This show is an isekai about managing a country, i have been waiting for a show like this for ages, as mediaeval administration is an underrated genre that Anime definitely has the capacity to earn a decent buck utilizing. However, for a show like this to be regarded as high-quality for all those management nerds who enjoy things like draw fictional borders of fictional worlds and play fantasy strategy games There are things you have to keep in mind when theres a show about managing an actual, living, breathing state.

1. You gotta pay attention to details and make sure decisions made by characters affect ... the entire world around it. Good and Bad.
Realist Hero fails this by instituting solutions that have no backlash or unforseen consequences. Any decision made by PERFECT ISEKAI PROTAGONIST #324 is calculated to have literally no negatives and if there are, those get solved within minutes

2. Whats the nations history?
The nations history is that it used to be good, now it sucks. not good enough.

3. A threat that isnt just a bad guy, be it a lack of natural resources, inflation, constant war, famine, disease or weakness, or any other problem that can affect something as large and intangible as a kingdom. The only major issues are solved within a single episode and those that arent (like staffing problems (which is solved in like 2 days)) are solved with no backlash at all. The general concensus that PERFECT ISEKAI PROTAGONIST #324 is a usurper that threatens the balance of power in the Nation, which is such a major issue in the series that it leads to a civil war that is won in mere days, which leads to my next problem.

4. UNDERSTAND THAT CHANGE ON AN ADMINISTRATIVE, NATIONAL LEVEL, ESPECIALLY IN A FEUDAL SOCIETY, IS SLOW AND DIFFICULT. All of the problems PERFECT ISEKAI PROTAGONIST #324 faces is something that he fixes in literal DAYS. YOU CANNOT FIX A CRISIS REGARDING A LACK OF FOOD JUST BY SELLING SOME SHIT AND REPLACING SOME CROPS, What about the cotton farmers that need a new job? what about the valuables that you organised literally with critera as "useful" and "Not Useful" that were considered not useful at the time but might have political power or repercussions later on? What about the literal fucking talent show taking place with extremely convinient literal actual Televisions AND THE EXTREMELY RISKY POLITICAL SITUATION OF ASCENDING SOME RANDO TO THE THRONE AND NOBODY GIVING A SHIT ABROAD? the most we get is the """EMPIRE""""(creative name btw) saying "aw we wanted that guy" and doing nothing else despite the fact that they introduce a law that bans war (Fat fucking chance) between the civillised nations and not be even a little worried that some average joe from god-knows-where taking over a country considered an important financial ally?

Why is the continent shaped like a fucking shitty looking sideways Australia, why is a civil war not taken advantage of by outside sources? why (In part 2) IS LITERALLY KILLING 90 PERCENT OF ALL OF YOUR NOBLES, SOMETHING THAT FRANCE DID IN REAL LIFE AND HAD EVERY COUNTRY SIMUTANEOUSLY DECLARE WAR ON THEM FOR DOING SO HAVE LITERALLY NO REPERCUSSIONS!??!
YOU CANNOT PHYSICALLY HAVE PERFECT ISEKAI PROTAGONIST #324 BE PERFECT TO SUCH A DEGREE HE FIXES AND SPECIALISES A PREVIOUSLY WEAKENED AND UNDERVALUED STATE IN A MATTER OF MONTHS. NO COUNTRY, NO MATTER HOW FAST THEIR ADMINISTRATION WAS, TURNED THEIR COUNTRY AROUND IN LESS THAN HALF A YEAR. IM LAUGHING, BECAUSE IT LITERALLY SAYS IN THE BLURB FOR PART 2 OF THIS SHOW THAT PERFECT ISEKAI PROTAGONIST #324'S PLAN TO GET OUT OF REPARATIONS FOR A WARTHAT HE DID NOT EVEN START IS "PERFECT". NO PLAN THAT INVOLVES A WHOLE COUNTRY IN THE BALANCE WILL EVER HAVE NO CONSEQUENCES, AND THIS SHOW FORGOT THAT IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE SOMETHING THAT WASNT AN ISEKAI POWER FANTASY. YOU CANT HAVE YOUR CAKE AND EAT IT WHEN YOU ARE MANAGING A LITERAL FEUDAL STATE.

This isnt even touching the boring-ass, paint-by-numbers characters, like fat man who likes food, chick with tits, chick who acts cold but also is maid, chick who is nerd and made a fucking gundam, Lion man who is prideful (ugh), king who literally looks like a soy-infused amalgamation of the fucking King playing card............

