Both Hoshizora and Mashiro have the same idea when it comes down to it with some minor differences; the protagonist goes to a new school/area with their sibling, they get a harem, and find their special someone. Also, the character scheme is similiar (character have similiar personalities between the two animes).

both anime explore what is rigth and wrong thing to do. they both present interesting views of work in shades of gray. While Tokyo ghoul may be a bit darker than guilty crown. both works did great in this aspect. Also what is really good in both of them are beautiful drawings and animation, captivating music and great action.
