Both of these series are supernatural as they both contain characters that rely on consuming humans to survive. In Mars Red they (vampires) have to drink blood in comparison to Tokyo Ghoul where ghouls have to consume flesh. The appeal of these anime is watching how they fight to keep their humanity while opposing those who could not. There are also multiple fight scenes to show the audience how strong these people are when compared to humans.

In both of these titles they both have people that drink blood, in Devil's Line they are called devils, and in Mars Red they are known as vampires. The only difference is that vampires have to drink blood in order to survive while devils don't have to use it to live. But if a devil or a vampire has too much blood they can become addicted and constantly seek more by killing anyone they see. That is why in both series there is a special unit team made up of vampires or devils that hunt them. But everyone in these teams has a constant fear of losing their humanity and turning into what they hunt. A main character in each of the shows has a love interest (Mars Red doesn't focus on this aspect as much as Devil's Line) that helps them cope with their fears. Overall I believe these anime are similar and are definitely worth watching in my opinion.

Both of the main characters have a vendetta against demons. They have either lost something or someone and are fighting to get that/them back to how it was/they were originally. Both of the main characters create friends along the way who help them fight the demons in their own way based on their personality. They also are both full with fighting scenes given the nature of the anime.

Both of these anime revolve around the concept of a death game in a battle royale theme. They both have characters with similar personalities which give both anime the same sort of feel. The death games are accessed by electronic devices (with some exceptions) which tell them who their target is, or, how close another player is. Although these anime are similar they have different features that still make them distinct from the other (can't mention other features without spoilers) which makes both of them worth watching in my opinion.

Both anime revolve around mysterious killings affected by a curse. It is then up to a cast of students to determine what the reason behind the murders are and how they can stop them from occurring.