When i play strategy games, i usually end up frustrated, because no matter how hard i try, i cannot fix everything, this guy, a civil servant, from the 2000s who likes history, never makes any administrative blunders and powers through his conflicts like hes the nicest and most tolerant genius the world has ever seen while also having makavellian level politiking to the point where he seduces the number 1 great power in the world despite threatening their status as a great power, and yes, i get that there are demons and shit, but trust in me that a hostile threat that becomes more powerful by the day would only be used as a bargaining chip for shit like unification, especially when done by a massive, multi-ethnic empire that is essentially fighting the war for the entire continent.

All in all, the show isnt great, and especiaally considering that a show that released at the exact same time that is not only very similar to Realist Hero, but more Realistic, More character driven and practical, and most of all, not a fucking Isekai, which is Genius Prince, this show was doomed fom minute one.
well, what exactly can you do but feel bad for it? its scope was too narrow for it to appeal to alot of people but it doesent deliver to the audience it wants, it essentially wallows in ISEKAI-LAND instead of trying to be what it wanted to be, which is an intelligent, administrative focused show with multiple layers and a unique perspective akin to the usual "troupe of cool adventurers that are cool". All this show actually did was move the "Cool isekai adventurer friends" and put them into a politicians suit. And that, is simply not enough.

Solo Leveling started off good, for a manhwa anyway.
I have a bias against manhwa, as they are usually a bunch of boring korean/Chinese propaganda machines with art produced by a 20-man strong team of underpaid slaves to make a mediocre-at-best power trip with all the ideas of storytelling that i hate. However, people said it was the best manhwa ever so i guess i had to try.

It started as a simple Zero-to-hero story which i could get behind and i enjoyed the show for the first 50 r so chapters, the demon girl was awesome, the rest of the characters were not great, but ... for a manhwa. passable. The obvious anti-Japanese propaganda in the form of "villains" that made no impact (as if to state how useless they are) and a character getting so powerful it was kinda ridiculous. And you know what? i was willing to give this like a 6 or a 7 if it kept up this realm of quality, but it got mediocre near the end and the fight scenes genuinely became boring after a while, as someone who prefers CHARACTER BEATS instead of hitting some guy with a metal dagger. it got boring quick. and while literally every single character had the personality of a saltine cracker, i was still reading it, so i was willing to let it slide
Then the ending decided to drop my score by 3 fucking points.

I hate "resets" so reversing all character development in place for some more action was a fucking narrative disaster. The art, while impressive, needs to be held up with story because you just cant appreciate a fight scene if the outcome has no fucking stakes. And the main character was so perfect that he just HAD to fix the whole world by himself, which is an outdated and very Asian ideology that doesent sit right with me. I know its a controversial opinion with how popular it is but everyone who said it "wasnt your average manhwa" or, "isnt your average power fantasy" is a liar and i wish i didnt give manhwa another chance after being burned by its inferiority for the 4th time in a row.

But the biggest offense is the main character, Sung Jin is OP, but he has nothing to threaten his overpowerdness, Ainz Oal Goon is afraid of his house of cards collapsing and his guardians betraying him when he shows weakness, so he is constantly shoved out of his comfort zone because people overestimate his self confidence, Mob from Mob Psycho is unfascinated by his powers and sees power in the ordinary and the norma, he is threatened by himself and the power he wields that could lose control and hurt others, Kumoko from im a spider so what, literally earns her power from the second she was born and despite that is constantly shoved into situations that exploit her weaknesses. ALL OF THESE CREATE TENSION AND ESTABLISH THAT JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE IS POWERFUL DOESENT MEAN THEY ARE PERFECT OR WILL NEVER WITNESS HARDSHIP, BECAUSE THAT IS SIMPLY NOT ENTERTAINING.

