Romance is the genre featuring the best works of fiction as well as the most generic. Watching a romance show is like throwing a dice and hoping it will be the one show to capture your heart. Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu, or in short "Bokuyaba" is that show you have been throwing so many dice to find.
Ichikawa Kyoutarou, the protagonist of our story displays stereotypical signs of asocial behaviour. He reads books to distance himself from everyone in his class. Just like other stories about asocial individuals, however, this story has a savior that will help Ichikawa gain the human-to-human interactions, that all
...
of us no matter how introverted we are crave in one way or another.
Unlike other stories featuring similarly minded protagonists, however, Ichikawa reaches out for help. It is nice to dream about somebody helping you gain friends despite the social barrier that you built around yourself, but realistically, nobody will help you if you do not help yourself first. Ichikawa helps himself in ways he describes as "messed up", he thinks he screwed up every time, but these "screw ups" just lure Anna Yamada closer to him and let her gradually help to make Ichikawas life better.
Anna herself isn't some sort of extroverted expert either, she does get shy at times, especially around topics such as romance, but in Kyoutarous's eyes she is an angel, he strives to protect her no matter what, even when those things he does can be an inconvenience to him. Both of them make many mistakes along the way, and many misunderstandings happen, but they forgive each other and the first one they blame is themselves.
Many romance shows are described as "unnecessarily dragged out", to those who describe them as such, I ask "Isn't that the same case with real romance as well?". You do not become lovers over a single day, week, month sometimes even years, especially in the case of relationships that happen in middle school, while in an awkward limbo between dating and being friends it still counts as a romantic relationship, you never refer to each other as partners because of your age and the purity you still have as kids. Speaking of age, Kyoutarou says multiple times how scared he is of growing up. The older you get, the less forgiving people are towards the mistakes you make, they judge you more, since "You should know better as an adult". The fear of growing up is very mature and makes the fact that Kyoutarou is very smart much more believable.
In conclusion, Bokuyaba offers something that no other romance show I have seen offered me, realism. Realism not even live-action romance shows can offer to you. Bokuyaba is a very mature romance show featuring very immature kids that however at times display more sense and empathy than adults in other fictional stories do. 10/10 perfect adaptation of a perfect story.

Little over 2 years ago I was forced by my friend to watch the idolm@ster series, I watched both seasons and they were way better than I could have ever anticipated, while imagining idol anime I always thought it was garnered towards a specific group, mainly females, that see themselves in the shoes of the cute idols. What I found out after going through the series, is that idols have both appeal to male and female audiences.
While females see themselves as cute idols dancing on the stage, males see themselves as the producer or boyfriend/husband of a specific idol. Trust me there is nothing
...
better than watching the idolm@ster series while beefing with your friends about which idol waifu belongs to you, putting her as your profile picture, and becoming an equivalent of a stereotypical otaku with glowsticks, cheering every time your wife gets screen time.
Seeing that a new season of his beloved show is about to air, the same friend invited us all to watch it together weekly, and I must say, this made me realize something. This anime is best enjoyed with friends. Waiting for the next episode to air while spamming the "On my way to U149 Wednesdays" GIF, spamming sob emoji, and the phrase "UOOOOOGHHHHH 😭😭😭" became more than just a meme, but a friendship code. Just the thought of the U149 anime adaptation ending and these sessions coming to an end makes me tear up a little (Uooooghhh 😭).
"Why a 10/10 tho?" - While I do not think that it can be enjoyed by everyone alone, U149 is almost guaranteed to entertain you and your friends in a group watch, while its story is nothing really deep, it never aimed to be that. Many might refer to the original Idolm@ster and how many great emotional scenes it had, this anime isn't about that. It aims to make the person watching it happy, and it certainly does that for me. So what are you waiting for? Pick up popcorn and soda, gather your homies, and have a great time, since that is what life is about.

I hear praise for this show everywhere, but I disagree with everyone who praises this show. I gave it three episodes and found out it really is not something I would enjoy, that is why I am dropping the show and leaving a negative review.
My home hero gives me Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor vibes, especially in the third episode, I loved Kaiji, but this anime does not have the same effect, if you have seen Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor you know the feeling of sitting on the edge of your seat and being absolutely immersed in the plot, getting goosebumps from dramatic scenes and hoping for Kaiji
...
to get out of his current situation. Maybe it is this comparison that made me hate this show, but if this show was truly good, even if I made this comparison in my head, I should still be able to enjoy it.
The pacing makes it so hard to immerse yourself that I ended up not even caring about dramatic moments, and just watched them hoping for the episode to be over as soon as possible. Honestly pacing is probably the worst thing about this show, that is why I might check out its manga once I have time.
I know this review will be hated on because of the love this show receives, but if there is anything I want you to know, is that this show isn't for everyone, and certainly was not for me.

