Story 5/10: The story seemed interesting since I heard it's the Roman version of Baki. I can kinda see where people make the correlation, but it's not nearly as interesting as or exciting as Baki. We follow a boy named Cestvs who's a slave boxer during the rise of the Roman Empire and all he wants is to be free. He has a master he runs around with named Zafar, Zafar is also like a bit of a father figure to ... Cestvs.


Art 6/10: I like the art, but I'll admit it can be boring in some panels. It's similar to Kentaro Miura's style since he and the creator of Cestvs, Shizuya Wazarai, were friends.


Characters 4/10: I'll say this...these are very boring characters. Cestvs is just an okay MC, he fights and trains, that's it, he's just a watered-down version of Ippo. Zafar is sorta like a watered-down version of Cheif Kamogawa, Roxane is hot but boring, and Nero having a mental breakdown and becoming more of an ass is cool but not enough. The only too characters I liked a bit were Ruska and Demitorious, the father and son. This is where the Baki correlation comes, I mostly prefer Demitorious because he's like a mix of Roah and Yujiro.


Enjoyment 5/10: I was hyped in the first few chapters, but after that I was bored. Too much drama for a martial arts/action manga, even with the fights happening they were way too short and unentertaining. There should've been more blood in it too.


Cestvs could have been so much better, but it is what it is. If you love Roman history, I'd say give Cestvs a shot. If you expect this to be like Baki, you'll be disappointed. If you need more manga like Baki then check out the Tough series. Iron Kiba solos the Cestvs verse lmao.


For Fans Of Roman history, Caligula, and Hajime No Ippo

TL/DR: Saruwatari creates his version of the Rambo series but with comedy and other weird shit.


Story 6/10: The story follows a former green beret (does that sound familiar?) named John Kyosuke Hiba, who was kicked off the berties for his reckless behavior and antics. One day a man named Takechi and Fudo are in search of Hiba so he can help the JCIA with a mission. John refuses at first wanting to be alone, but is forced to do so. It starts episodic so each chapter has the same format, but it gets a bit crazier after every chapter.

Art 8/10: I love Saruwatari's art. There's ... a reason why Koukou Tekkenden: Tough is my second favorite manga of all-time. His art to me is as if you took Tetsou Hara's art and made it simpler (not in a bad way). There are cool panels filled with gore, action, and comedy that are fun for the whole family.

Characters 5/10: Don't expect the deepest characters in this manga. John Kyosuke Hiba is Rambo if he was an idiot and trying to be a comedian. Masami Fudo is a karate master and former member of the Japanese special forces with a wimpy personality. Finally, there's Takechi a member of the JCIA who has John do the government's dirty work and is like a more snarky version of Murdock from First Blood Part 2.

Enjoyment 7/10: Dog Soldier is a pretty entertaining manga. Like I said in the Characters section, don't expect anything deep or super emotional with the manga. Sit back and relax and grab a snack as you read Dog Solider!

As a big fan of Rambo and Saruwarati, I recommend reading Dog Soldier to anyone who wants to have a good ol' time. Just don't watch the OVA, It's trash!!

How come there isn't a review for Osu!! Karate-Bu? Seriously why? This Manga is something extraordinary and shouldn't have the score it has.


Story 10/10: At the beginning, it follows two students named Matsushita and Saito who are students at Kansai Fifth Technical High School. They are both bullied horribly because the school is known for it's being a delinquent high school. Needing to become stronger they both register in the karate club the school has, little did they know that the karate club ran by Yoshiyuki Takagi. It starts very comedic with a bit of action, but after that, it turns a bit more serious ... with a lot more martial arts and drama reminiscent of Hokuto no Ken and Dragon Ball being added into the start as Takagi becomes the main character of the story.


Art 10/10: The art here is very 80s with an overdose of crudeness added in. I couldn't imagine the art being realistic because I wouldn't have the same effect if it did. Very original too, I haven't come across something that looks the same or similar.


Characters 10/10: What can I say? Takagi is one of the manliest characters along with Kenshiro and Momotaro. This guy is the star of the show and the main character for a reason. He never gives up no matter what happens to him and always wants to protect his friends from evil and the corrupt. But, the other characters like Morigami are also great as well.


