Psycho Pass is not an anime you see everyday; in fact this is an anime that has prompt me to pick up and read 1984 because of it's deranged society. The society in Psycho pass is no where as a Utopian place as you might thing. The Sybil System is a system striving to better society by making use of regulating people's esteem issues. Like for instance if a person gets too excited or becomes vastly angry or stressed- in a moment these emotions can practically destroy them and we use "psycho pass" as another way of conveying this. As I've said earlier even if
...
the Sibyl System strives for a perfect Utopian society; ones that brings people together. It can not take away the fact that people who loath the government will try to pry out it's dark secrets. Take Makishima,Shougo for instance, someone that through the creation of the Sybil System has grown to feel despair that others aren't as panicky as he is about the situation. With fascinating characters, a story that packs pull of punches, and great music to listen to, it's no doubt that Psycho Pass won't be in everyone's top list of animes to watch. -- This review is not meant to be a spoilers but a sort of summary.. and yes, my favorite character would have to be Gino-san.

Quick Review. Okay! Shingeki no Kyojin is about a teenage boy named Eren who vow to kill every last titan, due to his mother's traumatic death which leads him and his two friends- Mikasa and Armin to join the survey corps (a unit that deals with the extermination of titans. Story-wise SNK nails it on the mark and really drills you with the fact that the world is no longer nice but is merciful-less. My brain tells me that the art in SNK is not only beautiful in scenery, but also shows depth in making each character look different; by different this ensures that we
...
know who is who. While I understand the hype SNK receives it manages to entrance me with it's Opening and Ending- my personal favorite is Feuerroter Pfeil und Bogen- by Linked Horizon. Let's start off by saying that while Eren is a shounen protagonist he pretty much exceeded in a higher category than others. This pretty much with his morals set strong and it helps him reach his goals, while with Mikasa I probably sympathize with too and Armin helped strategically in battles and controlled his emotions well. Turning out to be pretty long review, but bear with me I just want to express SNK's brilliance by compiling all that I can. Now I can stop- that is I won't get too much into the negative because there's very few of it in SNK + The anime is well adapted from the manga. Yelling cause I need season 2. AHHH IT'S THE COLOSSAL TITAN EVERYBODY!!!

How do you talk about an anime that leaves you mixed feelings,? Well here's my review of Angel Beats.
Story: The story started off good with a complex theme on death and possible resurrection. The main premise of the story is that a young man named Otonashi awakens to find himself dead and in the "afterlife", what goes on from there is him joining a unit to wipe out an angel who's unkillable. For the most part the story is kept interesting given by the character's backstories, but I find that as the show continued on many characters either felt very one dimensional or just
...
borderline NPCs.
Art: The art gets me by each episode. The stunning use of animation gives the character more life than death in an afterlife surrounding. Especially since the show takes place in a school and is the "only," place we see most of the time, the art is of a good use to the eye- i.e. when a character would sing or talk most of the time it was surprisingly eye-catching. Enough about the visuals and onto the music.
Sound: Great, great, great, great.... Okay sorry about my overuse of adjective. One thing I enjoy more than anything is great music in anime, well of course the story must be as well but... you get my point. The music in Angel Beats is a satisfaction that i get overtime I watch each episode. Normally I wouldn't judge an anime over what music they play, but with Angel Beats its especially soothing to hear. I wouldn't judge any of you guys for just sticking around to just hear the music- plus op and ed themes are amazing.
Character: Too much characters is a re-acurring problem in animes nowadays. Angel Beats meanwhile knows when to use it's important characters as focal points to moving the plot. We have the confused but willing to cooperate- Otonashi, fearless and scary-Yuki, OP at max- Angel, and last but not lease is Hinata who..., well he is too awesome to describe without spoiling. Now the negativities... ah, I hate this part. It's bad enough the show started off good but leaves the rest feeling like a bad storm happened. Okay, Otonashi might be the reason it turned ugly quick because of the choices he made. Feel free to disagree but I think the ending just happened so that we develop some type of potential romance... it felt mushy and failed to be anything special. THAT ENDING RUINED ME!!!!
Enjoyment: My enjoyment overall of Angel Beats was pretty high. From the nice story to the music it was presented well, but one thing that stopped it from being enjoyable was the characters... besides that I find myself wanting to re-watch this series just to see more of Iwasawa's singing- beautiful.. just beautiful.
Overall: Giving a score of a 7 I think Angel Beats has potential to being a memorable watch as I always like it's theme and message of life. If it weren't for Otonashi I probably wouldn't watch it, but it was also his development that falters in the end. The rating would've been higher had the anime been longer and gave time for a slow but build up romance between Otonashi and Angel.

Ah right! Soon as I finished this Boku Dake I knew I had to write a review.
Story: It wasn't the first time I've seen a time travel series or animation. Prior to a time travel series I've already seen The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, but Boku Dake the anime was something new. Satrou is our main character and it just so happens he has a power called "revival", and this in turns lets him save lives by going back between 1 and 5 minutes. So the meat of the story comes in when Satoru is confronted with the murder of his mom and
...
the past of Hinazuki, Kayo- a mysterious girl from his past.
Art: It was done fairly well so to say. The art is in Boku Dake is very refreshing and provides a new structure in usual japanese animation. One particular thing that stood out in Boku Dake is how it uses a specific color to describe the feeling of death. "Red" is almost always apparent and appears on all characters suspect of being a fugitive in the murder. The art also brings along a sort of nostalgic art or feel when we see Satoru recollect image of his past like a puzzle. Well done!!
Sound: Please listen to the opening... even if you don't like music the director has a way of making it work, as well as background music- to the ed of each episode making dread the sadness of Hinazuki's death. Complements to the music creators and their influence in making Boku Dake even more entrancing.
Character: The characters for me were unique and presented at a nice pace. I felt Satoru had a nice character development, as he came from a character who didn't thing that being a "hero", was possible as long as it was him. The story's quite beautiful and the characters that with it. On another positive note I also really really like Airi's character as she's no so much a character but a real person. Airi may not be a main character but I would love to see an OVA with her as a main character. Yeah I'm bias on that because we have Kayo fans as well.
Enjoyment: It'll be on my top favorite animes to watch that's for sure. From the story telling to the music and animation Boku Dake never fails to exceed my expectation. Even if there were times where I wanted not to cringe because of how cheesy a moment feels it's something special with each episode. This anime not only lets you relive your best moments or your I-don't-want-to-remember-moment with Satoru- expect in this case he gets a chance to change.
Overall: Judging by the ending of the anime Winter season, I'll have to find something new to look foward to. I'll only say this and that's get started on this anime RIGHT NOW!!!! Like I'm seriously sad if you won't check it out. Watch for one thing- that is the characters.... if Satoru is a real person I'd give him a hug for his bravery and kindness right now.

