There are plenty of other anime with hot guys out there but with actual content. Go watch one of those instead.
