Corny. That word is the best way to describe this absolute abomination of a show. When you combine all the corny arcs of Gintama, remove the relatable characters and make them just there to be "funny", you get Grand Blue. For 12 episodes, I maybe only laughed once or twice but that is about it. The way they exaggerate things is what pisses me off the most here. It is just so poorly executed.
All in all. Story is non-existent and characters are straight-up trash. 1/10 maybe 0 if I can. Art is pretty decent and the opening is pretty good. I forgot about
...
the ed song though but still story and characters are what matters the most.

Ugh. I am gonna say it now. This show is an overrated piece of garbage that had the potential to be not.
The story starts with Kamado family bonding then fast forward, they are killed by a demon and while they are killed the MC, Tanjiro was away. When he got back, he was shocked. Nezuko, the only survivor of the attack, was on the verge on dying then she became a demon. Giyu arrives at the scene to kill the demon, which is Nezuko, so he and Tanjiro fought a bit but in the end, because this garbage is so unoriginal, Giyu spares Nezuko for
...
no logical reason. After that, Tanjiro then made a resolve. REVENGE!!(Ugh. Cringe level over 9000). Then *drum roll* DEMON SLAYER!!! Wow! What a terrible premise but the fans said "iT gEtS bEtTeR fRoM hErE" so I pushed through.
First, we enter a generic training arc that only has animation (the blinded A LOT of people) as its redeeming factor. There is a part here that show how poor the storytelling of the show is. We see Tanjiro training with Sabito and Makomo. Shing shing sword fight then at the end, Tanjiro and Sabito had a clichè final sword slash. Tanjiro appeared to cut the mask of Sabito but then few shots later the stone the he cannot cut at the earlier part of the arc was cut in half. It was revealed then that Sabito and Makomo are actually dead. So my question is all this time was the rock moving and having a sword fight with Tanjiro? Such a poorly written and told fight.
Then it was revealed that Nezuko was sleeping all the time and apparently sleeping makes up for hunger. Ugh. Fucking wasted potential development. Instead of giving Nezuko internal struggles of suppressing hunger and developing her from there, we get this lazy ass writing that Sakonji used an off screen hypnosis so that Nezuko won't eat humans. Clap, clap, clap.
Development: Am I a joke to you?
We could have been shown clips of Nezuko eating animals to supress her hunger and at some point make a conflict between her and Tanjiro but no the author is lazy af. This could've made her an interesting and compelling character but now she is just a cardboard of an character that is mostly used for cringe ass fanservice. nEzUkO kAwAiI.
Then after the training arc, we go to the final selection. There we had the first villain, the green-giant-slime guy. Typical. Tanjiro was struggling at first then at the end he wins despite not being strong enough and what is worse is that the ones with Tanjiro also undergo almost the same or exactly the same amount of training as him. Nonsensical power scaling. But there is a larger problem here. While training, Tanjiro is shown to only use normal sword attacks but during the fight suddenly he can use Water Breathing attacks that are NOT shown during the training. Sure he was also practicing his actual breathing but how does it become a Water Breathing attack was never shown. So in other words, the techniques he use (from Breathing 1-10) are like asspulls. This show uses the training arc in the worst way possible.
After that we had a few missions of Tanjiro and Nezuko fighting demons. After all those fights, the show tries to make you feel sad for the demons but the execution (at least to me) is so bad , especially with the drums demon. I jUsT wAnT sOmEoNe tO hEaR mE!!!, that instead of making me sad, it makes me laugh and cringe at the same time. Their flashbacks are to edgy for me. Like please, give your villains variety. Have a demon that is just a villain till the end. Don't make them all people with sad past. It gets tiring fast.
Episode 19 is trash. Its writing is Fairy Tail writing. "Hinokami Kagura" is one of the biggest asspulls of the year. Water user becoming able to use Fire (without training) in the verge of being killed is one of the worst moments of 2019. After Tanjiro "beheading" Rui, the author tries to make his failure weigh lighter so he made a Diabolus Ex Machina for Rui. He actually beheaded himself before Tanjiro can cut him so that it won't look like Fairy Tail. Wow so forced. Author-san if you think you got out of the shithole, NO! It just shows how poorly written this show is. Nezuko using Demon Arts despite sleeping 80% of the time and also without training is also an offender.
I almost forgot the two horrendous main characters, Inosuke and Zenitsu. Two characters with little to no development and are just there for "comedic" relief but they are pure annoyances. Inosuke was just too bland for me to care so....meh but Zenitsu......He is easily one of the worst characters in 2019. His character is to be annoying. Shouting here, fainting there. Funny? HELL NO!! His power is pure Deus Ex Machina and is not ashamed to hide it.
We have better revenge stories out there like Vinland Saga, which is now my gold standard for revenge stories. The author knows what he wants to do. He makes Thorfinn look pathetic because he wants to get his message across to the viewers. Revenge is stupid and a waste of time. By Episode 22 of VS, this message was sent across perfectly. That scream from Thorfinn realizing he wasted years of his life for revenge was well done. Back to Kimestu no Yaiba, revenge here is taken in such a shallow way. Revenge is just an excuse for Tanjiro's fight with demons to have "weight" but it has little to none, at least to me.
Like every 10/10 anime has flaws, a 1/10 anime also has positives. Kimetsu no Yaiba is no exception. The last episode (Muzan killing the lower moons) was actually pretty solid. That's it. Omegalul. Bye. Peace. Signing Out.
Anything not mentioned, is either a clichè moment that didn't really piss me off or a forgettable moment.
Wait. What the fuck is the purpose of making Muzan look gay?

