That may have been the most random show I've ever watched in my life. The comedy comes from how wacky situations can get. This reminds me of "Courage the Cowardly Dog" with how random each episode is and how Courage pulls the most random objects out of nowhere. The same is true here. Our protagonists, Koshitan and Nokotan, have great interactions with each other due to Nokotan revealing the most random things. Whatever you think will happen next is most likely not gonna happen with the randomness of the show.

Slow Start hits very close to home for me and I don't know why. The fact that Hana is scared of losing friends due to unforeseeable occurrences. And then finding some new friends and yet still dreading losing the friends she used to have. She's a year behind in school.