Sung Jin has no goal, he has no threat, he has no personality, so he cant feel fear, be cowardly, or even be awkward with girls because he is so perfect he isnt even a self insert character anymore cause that implies that he is an actual human being. he never feels like hes going to lose because he excersised his confidence issues that he had in the early chapters away for some fucking reason, he seduces every woman that so much as breathes the same air as him, he always saves the lives of people he cares about with perfect timing, so nobody important to him dies, in fact the only reason he goes back in time is to save 3 FUCKING PEOPLE WHO HE HAD NO REAL ATTATCHMENT TO, HIS LOVE INTEREST NEVER DIES BECAUSE HE SAVES HER WITHOUT BREAKING A SWEAT, HIS SISTER NEVER DIES BECAUSE HE SAVES HER JUST IN TIME BUT NOT BEFORE SOME RANDOS DIE FOR DRAMATIC EFFECT, HIS FRIENDS NEVER DIE BECAUSE HE DOES EVERYTHING HIMSELF AND HE STILL DECIDES TO ERASE THE ENTIRE FUCKING STORY WE SPENT HOURS OF OUR LIVES WATCHING BECAUSE HE IS LITERALLY TOO MUCH OF A SOLO PLAYER THAT HE DOES THINGS HIMSELF AGAIN, BUT THIS TIME EVEN MORE ALONE THAN BEFORE DESPITE BEING ALONE IN THE MAIN STORY BECAUSE THE SERIES IS CALLED SOLO FUCKING LEVELLING. WHY DID YOU NOT INTRODUCE A THREAT, WHY COULDNT YOU HAVE KEPT SUN JINS PERSONALITY FROM THE FIRST COUPLE OF CHAPTERS, WHAT IF HE TRIED TO BECOME POWERFUL BUT WAS SET BACK BY HIS VERY HIGHLY DOCUMENTED REPUTATION FOR HAVING BAD LUCK, WHY DID HIS ONE PERSONALITY TRAIT OF HAVING AN INABILITY TO ESCAPE A FIGHT UNSCATHED DISSAPEAR THE SECOND HE BECAME BUFF AND HANDSOME, WHY IS HE NO LONGER AWKWARD OR INTELLIGENT DURING FIGHTS, WHY WAS HE ONLY USING HIS BRAIN FOR THE FIRST FIGHT OF THE SERIES BUT THE REST WAS HIM JUST SHITTING HIS OP-NESS AT HIS ENEMY, WHY DOES HE NEVER ENCOUNTER A THREAT THAT NEARLY OVERCOMES HIM IN THE CLIMAX OF THE STORY AND WHEN IT EVENTUALLY DOES, WHY DOES HE NEVER CONSIDER DEFEAT AN OPTION AND HAS ENDLESS SELF CONFIDENCE THAT WAS LITERALLY NONEXISTEN AT THE BEGINNING, WHERE DID HE EVEN GENERATE SELF CONFIDENCE IN THE FIRST PLACE. I THOUGHT HE STARTED OFF AS A WEAKLING WHO NEEDED TO BE PROTECTED, WHY DOES HE CHANGE THE SECOND HE GETS EVEN A TINY BIT POWERFUL, WHY DIDNT WE GET SOMETHING COOL LIKE A PRINCE OF DARKNESS THAT WAS AFRIAD OF HIS OWN NECROMANCY OR HIS ARMY OF ZOMBIE MONSTERS, OR A GUY WHO WAS SUPER POWERFUL BUT BAD AT COMMUNCATION, OR A GUY WHO WAS INCREDIBLY POWERFUL BUT CONSTANTLY UNDERMINED BY HIS OWN LACK OF CONFIDENCE OR LITERALLY ANY ANOTHER EXTERNAL ISSUE IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM.

Holy Shit!

TLDR: good start, boring middle, and actively offensive and insulting ending that invalidates any investment i had in the show, no matter how little it was. Sorry about the wall of text but i seriously dont understand how this is the number 1 manhwa in the world.

Your name is a film that thrives on simplicity, but it doesent go as far with it as i hoped.
its a film that does things that other, big budget movies LOVE to do.
trick your brain into thinking the movie appeals to you when it really appeals to everyone.
Just like Marvel films, and some other anime films, Your name does alot of things in an attempt to appeal to as broad an audience as possible. it never goes far into one genre, wallowing in sci-fi, comedy, romance, and slice of life specifically, and as a fan of all these genres it would appeal to me on ... paper, right?

by having such a broad appeal, Your Name fails to inject any uniqueness into the film. and while Your Name is said to make people cry, my eyes were dry as bone. it is by no means a terrible movie, just like some marvel films and anime, it feels unfair to say it isnt good, it is good. but unlike some truly great peices of media, it doesent want to appeal to a specific audience, afraid of insulting other ones.
this is why it made so much money, because it uses a trick that i hate. make the film broad and samey in order to maximise profits. i liked the film, but i felt manipulated or shoved in a certain direction. I originally watched this film expecting the body swapping to remain the main plot point, but i got too much of too little. And thats why its a 6. its Art is amazing, and the studio probably neglected alot of animators to make it that good, the sound design is nice, but it lacks identity. i enjoyed the characters, but only because there wasnt a reason to hate them or love them, they didnt appeal to me or turn me off in the same way the plot does.
in my opinion, characters make the story, and plot is super important in any peice of media. and by having such a broad range of appeal, it ticked the popularity box, but its sadly shallow and unassuming. it avoids any risks and plays it safe. i dont regret watching it, but i wont be again