(NOT SO SPOILER FREE BUT WHO CARES? IT'S GARBAGE)
Fire Force. The concept from the start to me was interesting because it's stupid. Fight fire with fire. It looked like a shitshow I could enjoy and I was right but Episode 19 made me reach my limit and ultimately gave this show a 1/10.
Fanservice, a part of anime that is avoidable yet inevitable because "eCcHi iS lIfE!!!!". This show uses it in the worst way possible. There are times in this show where there is a serious battle/dialogue ongoing then suddenly, unexpectedly, abruptly, and all other words related to it, a fanservice scene appear. It
...
is beyond stupid. It ruins the tension and the vibe all together. Do you know the feeling when you are about to sneeze then suddenly it gets interrupted and you can't sneeze anymore? That is how it feels. Back to Episode 19, the moment that made me reach my limit is during the Tamaki and Assault fight. Assault lost because it is his first time touching boobs and got distracted. A supposed to be professional fighter lost like that. WOW! R.I.P Tension, Logic, and Good Writing. At the first place those villains have no proper build up at all so it had no build up if that character is actually a pervert or just got caught up in the moment. Someone said "iT iS sUpPoSeD tO bE fUnNy!!!". It is not funny. It is an illogical and nonsensical BS. Lastly during the earlier episodes, the part when Hibana pulled a 180 (from hating Shinra to loving Shinra) was so cringy and become a dragged out fanservice relationship that makes me eyeroll everytime it appears on screen.
Back to the story, it is pretty generic and predictable. Typical "I want to be the best" or "I want to save someone" cliche storyline that almost everyone is tired with. They could save it by good execution but no, it is executed in the most generic way possible. The moment Sho got introduced as a villain, it is obvious that he would team up with the good side in the most cliche way possible (Only at Ep.19, but I am calling it). The villains so far are bland cardboards. "We want to give everything back to the Sun" is one of the worst motives I have ever seen in anime.
I have mumbled enough flaws but despite being a 1/10 anime, it also has positives. The start of the Benimaru arc was pretty solid (but it turned into a generic training arc and got ruined by the hot garbage ending). Joker is actually an interesting character, probably the only one in the series.

