The teachers that are calm and nice are not always the best. In both of these school centered manga, the main character is a perverted and violent teacher that may seem like that he isn't doing what's right, but the fact is that they are just using unconditional methods to guide their students through school-life and their personal troubles. If you enjoyed one of these school manga with action and comedy, then you should enjoy the other.

A lot of the time when one is explaining a popular shonen servers, one hears the word "generic" but when explaining these two anime, the word to use is "exciting". HxH and Naruto are about young boys who start their journey to complete a goal of becoming something: Naruto wants to be Hokage and Gon wants to become a great Hunter. Both anime have many different characters which are unique and memorable. Both have many arcs that tie into a meta narrative. If you are looking for a fun action/adventure anime, then these two are a good choice.

Holyland and Angel Densetsu are both about two innocent male students who get involved in a world of fighting. Both center around thug life and fighting. Both MCs are gifted fighters and attract other people around them. Angel Densetsu is more light hearted and is centered around comedy, while Holyland is a mature drama that illustrates fighting forms and techniques. If you enjoyed one of these manga, then I believe that you will enjoy the other.

Both historical fiction manga revolve around a young warrior aiming to become either "invincible under the heavens" or "a great general under the heavens" both manga follow a youth who sets out for a path of glory at a young age. Both series revolve around its characters and are illustrated by some of the best artists in Japan. Both show how gruesome a battle can be, with no side necessarily being the "good guys".

I know what you are thinking: What does boxing anime have in common with a sci-fi samurai comedy? Well to be perfectly honest, almost nothing. If you enjoy each for their story, then this recommendation isn't for you. Now with that out of the way, the reason I recommend these titles together is because they have the same foundation; and that foundation is toilet humor. If you enjoy the perverted jokes that are very present in Ippo, then you will love Gintama, because each episode is about 18~ minutes of that.

These are Jump's two greatest ongoing battle shonen. Both have massive worlds filled with numerous unique and like able characters. Both revolve around adventure and a charismatic MC that gains many allies along the way. If you are a fan of shonen (hell, if you are a fan of anime) then you should watch both of these.

I like to believe that when Gorilla was a young chimp, that still suckled on his momma's tweet, he read Togashi's Level E. Both comedies are set in an alien invaded Japan (although the humans don't know about the aliens in Level E). But the only real reason I recommend these anime in a pair is that they were made to troll you.

Eden: It's an Endless World!

I am currently reading Nausicaa, and I get a great feeling that Endo's Eden was heavily influenced by Miyazaki's masterpiece. Both are set in post-apocalyptic worlds, that are plagued by an mysterious force; in Eden it is a virus & and in Nausicaa it is a forest of mutated spores and giant insects. Each story follows a young character who emotionally grows throughout the story. One of my favorite similarities between the two is that they have many philosophical points (Although in Eden they are explained, while in Nausicaa they are more hidden), that make you question humanity.

These two anime are SO much alike and I think a list will best describe the similarities: *Both have main characters, who are masters at killing, but are instead pacifists. *The main struggle of each is that the MC is trying to escape his past, but each must ultimately confront. *Both are action heavy, but have a very goofy side. *MC have scars!!!!

Both manga have a focus on Adventure and friendship. He settings may be completely different, but each arc takes place in a new place with new adventures. Both have a humongous variety of characters, and have entertaining action and comedy. The biggest difference between the two (other than the setting) is that Magi has a larger focus on war while One Piece is freedom.

Now plot-wise these two share little similarities other than the fact that each anime's main protagonist is a younger male who loses his mother in the beginning of the story. The reason for my recommendation is the incredible quality these two (mature) anime share. Both have incredible stories, with numerous plot twists. Both are very action-heavy and don't hold back any punches with gore and mature themes. If you enjoy one of these, then I'm certain you will enjoy the other.

These two manga have a very similar set up: Both protagonists are OP. Enemies are built up, but defeated with minimal effort. They both have very similar humor, which gives each manga, almost zero serious moments. Biggest differences is the presence of Demon Power in Beelzebub, and it's high school setting. I recommend both manga to action-comedy manga fans.
