It's hard for me to put into words just how badly the characters in this show are written. Their motivations don't make sense, the same jokes that were slightly funny in the first two episodes are continually reused throughout the season, and when there's a chance for possible development it always falls flat.

The plot is nonsensical, and during the first 5 or so episodes I thought that if it got a little more serious and took some time to develop the themes it was setting out, then it could turn out to be an amazing exploration of human emotions and a story of how two ...

Everywhere you look in anime you find a story of a boy who starts weak and grows stronger, and never have I seen it done better than in "The Dangers in My Heart".

While the first season starts off with what seems like an awfully clickbait opening, a psychopath mc who wants to murder his classmates, you realize after a few episodes that this really isn't what the anime is about. It's a story of two people figuring out who they are, and becoming better, being brave, both because of the person they like and also for themselves.

Ichikawa isn't a psychopath, just a kid ...

It has some solid fight scenes, Igris especially was awesome. Solo Leveling is one of the most blatant of power fantasies. It's good in the sense that Sword Art Online is good, meaning that it really isn't good, but it hit its niche so well that it inspired a giant host of copycat stories. I almost have to respect it just because of the influence it had.

The characters in this story are just about the most bland that you'll come across. Once our main character starts getting strong he never loses another battle, and everyone around him is quickly left behind. Like the title ...

Shirou Emiya. Never in my life have I hated the protagonist of a story more than this. Never before have I felt so much secondhand cringe from one character, not even while watching RE:Zero. If you ever wondered what happens when you take the ever so honorable women protecting protagonist of a flat isekai anime, take away all his powers, and give him a woman sidekick who's many times stronger than he is, you've got Shirou. This boy caused me physical pain every episode, and every episode I would keep watching, hoping beyond hope that the next one would be better, there's so many good ...

There are very few shows I'm as eager to introduce to people as Frieren. From characters, to plot, to soundtrack, to animation, this show is as close to flawless as I've seen. As the title says, it's a story about what the heroes do after the journey has ended, and yet even without a world breaking threat each episode manages to make you care about the characters, to want to see where their journey takes them, and hope for their happiness. The action will be sparse for people used to watching shounen or fighting anime, but when they come they're some of the best fight ...