Story: Tsuritama is a coming of age story about a boy name Yuki who moves to Enoshima with his grandmother and why you ask does this have anything to do with FISHING? Well, a lot actually. Through his time in this small town he not only learns to make friends but develop into a "hero." Yes I said hero, because our main character Yuki somehow wound up saving the plant.
Art: The art by far is quite interesting, and you can see this through the opening and the show during regular times. Nothing much to say in this department, so compliments to the design team. For
...
the most part the art is well done with the use of bright colors emitting the surrounding and characters. One specific character... and that's Haru enthralled me especially with his outfits.
Sound: Now this is what makes Tsuritama almost perfect... its music. With no negativity whatsoever the music is done well in that it does not fail to capture the feeling of hanging out on an island- if you get what I mean. Truth is, I've never been to enoshima nor have I ever went fishing, but the surrounding plus the music makes it all feel fresh and not boring... a good way pass time REALLY!
Character: Yuki *Claps *Claps Sorry, its just so beautiful to see a character like Yuki grow almost like how beautiful it is seeing a plant sprout and grow into a beautiful flower. Weird metaphor but I wouldn't put it any other way. Yuki hands down might be my favorite character... that's probably enough to see the show, but I'll bring in another character. Haru, ah Haru is the perfect foil to the extremely quite Yuki in that he talks a lot for a guy and speaks his mind. If you could have two people who could read each other's mind I think it'll be Yuki and Haru; one is so dependent of the other. I didn't mention but the other characters also main characters as well are awesome.
Enjoyment: I gotta say that Tsuritama is an anime I always look to for good character development and world building. It's not great that the anime takes place in a rural town but this (Enoshima) is where the country kids are given a more broad look at... things like phones, computers, shopping malls aren't apparent on the countryside so they take fun in fishing! I love it. The theme is so real and inspiring, like I really want to go fishing now... thanks Tsuritama.
Overall: Maybe try the anime out and see how it goes? One thing you won't miss for sure is the life that Tsuritama brings to both it's character and surrounding city of Enoshima. I desperately hope for a second season, but for now let's just dream. My impression of Tsuritama was that it was very good- not gonna lie I was clapping at Yuki's development in the end and smiling... yeah so that might make some intrigue. Peace out!

Story: Tokyo Ghoul is about high school student Kaneki Ken who finds himself a half-ghoul one day. The story is simple without me spoiling too much... and yet it's one of those rare and complex anime that you won't encounter everyday. Story is a strong point, and how Kaneki-our main protagonist struggle in eating, keeping a friend, and living will literally eat you up. NO PUN INTENDED.
Art: No critiques here. Pierrot knows how to capture an anguish and broken expression of a character without making us cringe too much(I like my horror to be relatable) and instead shows in depth emotion. The only time
...
the animation would falter would be when a character appear kinda awkward in the background and man is it DOPE!! Haha.. my excuse but when you notice it, it doesn't really matter and makes for a rather good laugh. SERIOUSLY, IT'S UNNOTICEABLE.
Sound: Here is where we arrive at my favorite spot. Music.. ah, music fills my ears with happiness or in this case it's the opening of Tokyo Ghoul. Unravel is by far maybe the most catchiest song you'll ever hear and you can disagree..(please don't) but have at it. I also enjoy the ending sequence.. while squealing at the art- I didn't explain but the art at the ed is pure awesomeness.
Character: It's a bit of a hit and miss with some of the characters. While the story started off with a generic character getting into a unexpected situation, it dives off from the norm and makes us insane with the characters. Kaneki-book worm kid, Touka-tsundere at any cost, Tsukiyama- Man who sniffs-things-too-much-for-his-own-good, and finally hide- the always supportive but lonesome friend who more or less should appear more but doesn't. There are more but I wouldn't want to bore you so let's get on. I should also say these are the characters that also lack in the development area... just letting you know.
Enjoyment: Tokyo Ghoul let me just say isn't just great it's awesome and for what it sought out to do, it did right. If I had to say what appears to be bad, it's going to be the character development.. like I said before, some of the characters are a hit-and-miss to viewers and going into a twelve episode anime covering about 70 chapters isn't easy, and perhaps the censoring, so maybe now's a good time to look up the characters before watching. Hehe.. nervous laugh.
Overall: I rated Tokyo Ghoul a nine, which is pretty high and as high as I'll go...(sassy, but right) anyway, with Tokyo Ghoul it's easily a watchable anime despite the gore, and let's say that everything was censored so you're gonna have an easy time watching. My opinion with the anime adaption is pretty high, but I would like to see a better adaption true to the manga oneday. That's all I have time for today and I'll leave some suggestion as to what you might want to try.
