Well - Tokyo Ghoul is a completely different genre (not an ecchi!) however, hear me out: Similarities: They both start with gore. The protagonist is a normal kid, he's hopeless with girls, he gets a date with a girl who's out of his league (as his friend says), (won't include the spoilers) but, things happen on that date that change the protagonist's life. Dissimilarities: The difference in genre - Tokyo Ghoul is more intense and does not have fan service like DxD. The music style is more atmospheric in Tokyo Ghoul and supports the chilling feel, whilst DxD maintains a light-hearted tone. Tokyo Ghoul censors quite a few of the gore excessive scenes and contains a darker atmosphere.

Similarities: - Ecchis, the girls have an exaggerated breast size and there are a lot of excessive fan service influenced scenes. - Both academy's specialise in fighting with weapons (Maken and Volt Weapon) - The male protagonist just wants to protect those around him. - The male protagonist is also the centre of attention by girls. - Both contain comedy, ecchi and action. - Both contain supernatural advancements of technology. Dissimilarities: - The protagonist in Freezing is stronger and also has a more dramatic life. - Freezing's plot is more plot orientated but it is still held back by the fan service. - The students in Freezing work as a collective to take down the enemies (Novas) from an alternate dimension.
