Idk why this anime got sohyped up back in the day. I watched it when i was about 13 and had the brain of a fucking hamster apparently since i remember enjoying it.
There's. so much wrong with this series, the art and the lesbian character were literally the only redeeming qualities.
First of all, what do we have here? Number one, pretty bad fatphobia. The mc is overweight at the beginning of the story, and no one gives a shit about her. The moment she STARVES herself to the point of becoming thin, everyone's head over heels for her.

Here's a criminally underrated manga by a great author.
Urakata!! is a very unique slice of life manga by the same author as the iconic Host Club. Despite this, it barely got any attention, to the point that right now, finding the last volume i need to complete the series is pretty hard. I've never met a single person who read this except from my sibling, who borrowed it from me, and it's such a shame. The art is really good, very shoujo-esque with the use of light, sparkles, flowers etc, almost like a more polished version of the artstyle in Host Club. The characters are lovable and sometimes deep, ...

A very short read, but by no means a bad one. This manga is simple and light hearted, and the yuri elements are so, so cute. Turns out everyone.s a lesbian, and i absolutely love that, being one myself lol. There's little plot, and the last few chapters feel a little out of place after the main plotline, aka the main character looking for her missing sister, ends. The final part of the manga focuses on finding a gf for the only girl in the main cast who was still single, and the end felt a little abrupt.
