I decided to read the manga adaptation a few weeks after finishing the original Anime. I thouroughly enjoyed the anime but was left feeling empty and fairly unsatisfied with it's ending. The manga on the other hand had me feeling the complete opposite.
From a story perspective the manga and anime run parallel up until a point. Once this point is reached, the manga in my opinion shoots leagues ahead of the anime and truly delivers the character and story treatment Franxx deserved. Not only does it do a wonderful job at captivating you with the plot, it also adds in information and backstory / character
