Great humour which, unfortunately, is brought only to the chosen ones, who have watched either Lucky Star, or Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Both shows take place mainly in the school grounds and have many similarities in the use of jokes. Also, the characters in both anime are strange and are not the typical ones you can expect from the average school related series. While Konata in Lucky Star is presented as a hardcore otaku with questionable morals, Itoshiki Nozomu from Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei has somehow weird understanding of very much ordinary things. Well, one's for sure - you won't get bored while watching either os these series!

There are beautiful girls all around! And no wonder - the all-girls academies are paradise for your heart! But to be a transfer student is not so easy. You have to get to know everything and everyone. That's what happens in both Strawberry Panic and Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru. The both series are considered shoujo-ai (although I don't quite agree), so the fans of the genre might be in ecstasies! Another thing in common is that the main characters have someone close with whom they can share all their worries and insecurities. There are many difficulties to overcome, but finally both Nagisa and Mizuho find their place despite all of the previous misunderstandings and confusion.

There is always hilarious events coming along with cross-dressing, especially when boys cross-dress! In both series there are these handsome boys, who are forced to cross-dress either because of the long traditions of the school, or because of their grandfather's will. In either way, there are deffinitely hilarious moment and unexpected situations - for one thing, how come Mizuho doesn't like being in an all-girls school when he's a boy? Despite all the similarities, while Kouno and Yuujiro from Princess Princess want to escape from being mistaken for girls, Mizuho from Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru absolutely doesn't want to be discovered, afraid of the consequences. Well then, have fun watching! =]

The path to find yourslef is always a lot nearer than you have imagined. To seek for the person you love, and yet, not torealise that this person is right beside you. That is the main story line in both Yotsunoha and True Tears in which the lead male characters want to prove themselves. They often can't express their thought clearly, causing confusion and sometimes arguments between the female characters. But in the end everything is set and the boys find their happiness.

The both series are filled with the worries and insecurity of the uke characters. Whether they are really loved or are just being played with is the main and most important question. The answer is easy to tell and after quite alot of hardships the ending is clear. In both Junjo Romantica and Papa to Kiss in the Dark the characters (no matter what happens) always end up together, so it's the same old happy ending. But I guess it's better off this way!

Even though both anime show completely different plot lines, there are still a few similarities. Spirits like Pete from Ginban Kaleidoscope and Chizuru from Kanokon are able to light up your everyday life simply with their presence. The one is striving and ready to help. The other is a little horny. But the both of them are kind-hearted and loving. They will do anything it takes just to make their most important people happy. And that's not all there is to see - there are many shared feelings and secrets that tie together Sakurano and Pete (Ginban Kaleidoscope) and Chizuru and Kouta (Kanokon). Just watch and see for yourself!

Romance is everywhere, not only in fiction; it doesn't exist only in another, imaginary world. The grey everyday life is always waiting for love to paint it colorful. As we have all heard of the tragic love of Shakespear's Romeo and Juliet, we maybe have wished to find that special someone who is destined to bring us happiness. The anime adaptation Romeo x Juliet is as exciting as the original play, but there is much more magic and mystery in its own cute way. The stories of gentleness, love and passion are not always supposed to be seen on stage. They are everywhere around us; proof for that is one of the most romantic animes ever - ef - a tale of memories. The most valuable thing shown in it is that love is not just a distant feeling but is much closer to our hearts than we think it is.

While seeing all these supernatural abilities, we somehow want to become closer to that kind of world. In Kaze no Stigma is exposed only the one side of it - the direct use of magic without a thought about how it was gained and how it is supposed to be used. But there is Rental Magica that not only focus on the supernatural, on the magic itself, but on explaining the things we don't know about it - how it is related to martial arts, what are the different kinds of magic (e.g. Celtic, Shinto, Solomon) that come from different places on Earth. So if you are fascinated by Kaze no Stigma, you'll just need to learn more about magic with Rental Magica!

Devil May Cry

The good guys defeat the bad ones and there's your typical happy end. But in these stories it's not so typical. Dante from Devil May Cry is a demon hunter who on top of that is a son of the demon Sparda. Abel from Trinity Blood is an absend-minded priest who in reality is Crusnik - a vampire that hunts other vampires and feeds on them. Well, they're not your everyday fellows, don't you think? Despite these facts, both are the caring type and both have problems with money. Another critical for the story-line fact is that the world depends on them, otherwise it won't be even a place you could call home.

At a general level people don't really believe in them, but sometimes they need to. So if, you are a part of those unbelievers who are in need to learn more about the other side of the world - the unseen and unknown side, you may be more than interested to do it while watching either Ghost Hunt, or xxxHolic. Both series provide much valuable and interesting information (personally, I leart alot just from watching!)

Even if takes your life, you will never give up, you will never back down, you will never let down the ones who believe in you. You will keep going forward! You will fight for the world, for your friends and even for those you haven't met and probably never would. You belive that's the right thing to do and it really is! Both Busou Renkin and Bleach are created on that same theme. The main characters - Mutou Kazuki and Kurosaki Ichigo, are first thinking about others and then about themselves. But is it an advantage to be so selfless, to care more about the world that about yourself? Who knows? But if you, too, think that the world we live in is worth saving, you must watch these two anime!

Intensive gun-fights, shitty business, confusion. There is much more in common between Black Lagoon and El Cazarod de la Bruja than you can see at first sight! Both anime are much more enjoyable than you may think, especially if you don't like this particular genre. But don't turn your back! Some (already banal) themes are proposed in them. These include friednship, overcoming hardships. There are also similarities between the main characters - Rock (Black Lagoon) and Elis (El Cazador de la Bruja), but these are the similarities between the circumstances they are in that tie them together. Both Rock and Elis find their companions during experiencing hardships and in time when they most need help. After that they both enter a world they don't even expect to find.

But you need to do your best so the ones you care about may not be hurt. The lead male characters in both Black Blood Brothers and Trinity Blood - Jirou and Abel, are the kind of guys who after deciding on something, do everything in their power just to see it realized. They are both tough and hard to deal with when it comes to arguing, but deep inside they are soft and caring. Also, they can be considered defenders of justice and peace. The thing that's the most interesting is whether Toki will stay like Saito or will leave if he has the opportunity at the end of the series?
