Even after playing the game, the story was difficult to follow. I can't imagine going in blind, literally nothing would even slightly make sense...

Story: 2

It's bad, like really bad. Basic stuff like Kasane having a crush on Seto, which singlehandedly causes her triggering the gate event is gone. It just happens with no indication.

They had the episode count, there is zero excuses for the lack of quality for the story. They easily could have left it halfway if they ran out of time, thus promoting playing the game.

Art: 4

It definitely feels off. Like it was a student project or something. The style seems very simple ... and to be honestly ugly. Fight scenes are very unexciting when all that happens is character does attack animation to the still cgi monster model, and then fight is over.

I get their budget was low, but this is just a waste of money... Who is this for? The fans don't like this, and I sure as hell know that non fans would hate it even more...

Sound: 5

Like it's kinda funny that the music was so good and iconic in the game, but they never bothered to bring it in here, or if they did, then I missed it. Overall, it's mediocre. It didn't stand out at all. The anime styled Opening for the game was better.

Character: 6

The characters are unique, and for that reason alone I gave it a 6. However if we are talking about like character development? It's terrible, no question about it.

Enjoyment: 1

Don't you know that feeling when you are really tired watching something and you start drifting in and out before you realize it? That's how I felt watching this. The story felt like a mess and the fight scenes were equally as bad. Music wasn't there to hype, and the art was sub standard.

Overall: 3

It was a poor experience and that's me going in with low expectations after seeing the scores and seeing reviews, I said to myself how bad could it really be, anything animated is better than the game's CGI fights... I was wrong. It's still CGI fights, but significantly worse.

I was impressed that they actually doubled down and picked up an anime to accompany the game, but I see that it was too good to be true. This is bad even if you know what's going on...

Fuckin God Eater is a masterpiece next to this and that show was denied their second season...

NO SPOILERS REVIEW

This show was so frustrating to watch, because it was actually amazing up to episode 6. Then each episode following, drastically got worse and worse.

It's like the studio was told they had 24 episodes to work with, and then 5 episodes in they were told they were only getting 13.

Story: 3 Poor

As good as it was at the start, by the time you finish the show, you'll feel empty inside. Random gaps of events just missing for no reason, extremely predictable, plot armor present. Legit hyped up the same character reveal at the end of the episode six times in a row. Breakneck ... speed level of rushing towards the end.

Art: 6 Fair

Pretty good character designs and backgrounds, animations were average, nothing crazy.

Sound: 8 Very Good

The music was very memorable, the OP, ED, and even the BGMs. All of it was enjoyable to listen to.

Character: 4 Decent

Some characters were given backstories and within those, they were good. However most of the characters did not, and so if I were to sum up everyone together I'd say between decent to poor. Lot of cardboard characters unfortunately.

Enjoyment: 5 Mediocre

First half was a 10, and the second half was a 1. Meeting in the middle with 5 only seems right. I loved and hated it.

Overall: 4 Decent

While I honestly feel this show should sit at a 3 Poor after watching it all the way through, I have to give credit where credit is due. Even though all the good doesn't outshine all the bad, it was still initially good.

I highly suggest you stop after episode 6, and just imagine what would happen next. Leave it on a high note.

Problems in the show,

1. Lack of background character's reactions to gore.

2. Long and annoying explanations about how magic works.

3. The Protagonist does things that pretty much break the logic of the show to the point where its a turn off.

4. Lack of overall knowledge of the world the show presents along with character histories.

There are a few more but those are just a few off the top of my head. I did enjoy the show but its a hit or miss for some people. I would recommend watching it.

I made this to tell a group how i felt about guilty crown and then i decided to post it as a Review and warn people that this anime is not for everyone.

I have to say this I absolutely hated Guilty Crown. I just can't believe i finished it, Around episode 15 i thought i was going to just drop it because i hated how the entire vibe of the show changed alot and then it slightly started to light up again and then the ending just shattered a large amount of my enjoyment of anime. I had high expectations for Guilty Crown. This has ... to be one of the most disappointing anime series i have ever watched. Nothing compares to it, I am really generous on my conclusion on all the anime i have watched and i like happy endings but sad endings can be appreciated but when they make a sad ending look happy only to be the worst of a situation,That just drives me off the f*cking rails. So i will say this as a complete NON spoiler way of saying what Guilty Crown is like. It starts like A Certain Magical Index Then turns into a Code Geass Then has a Kurokami the Animation ending
