This manga is a cut above, in my opinion. As other reviewers have noted, the plot is a slow burn as the consequences of the MC's refusal to take sides in the human vs demon conflict begins to create ripples in the world, setting the course of history moving in a new and better direction. The art style is appealing, and can get quite detailed during action scenes (of which there are plenty of good ones). One thing I particularly appreciate -- the author also doesn't force all the female characters to pine endlessly after the MC, and actually gives them character development (how novel!).

This manga is really cute and wholesome, and I recommend giving it a read. The main character is from Tokyo, but he moves to Okinawa, and ends up falling for a girl with a strong Okinawan dialect. He can barely understand her, but the girl has a mutual friend who helps translate. The mutual friend has a crush on the main character too, which adds an additional cute element of romance. There is nothing ecchi about this manga, so you can read guilt-free. While it's not too long (seems like it might be ongoing?), it has likable characters and introduces the reader to Okinawan culture
