*The characters are coming first because they're my personal favorite part of the franchise* Character-wise, The End of Evangelion is the same as Neon Genesis Evangelion, with a bit of extra crazy. Shinji, Asuka, Rei, Misato, and Gendo are all there, but, as this takes place directly after episode 24, they're at their peak amount of crazy. The story of Neon Genesis Evangelion is one that's difficult to get into without spoiling the show, but, in a nutshell, the show is about a group of people set in the fictional city of Tokyo-3, defending the planet Earth from aliens called, "angels," using human-created robots called Evangelions. However, it seems there is more than meets the eye, as underlying plots begin to unravel themselves.