Tenki no Ko or Weathering with You. A movie I was overhyped too much. A type of movie/anime that put all the effort on animation and none on the story. I am so glad I didn't watch it on cinema and waited for an online link. At least I didn't waste any money.
The first problem I had with this movie is that the supernatural and romantic concept of it does not blend. In Kimi no Nawa (made by the same author) even though the time travel, body switch shenanigans does not really make sense at least it blends in with the romance. The "marker"
...
scene still hit me. In Tenki no Ko. NOPE! The build up between Hodaka and Hina was so weak and rushed that every "romance" scene in the movie was pure cringe. Hina doesn't even look in loved with Hodaka and Hodaka's feelings feel so forced. The sunshine girl parts should be the build up to that romance but it feels so disconnected to it. We also had this "cop and robbers" parts which to me is just a distraction and just plain unnecessary. It just gives the movie identity crisis.
Second problem is Hodaka. He is probably one of the worst MCs ever. Damn. That scene is where he saved Hina from the "upper world" (idk really) because she sacrificed herself to prevent the heavy rains. Guess what Hodaka does. He basically says "I don't care about Tokyo, you are more than enough." If I were to ask you a question, what would you pick? Save Tokyo from nonstop heavy rains that could result to it being submerged underwater or save ONE girl. Most people who choose the greater good (Save Tokyo) but this movie is so poorly written that they would choose the latter. "Fuck you all, my bitch is what is important"- Hodaka 2019. His build up with Hina was so weak and rushed making this scene more eyerolling. Also his motivation for leaving his province, his family is.............to follow the sun. A cliche dream is way better than that shit. Bruh I am done.
Third problem is that lack of character development. The "character" that had the most development is the cat named Rain/Ame. Hodaka, Hina, and others didn't freaking develop making this cast one of the most forgettable ever.
All in all, Tenki no Ko is one of the worst anime movies of all time. It is more lifeless than Fireworks/Uchiage Hanabi. At least that movie had life during the first 30 minutes. This movie is just dead from the start.

The idea of mixing the concepts of time travel and high school life is quite unique and interesting but in here, Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei, it fails at both. The first problem I had with the show is that the time travel paradox has no explanation. At the end of every episode, it just goes back in time with zero explanation. The show also has no development whatsoever or a goal to make me immersed. 3-Gatsu no Lion, an anime that is a Slice of Life, became one of my favorite anime because of its top-notch development and every character had a goal but in here
...
it is just a bunch of random episodes without substance. How am I supposed to be attracted or interested to the characters if the show doesn't give them......character. The characters are actually interesting but the show stopped at that and they lost that status. The show also tries to be fun but it fails so hard. Ozu is the main example but instead of being fun it becomes painfully annoying and even cringey sometimes.
This show is so lifeless for a Slice of Life anime. I didn't want to do it but it deserves it. A 1/10. Feel free to enlighten me on why the show is actually good. Just don't be toxic.

JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 3: Stardust Crusaders is one of the worst anime that has been made (in my opinion) for two main reasons, it is super repetitive and overhyped. For the repetitive part, I usually don't mind if an anime is repetitive by ARC because at least they add something new. One example is Alabasta Arc and Dressrosa Arc from One Piece. Both have the same formula of story but they have aspects that are unique to each other but here in Trash-I mean JoJo it is repetitive by EPISODE. They will encounter a Stand user that came out of nowhere, without
...
proper build up. The main characters will fight them for 24 minutes, defeat them and that's it and the show does not even make it interesting. It's on par with ecchi/romance anime in terms of cringeness.
Naruto or Bleach fillers are more well written than this. Hametsu no Mars is way more entertaining than this. A generic isekai is way more refreshing than this. The only reason to watch this anime is for the memes. Other than that it is an utter waste of precious time.

Summer 2019 has dropped a lot of garbage isekai anime. This is one of them. Maou-sama, Retry! is your typical harem, ecchi garbage that has zero originality and inspiration. It is just pure cringefest with subpar animation. The character interactions are pure fanservice. It is basically 11 episodes (on the time of this review) of girls clinging to MC because...he is the MC. Godawful, uninspired writing. The story is basically non-existent. It could work sometimes that an anime has no story but in here, it doesn't. The show doesn't even have a goal. To "develop" the harem maybe but is that acceptable for me, a
...
person with standards,? NO, NEVER. F*CK THIS SHOW.
Solid 1/10. Just watch for the laughs.