This is not an anime, this is an overhyped, underwhelming series of shitty generic characters, plotlines and excuses, a mishmash of idiocy that wouldve been directed by michael bay if every female character had to have a wet tshirt scene.

The plot is impossible to explain in a review, it moves to one trend to another like an ADHD manchild and somehow only keeps the worst parts of anshounen series

Want an annoying "quirky" goofball main character that becomes unfarily op with no effort? GOH has got it
Want the motivation of LITERALLY EVERY CHARACTER to be "I WaNT To GeT ... StrOnGeR" we got that
Want characters that scream every attack they make like its 2005 again? WE FUCKING GOT THAT

The animation was great bit that doesent make it good, it makes it a waste of talent ruined by writers who dont understand what fucking time period theyre in and try to fit 50 epsiode series into one seasonal series, we got flashbacks, we got a bunch of Cg for the final act and more!

The worst parts for me was the early fights, the shit was so inconsistent, the level system was forgotten in the first fight. The health bar never exists and the power bar gets one 2 second scene after its introduction. When MC gets knocked down, he gets a 20 second countdown, when his friend gets knocked, they get 10, IF YOU ARE NOT A MAIN CHARACTER, FUCK YOU, FALL OVER ONCE AND YOU LOSE IMMEDIATELY, these people got plot armour the size of the EARTHS CRUST. If you arent a main character and you are fighting a side character, have fun! You get ONE FRAME OF YOU GETTING YOUR ASS KICKED AND NEVER A FULL FIGHT, its like they realised the main characters were going to win and said nah lets forget the thing WE ADVERTISED AND ONLY DO A SMALL AMOUNT OF FIGHTS, BECAUSE LYING TO A FANBASE NEVER DESTROYS TRUST. I cant even tell you how many inconsistent little details they fucked up but i am not listing them all cause if i DID, the list would be longer than the lord of the rings novels, one more thing as a side note is good job on making 9 different characters be the supposed "most powerful " of the series before immediately having them fight another guy whos stronger than the other guy in the space of 10 seconds.

i hate this show because its too good to me.
to explain, in my real life (ugh) i am an unfiltered, introverted and paranoid individual who goes out of his way to puncture a conversation with severe dark humor like a girl really wanting to have a kid but doesent want to make the commitment to marriage punctures a condom. dammit, i did it again.

Tsurezure Children is the feel good show, llike a nice-girl-next-to your-seat way. they explain through character moments and good writing that anyone can get a partner, and that someone is dedicated to someone else as a romantic relationship. and i can appreciate ... that level of love for a viewer. i really really recommend reading the Tsurezure Children manga because its the only way to get closure for this show.

Tsurezure Children has a couple of issues, its a little too perfect looking environmentally, the small majority of characters personalities that are super cool athletic kids that, in real life, probably went through 8 girlfriends in one year, at least where i come from. every individual character is a little one-note due to there being like 9 characters, which is fixed in the manga as well as expanded upon to around 20. and i guarantee you there will be one couple you dont give 2 solid shits about. in my case it was Katori Shinichi's whole thing. and there were only a few characters i really really liked and wanted their relationships to work out (Ryouko and Masafumi, yuki and naoru and motoyama god bless his soul) i liked more manga exclusive characters than anime ones,really, but that bits all down to preference

The reason i hate reading/watching this show, however, is that after i finished it i really really wanted a girlfriend. it did its job, it broke me and my isolationist ass.and can you really be mad at a show for trying to get you to do something and succeeding? like K-On or a place further than the universe? nah, i can winge about this show giving me the dreaded feels but i can never hate it, and thats harder to achieve than you think