INTRODUCTION:
I just want to state how much I love this anime before I even start, it has been only 4 episodes, and I am already convinced that this anime is one of the best ecchi shows that came out in recent years. Ecchi anime nowadays is trash most of the time (in my opinion), the MC is either really evil or generic, and the character cast is usually really uninteresting.
EXPLANATION BEHIND MY HIGH SCORE:
I am giving this anime score it deserves as an ecchi anime, do not try to point out to me how I rate more thrilling shows lower scores, I think that everyone
...
should rate shows based on how they represent their own genre, Futoku no Guild does this for ecchi nearly perfectly.
WHY IT IS WORTH WATCHING:
What does it do simply so great that it deserves such a high rating? Simply put, it reintroduces concepts that I really loved about older ecchi anime, back when anime was not as popular in the West, and Japan was overall influenced less by the Western culture, the studios were bolder, putting in "loli" characters and other controversial concepts for the Western audience. That is why most veteran weebs you meet, will say they are totally fine with things like that.
CHARACTERS:
The cast of this show is so well designed, in ecchi shows most characters have the same face, but this anime actually took character types not even popular in the ecchi genre and added them to the main cast. My personal favorite is Dannar (the Dark Sorcerer girl), the main reason why she is my favorite is that this style of eyebrows is something I saw only in non-ecchi shows, so this is my first time seeing a character like this unclothed, and honestly, she is perfect.
CONCLUSION:
Futoku no Guild is simply not afraid at all, but the thing that is a selling point for me, is how it fuses those concepts with the modern culture, what I do not like about anime nowadays is how it just takes old concepts and does not change them at all, basically the same stuff over and over. This show took all the things I love about ecchi and improved on them, which is why it deserves 9/10, it is just simply new reborn hope that ecchi anime might become great again.

First off I would like to say to anyone who hasn't seen Yofukashi no Uta yet, this review is spoiler free, and I recommend watching it right now since it is the best show to come out in recent years, if you aren't convinced, read my review and judge if it is worth your time:
From the very first episode, I was drawn in by the unique concept, vibrant colors, amazing characters, and breathtaking OSTs. The blend of colors makes the night look beautiful, if not even more beautiful than real nights. The night looks so good actually, that when the anime shifts to a day,
...
you suddenly want it to be night again. As someone who loves going out at night, I found this quite appealing, wanting to be taken away by a vampire as well and falling in love with her.
The mood of the night is enhanced by amazing OSTs that make you feel really comfy and together with the vibrant colors make this show something really special. In the last few years new anime reuses the same concepts over and over, Yofukashi no Uta chose something so original, you cannot compare it to any other show because of its originality.
Everything takes a darker turn in episode 11, I won't spoil it, but the sudden twist is quite surprising and makes the MC feel like a real human you can relate to, not just another simple-brained MC that makes stupid decisions fast, but a real human that actually has his own doubts, and thinks about his decisions.
Final thoughts: I am giving this show 9/10 since it made me feel like there is still hope for something original to be born in this community that consumes the same concepts over and over. I am hoping for a second season. Thank you for reading, please give it a try.

The most wholesome manga I have ever read.
Story:
First I would like to point out, how this manga single-handedly manages to change your perception of character in just a few panels. First I didn't really like the teacher and thought that she is just another strict teacher character, but the mangaka managed to convince me in just a few panels that she is the cutest teacher anybody could wish for.
A lot of people think that teacher x student love is really controversial theme, but it isn't anything new to us that watch anime or read the manga.
But unlike other Teacher X Student stories, this one
...
isn't that perverted and is really wholesome instead. Even people that don't think that student x teacher love should be a thing, end up cheering for them.
art:
The art just adds up to the wholesome atmosphere and makes you scream at the mc to kiss the teacher already.
The design of the mc is pretty original, but I haven't read that many romcom mangas to know, his faces are sometimes almost as cute as the teacher's.
The teacher has one of the cutest character designs I have ever seen. She might be 25, but she still looks cuter than normal schoolgirls (especially without glasses).
summary:
One of the best mangas I have ever read, if you love wholesome stuff, this is a must-read, thanks for taking your time to read my review.

HIDDEN GEM HIDDEN GEM HIDDEN GEM... yes this anime is indeed hidden gem, you might get lured in thanks to ecchi tag, but this anime isnt good cause of its ecchi scenes, but cause of vibes it gives, I watched this while back, and we really need second season.
You might ask: why the hell did you give 10/10 to this old anime? Art in demon slayer is much better, but you gave this 10... SO I will stop you there, look how old this anime is, and than talk!
whats the point of reading this review, if you are thinking about watching it... watch it
...
right now! You wont regret even second. To make this review longer, I prepared some final words: You will never know how good this anime is.. if you never watch it!