Nanatsu no Taizai has been an anime that despite being a typical shounen has little to no complaints (that's what I am seeing) so I expected it to be at least decent. Oh boy, even Fairy Tail is better.
Story: 2/10
A typical shounen anime overloaded with pointless fanservice. The anime started with finding the remaining members of the sins then a random fight festival which were both a pain to watch because its too generic. Then we have the next arc dedicated to finding Gowther which is kinda ok. The only decent part of the show. After that the absolute shitshow of a finale start. A
...
generic villain fighting against a set of overpowered bums. This said villain has too little build up for me to sympathize to him and his half-assed motives. Is it entertaining to watch? Never, not a second. One of the most boring finales ever.
Characters: 2/10
Their interactions are what ruined this show. Cringe dialogue every time someone talks then pointless fanservice then boom that's one scene. The amnesia subplot of Diane is also annoying and pointless. This one-dimensional, carboard cut out characters are all just there for fanservice.
Enjoyment: 2/10
One of the most cringiest anime to ever exist. There are point of cringiness in this anime that even Fairy Tail has not yet reached. Eww.

Dont let nostalgia blind you. This series poorly written, has a lot of plotholes and inconsistencies. It also uses overused cliches making it so predictable. I know it started the formula for the shounen genre but still, that does not make it good.
Every story arc in this anime has almost the same storyline. Weird villain gets introduced- Beats MCs- Leaves them to "die" - Training Arc - MCs meet Villain again - MCs beat Villains. One Piece also uses that formula (even though they use this formula they still execute it well) but NOT ALL THE TIME. It at least has a "hype"
...
arc (Sabaody, Reverie), a "fight for survival" arc (Whole Cake Island), a war arc (Marineford) and a retrieval arc (Water 7). In Dragon Ball, all are just formulaic arcs. Generic and poorly executed.
One reason why Naruto: Shippuden gets hate is because they only develop two characters, Naruto and Sasuke. The rest just gets minimal to no development at all. The same could be said with DBZ. Yamcha, Tenshinhan, Krillin and other side characters are just one-dimensional fodders meant to be saved by Goku. They get little to no development. Only Piccolo, Vegeta and Goku gets proper development. Like the side characters, villains are also one-dimensional. They are just bad for the sake of being bad.
The fights, the possible saving grace, are not really that good. Like the story, its predictable and it just makes me not care anymore. The choreography is not really that enjoyable as some say. It also lack tactics, which is what I want in a fight. Just beams everywhere.
Overall I have no problem with people liking this anime but considering it the best is a different story. Its still better than Fairy Fail though.

Since it is a split cour, time to make a review. I really looked forward for this season of Shingeki no Kyojin. In the trailer, they showed us that Levi is the main focus of this arc. Then on Ep.1, they introduced us (with the best way possible) to Kenny, the "main villain" of this arc/season and the one who took care of Levi when he was a kid. The first 2 eps delivered the hype. At that point my rating is a 7/10. They showed what I came for. A Levi centered arc.
Then the next few episodes the focus was shifting away from
...
Levi and instead shifting to Historia and the Reiss Clan. They are simply uninteresting and they bore the hell out of me. At that point I was already losing my hype. Then the rest of the season focuses on them and Kenny just dies because he got caught from a blast which is pretty anti-climatic IMHO. I wanted a Levi centered arc not this since that is what they hyped. The first 2 eps are really amazing but as the episodes pass by, the quality decreases. Rod Reiss was just a mediocre villain. Just plain uninteresting. The lack of exposure between the relationship of Levi and Kenny just disappointed me.
This season also has the least sense of danger on all 3 seasons. On the first 2 seasons, I can feel that anyone could die at some point. On this season, no. I know everyone was going to survive at the end like a typical shounen anime.
For the positives, I like the flashback abour Eren's dad (Ep.11), the first 2 eps (I know I am spamming this but they are really awesome) and Erwin's part on the season.
Overall a 3/10. Potential wasted.