Its a show that is difficult to hate, ill give it that. Its amazing worldbuilding, Art and off the charts sound design can only get you so far though. Trigger needs to focus on story more almost entirely because they care TOO much about the other things. The plot, is crap. Its a generic race is good show that Zootopia did way way better and Sheild Hero did more brutally. It wallows in western tv where the dumbest most incompetent ... directiors make lazy excuses to defend their films by saying "if you dont like it youre a racist". And it copies directly off other animals are actually races shows Like Beastars and Zootopia. The first 10 episodes are jumbled and disorganised, showing everyone off and braggin that their animations look cool. Then it remembers it has a storiy and CRAMS THE CLIMAX IN TEN MINUTES, TEN FUCKING MINUTES. Like why do they do this. The worst part is the story climax was parped out, not even as flamboyant as TRIGGER expects. Say what you want about darling in the franxx but the climax was a spectacle, even if the spectacle rained shit in our eyes.
Characters are about as lazy as trigger can do. Remember Sakura or Ruoko from KILL LA Kill? And how their unique personalities clashed alot like fire and ice? Now you got a justice loving cop guy who fits into the quote "hes a loose cannon but by god hes good" extremely well, which is bad. The main character is alright except shes a bit brainless most of the time. Her friend is a dumb bitch who changes her view at the drop of a pin and the villan. Fuck the villan, hes garbage, hes predictable as fuck, hes unsubtle and he went out like a queec near the end for the motivation that he stole from lord Voldemort.

I really really really hope Trigger tries harder with Edgerunners cause thats the last chance they get before i abandon their asses and sit in my little Kill la Kill hole and never leave

There was a period of time where anime watching slowed down for me and was more of a distraction to prevent me from shoving my head in the nearest oven and not a medium i watched religously, im back in the groove now but in that period the only show i remember watching every week and getting so excited a schoolboy awaiting his first blowjob feels im being a bit much. and that was love is war, arbitrarily my favourite rom-com of all time Love is War Season 2, what can i say about the season that hasnt already been said, really, its better than ... season one. which is impressive, And heres why-
it takes more risks.

The show is more erratic, more colourful, less like the manga and more like its own thing while still staying true to the source material, the characters are more defined, new characters are even more multi-layered, its more meta, its funnier, it focuses alot on Kaguya and Shirogane but doesent neglect the secondary characters. Ishigami gets probably the best backstory ive ever seen, with genuine emotion wrangling itself from my reluctant horrible body. im not a crier, and i didnt cry in this show yet, but i got pretty close. for comparison, i got closer to crying than when the Avengers Endgame Climax finished, a universe ive followed my whole life since Iron Man, and this series, which ive known for less than a year did it to me. No way a show can do that to me and not get a 10.
Everyone in this show deserves a Best Girl Award, yes, everyone

Okay now lower your hand, i know that that was an onvious question to ask anime fans but i digress.
Ok lets talk the actual show like a proper reviewer and not a fuckin ingenerate retard who knows too little about anime to review them yet.
Tejina Senpai is a show that exists, it has done nothing more or less than exist and that makes it average in my book, it does nothing special but i got a laugh once or twice and i only ever paid attention to the jiggle animation in the department of the animation quality.
While a dedicated member ... of the Flat Chest party, additionally known as Flat is justice or National Socialism. I still enjoyed Magical senpais character and her assets, which was the intention, the only notable character is the straight man who i forgot the name of and the rest are so boring and one note that not even the anime remembers them most of the time. Its an echii whow so ill talk about echii a bit more, its pretty good, not amazing but maybe cause ive been spoiled by Highschool Dxd and interspecies reviewers in the tits department anyway.

Regarding the plot, what plot? Theres no progression of any characters and everything is the same as when it started so why the fuck do i even need to explain why i didnt like it,the show couldve ended at episode 1 and nothing wouldve changed in any way.
If it was longer, then id have to watch more of something i didnt care about so the fact it was super short in my books meant it gets a 5 and not a 4, its closer to a 4 than a 6. Its good for some brainless fanservice and magical senpai is a good character to look up hentai for without feeling guilty and self concious after.

This show is fuckin' boring, but i still had a tiny bit of enjoyment in it

im pretty sure i saw this show(especially the festival) in other original romcom harems like the quintissential quintuplets. it dosent want to be different and decides to continue to check off their list of annoying anime cliches without substance, oh yeah, and itll never end until the author dies, there will be no winning girl(again, unlike quintuplets) and itll never have an interesting conclusion. the verbal jokes were funny but the physical jokes were dumbed down to "girl has something lewd done to her with nobody ACTUALLY at fault so ... its a misunderstanding"

its like it was designed as a guide for all the anime cliches you should know in romcoms so you can understand other, better anime that has a proper concept and story
