in 1945 some stuff with some armies went on, you might've heard about it before. this movie does not mention the rape of nanking but it does tell the story of some people on some island somewhere. then it tells the story of the same people in places not on some island somewhere.

the art is really really really good and enhances the most emotional scene in the movie which was very touching if you weren't listening to someone complain about the subs for the entire fucking scene, luceo. aside from the highly stylised moments on the galactic railroad the art is ... generally good, two of the characters are consistently vibrant and fun to watch.

during the first half of the movie there's a great bit that really hits home how cool hearing stuff is, they're like singing a song and shit. the dub is really good and if you don't watch dubs i'm putting you on the f.b.i watchlist you fucking weebo pedo.

i really enjoyed this movie. perhaps you could consider the portrayal of the soviets as pretty nice guys who're just following orders bad, but i don't feel like thinking super critically right now. also for a movie about world war II im pretty sure there was nothing about the nuclear bombs. mostly it's just a story about people, and the circumstances they're in, rather than a movie that makes any historical judgements.

i can't say i'm a big fan of the art style for the characters, terrible late 90's art is more my thing, but the backgrounds are quality and i'm a fan of the character designs. my biggest criticism of the general art is how often the show the women naked, gimme some naked men or don't give me naked people at all ok???


isekai shokudo's cast is, in my opinion, it's biggest strength and biggest weakness. the setup of each episode is: new character eats food, enjoys, becomes a regular, rinse and repeat. i don't feel there's anything wrong with this setup since the characters are ... varied enough to mix up the episode while still remaining faithful to the formula. the best episode is episode 6 though because it has the entire cast present at that point interacting.

i could do a food comparison about how this show is comfort food, but it isn't because it's a television show.

i enjoyed watching isekai shokudou, it's formulaic, slow paced, and has far too much fanservice for my liking. the world is well built and very generic but the other world in the title being a nice little restaurant is cute. those are my criticisms of isekai shokudou, it's a nice little show with a varied cast, a great dub, and some very nice direction.

it's a 9/10 in my timtam book and if i had to make a comparison of any kind, i'd compare it to narnia except the wardrobe goes to a restaurant and there are no christian undertones.

jin roh is the specific type of garbage anime movie that anime fans will point at to say that anime can be serious, and this movie is seriously boring. a masterpiece of animation that could only be created by someone with a lot of script that they had no idea how to make interesting other than animating it.

the main character's name is fuse and he's a rogue cop with a short fuse in my ideal world. however in the movie he's a standard muscle protagonist type 2 with some ptsd, this does not characterise him in a way that is remotely interesting and i'm also ... quite sure it's an inaccurate portrayal of said ptsd. also movie twist but giving a reason for being a boring piece of shit does not excuse a character being a boring piece of shit. the other character is girl i dont care about + some politic guys.

animation wise i'd say this genuinely suffers from being animated too much in some places, you get the cool shots with lots of movement and then you get the terrible awful shots where nobody moves at all for twelve seconds. sound was unremarkable at best.

maybe i just didn't understand this movie, that's quite likely, honestly this isn't my kind of movie but we did decide to watch it even though i PERSONALLY voted for pokemon movie number destiny deoxys. jin roh is a stupid poopy movie for stupid poopy babies who like drinking poop sewer water from a sewer with poop in it, i'd recommend genocidal organ which was this movie but with infinitely funnier grammar.

they stole the armour from fallout new vegas 3/10 plagiarism is bad.

The world's most asshole JoJo character comes back again to draw on some faces and punch some children, These two OVAs are pretty interesting because David Production worked on this instead of making a good part 5 ed.

The two OVAs starts out in the town of Morioh where eagle eyed viewers will notice that this is actually a parallel universe to the Morioh from part 8 of JoJo. Other things eagle eyed viewers will notice are Rohan's headband and the appearance of Koichi's dad.

The story of these OVAs is secondary to the genius character of Rohan which successfully scared many people away from talking to ... Araki.
music returns from part 4 and I eat up part 4 like I overeat after having a bad day.

Art is slightly different from part 4 but still has the obvious JoJo style so anyone who complains is objectively wrong. I really enjoyed these OVAs, they're a fuck ton of fuck fun.

8/10 in the part 4 ed i thought that pink dark boy was gyro, eat shit and fall off your horse rohan.
