If i can describe Fate/Zero in one word it would be "masterpiece". I personally thought Fate/Stay Night was ok but this prequel is what you want to see. I think Fate/Stay Night is too cheesy for me but fate/zero was like the adult version. Its like a more realistic atmosphere with the bad guys actually acting like bad guys which you don't see a lot nowadays. it's not just action/fantasy, it has a deep/psychological story to it and kept me guessing up til the end. It's not for the light-hearted either in some aspects. I can't describe this anime in words so just watch it
