Alright, alright. I'm gonna finally write a positive review for something.
With me piddling all over some other animes, getting a few removed etc. I think it's time for me to be positive for once. Besides in my HIV test.


Story: 8!

If you take out the characters from the anime, the story is shit. It's a normal teen drama that we've all seen before, and just like some of the characters, adds fuck all.
But with the characters to connect it, it rises to the dizzy heights of basically alright.
There are still a few things I'd change, but those are minor complaints.

It doesn't really stand out either way, but I really like it personally. It has a great color scheme, and a unique artstyle that isn't the generic one with same-tone colors everywhere. It's *enjoyable*.

Sound: 9!

Oooh boy. I kept getting chills because the voice actors did such a good job with their roles. The soundtrack is awesome, and well done. Not much more to say about it, really.

Characters: 10!

If I had to summarize all the characters in one world, it would be relatable. You can feel that you'd do exactly the same thing in the situation. They're all very human, and engaging. You can feel that they understand the shit they're in, and that they try to cope with the situation at hand the best they can. I'd go as far as saying that characters here are *almost* as good as in Re:zero.

Enjoyment: 9!

A surprising anime, although only slightly cliche, a very enjoyable one. I have no complaints about the characters, which is in my opinion the most important part of an anime, because we're supposed to project ourselves onto one of those characters. That's why having a large variation of characters is very important.

Overall: 9!

To start off, I give this anime a 9. Actually, five 9s.
As in NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN.

Now that we got the offensive reference out of the way, let me go and actually "review" the anime!

STORY! (1)

Okay. I think anyone who watched IS noticed that it's pretty much a carbon copy. It wears the "generic" stamp on its forehead. There's literally nothing good about it. Maybe it could be used as a torture method. Oh well.

Meh. I've seen some anime with worse animation. That doesn't change the fact that the animation is drab and awful. It's like it's trying to alienate itself from the other animes of this season, which are *mostly* good.

SOUND! (1)

Oh god. My ears ruptured almost at one point, I don't think I should review this part much. Especially because of the possible bias due to health issues caused by it. I do not know how does one manage to make an anime sound like a vuvuzela attached to an elephant dying of flatulence.

CHARACTER! (-infinity)

Oh god. I'm not even gonna try to list all the cliches with the characters. Incest imoutos, tsunderes, childhood friend that has a crush on MC, retarded main who can't read the bloody situation, dark past... and that's just scratching the surface of this turd. It's not even a turd, it's a shit show of shits, playing "singing in the rain" in a pile of boogers.

ENJOYMENT! (10/10)

Of course, I'm being sarcastic, in that lovably misanthropic way of mine. Seriously tho, I'd rather get water tortured, have my nails pulled out and my balls set on fire than watch this a 2nd time. But me, being a pro reviewer in not so much my prime as much as I won't be bothered later, will watch this till end, and you better bloody appreciate it. Because hanging yourself on christmas is slightly less depressing than watching this.
Either way, I watched it just to keep my edge as a reviewer. Reasons why I heavily dislike the anime is everything listed above.

OVERALL! (1)

If this anime had an original idea in its head, it would've thought it's a tumor. Ironically, the anime itself is the tumor, so please, if you like your brain matter, SKIP IT.

Again, there is NOTHING good about this anime. You can belch the facts that this is a harem, and it might not fit my tastes, but god damn, I've watched harem, ecchi, and all kind of cancer genres, and some were done fairly good (see Rakudai Kishi no Eiyuutan for a good ecchi/harem anime).

Oh god, I didn't expect this. A good harem/ecchi anime?
Watch out people, I think this was in the book of revelations!

Anyways, without further ado, go team retard!

STORY - 8

I have to admit, while this started as a boring, generic anime where you could essentially predict everything, it went onto a path that I didn't quite expect. It was actually good! Not higher because I still did predict a thing or two.

ART - 10

I don't usually really talk about art as a big thing, but when I can say that this anime generally looks better than half the shit that airs, you know new heights are reached.

SOUND - 8

While the sound is good, I still didn't like everything it offered. It's high quality, isn't some boring repetitive BS that I can spit on every day, and the voice acting is pretty good.

CHARACTER - 8

While they are the part that stands out the most, it's only 8 because harem, and I still dislike that part. The incest sister part still bothers me, but the characters are still better than approximately 100% of other harem animes.

ENJOYMENT - 9

I swear to god, this is the 1st *harem* anime that did everything good. It's not really ERASED or Stein's;gate, but it's definitely great.

OVERALL - 9

As you might have noticed, I actually enjoyed this. Not because it has a few good things, but it strays from the generic harem ecchi formula most animes seem to go for lately.
Either way, recommended for anyone wishing for a surprise.

I'm sorry Chaos Dragon, but you just didn't manage to attract me.

First off, the animation. It would be really good, if it weren't for the CG. It's overdone, and useless. The Bollock lord of Sheet mountain.
(On the other hand I'd be a really nice person, if it weren't for my personality)

Story: CD has a lot of focuses, which some people might think of as it is diverse and combines "good" elements of each genre, but how i see it is that it doesn't have a bloody focus, and without a focus, it gets really boring really fast! Doesn't have consistent comedy, story, characters or actually, ... just about anything.
Gets boring quickly, I don't know how i went through 12 episodes of something that equals chinese water torture.

Characters are boring and inconsistent. Generic as well, trying to picture a wimp as an occasional badass. Doesn't work like that anymore.


Sound is alright, it doesn't stand out in either way. There could be some improvements, but that's just personal opinion. I'm trying to have a general opinion on this.

Enjoyment and overall should be read from the above. Didn't enjoy it. It's bad.
Explosively apocalyptically bad. There's anime that you should watch just because they're bad, and the animes you avoid like the plague. This one is the latter.

I've got an idea why the hell this is getting flamed. It's because some people can't see past the ecchi. They think it's all DxD's got, but it's not.
This season has got much less ecchi than before.
Characters are advancing, and so is the plot.
Sure it has some generic anime cliches, but hell, Nisekoi is based around cliches, and it's still rated fairly well.
It's a very enjoyable anime that anyone with a bit of a tolerance for ecchi can watch. If you are weak to that kind of thing, give it a shot, if you don't like it, skip it. That's my rule when watching anime. ... Enjoy it, so you don't have to bloody flame the show.

I enjoyed it for it's light-heartedness and actually pretty decent relationships between characters. It's a funny show as well, so it has it's pluses.
I don't like a few things to be honest.
First off, I don't like that it's a bit too fast moving for my tastes, but that might be due to me watching Monogatari series.
2nd, some characters that are gonna have a role of one of the main heroines (yes, I'm talking about Rossweisse) doesn't get nearly enough screentime.
And last, but not least, I'm gonna have to wait till I'm like 30 till I can watch next season :l

So yeah, a really enjoyable show, could be better, but I've had my fun. Anime is made to be enjoyed, not ranted about.