Enjoyment 10/10: I had an amazing time reading Osu!! Karate-Bu. It has had a profound effect on me spiritually and mentally. Hell, I have more hair on my chest and my dick has gotten bigger after every chapter I read. Once you start reading, you will be injected with an infinite amount of testosterone.


In conclusion, you need to read Osu!! Karate-Bu and watch the OVA. If you don't, you'll just be another chump who reads hentai all day every day looking like a Discord/Reddit Mod with Hot Cheeto dust all over your fat folds and hasn't showered in an entire year.


For Fan of: Sakegaki!! Otokujuku, Hokuto No Ken, and Dragon Ball

Day numero dos of my quest to watch some of the worst-rated anime on this site to find if they're so bad they're good, a misunderstood masterpiece, so bad it's bad, or an absolute dumpster fire. Today I watched Vampire Wars and my brother it was...enjoyable. I mean it is great by any means, but it was solid. So, we have our home boi Kuki who's in Paris( AKA one of the worst cities ever imp lmao) and gets caught up in sum shit. What is that shit you might ask? Well...a space vampire cult mother effer!!! And they need the home gurl Lamia, the ... girl Kuki falls in love with in the moment of a few hours of meeting each other, because she's a space vampire too. A few positives about this OVA are the hilarious dialogue, the action scenes are not bad, the blood was pretty good, and Kuki here has some pretty good rizz. A few negatives would be the story, just like Pyshic War sounds go on paper but poorly executed, the animation is alright, and parts in between the action and rizz were a bit boring. Overall, Vampire Wars is so bad it's good. It washed the taste of that damn Pyshic Wars out of my mouth. It's worth watching it maybe once every 10 years or so.

For this first entry, I'm for this saga is Psychic Wars. My Brothas and Sistas in Christ this is probably one of the worst and most boring anime I have seen to date!!! For the first 4 mins I was like "This could be good.", but after the one doctor got attacked by a chest-burster face hugger vigina lookin' ass thing, It quickly derails and kills everyone aboard the ... train, and the people waiting at the train depot. Two things that I can say are positive about this shit-show is that the OST is pretty good, Not gonna lie it was spooky yet groovy and the girl the homie was with was kinda cute and had some cake lmao. The animation is average, the story sounds cool on paper but terribly executed, and there should've been tons more gore, cuz like gore. To wrap dis shit up, do not watch this, my guy, unless you want to be bored for 50 mins.

Battle Royal High School what a fucking trip this hour-long anime is. If you like very mindless, over-the-top, and violent anime, this should be on your list. This is what happens if you mix in everything and the kitchen sink to shock and confuse the viewer. There are hints of Fist of The North Star and horror movies like The Thing, hell even The Toxic Avenger. What gives this anime only an 8 is that it's way too short and the endings very abrupt, if 20 or 30 more minutes was added in it would be a 9.5 or a 10. If you're a fan ... of over-the-top OVA cheesiness with gore, then this is the anime for you my friend.

Midnight Eye: Gokuu is a two-part OVA series directed by the one and only Yoshiaki Kawajiri, who has also directed such classics like Ninja Scroll, Wicked City, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, and Cyber City Oedo 808 to name a few. This anime follows a man named Gokuu Fuurinji a device that investigates the murders of his fellow officer colleagues and has been given the "eye of god" which allows him to hack into any computer which he then can control. Out of the cyberpunk anime Kawajiri has directed, Midnight Eye: Gokuu is probably my favorite. The art, the violence, and the weird shit that goes ... on in this anime is just incredible. Don't get me started on the OST, an amazing blend of synth, industrial, and a bit of hard rock sets such a great mood. If you're a fan of Kawajir's work, 90's anime, and cyberpunk, seeing Midnight Eye: Gokuu is a must.

Cyber City Oedo was very interesting. It's a creation by the legendary Yoshiaki Kawajiri that I've never seen before for some reason. I love Wicked City, Ninja Scroll, and Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, but I have never watched Cyber City until now. Cyber City follows three criminals named Sengoku, Benton, and Gogul who are serving life sentences and in exchange for getting their sentences reduced, they become officers. The character designs are influenced by 80's heavy metal and of course cyberpunk, you can easily tell that this is the work of Kawajiri, and the soundtrack is filled with rocking tunes that will get you headbanging. ... I'd definitely recommend this if you love Kawajiri's other work along with 80's metal and cyberpunk madness, then you should watch Cyber City Oedo 808.
