Overall the show doesn't leave me with a feeling of anything after finishing it. The main heroine is a cute, bubbly character with a moral compass that works overtime. When the children are introduce she immediately imprints on them and takes it upon her self to take care of them. I found this kind of boring and then we get into the character sniping and the whole show becomes got to save the kids. It also made zero since why the boy had access to so much high tech equipment when he was being sent his death essentially.

There is so much to unpack with the overall story of Clannad. First I would like to say that this show captures how cruel life can be and it was hard to get through. The love that was shown between nagisa and tomoya was something I really enjoyed. I didn't like tomoyas father to the bitter end. He was just so zombified that even when tomoya forgave him he didn't shed a tear. I also appreciated the alternate endings in this show because if we were left just with tomoya and ushio left in the snow I would of lost it. Its hard
