What I would describe as the de-facto ero comic for those that like the more mature woman (large breasts and hips). No room for lolis or different fetishes/ preferences here.

The story is fairly typical and doesn't really go anywhere further. Shinji proceeds to have consensual relations with Nami and later Yumi (with Nami's persuasion) and then later both. Variation comes in the form of the outfits they wear, scenarios they are in (in public, outside, in the next room to where they are supposed to be entertaining guests). Although somewhat interesting and exciting since it changes each chapter, I do feel there is a ... lack of drama that can drive the story into a more interesting area. Once you have read a few chapters, you generally know what is going to happen in the next one albeit changes in setting and costume.

Later in the series, a little bit of backstory is explored for Nami including the introduction of a rival/ previous fling Nami had. He is introduced, swiftly NTR'd/humiliated during a meet up with Nami by Shinji and then Nami and Shinji make their relationship official - all in two chapters. I think if this dynamic was explored a little more there would have been some more interesting dialogue and changes in their dynamic. However Nami never really changes her opinion for Shinji thus becoming more of a one-dimensional character only there to serve Shinji (which is probably a sexual preference in of itself).

The series doesn't really end, just fizzles. The last chapters are mostly the same set up and then sex as a conclusion. Near the end of the second volume, Yumi finds out about her husband's infidelity much to her surprise but this is not explored in the subsequent chapters. So what happens? Do they continue to live with one another just cheating on each other?
I guess asking these sorts of questions in a hentai is really asking the wrongs sorts of questions

If you like what you see in on the front cover then you'll enjoy this manga for what it is. Beautiful ladies having consensual sex in different outfits and locations. If you want something more cohesive to make things more dramatic or exciting above the surface level - you'll have to look elsewhere.

Exploring the relationship concept of friends with benefits, protagonists Murata and Tomoka have realised that their current relationships were too much of a hassle to continue so confide with each on a physical level with no strings attached.
On the surface you may think that this series is set up for the two MCs to get it on in different scenarios but you'd be surprised!

Pre-serialisation, the author did have this in mind with those two going at it like rabbits even introducing more female characters so it started looking like a harem. Thankfully in the serialised story, Tomoka gets a lot more attention exploring the colleagues ... in her work place more though Murata still feels like a hentai MC as most females want to jump his bones.

However this manga isn't all about sex. It's actually more akin to a slice of life manga. Murata and Tomoka have lives, work, play, they go shopping and of course, they eat. The food looks incredible in this series and plays a second fiddle to the lovemaking (afterall, you can get it on with an empty stomach).
Despite it being a slice of life, I can't say that it is particularly funny. It's more of a drama with more characters being introduced thus muddying the waters of their friends with benefits relationship. Personally I think more differences should be introduced between Murata and Tomoka as the story seems to pit them on a strong friendship level with very similar wants and interests which may make you think that they'd end up together with so much in common.

Kouiu no ga ii has an interesting concept that was picked up for a J-Drama series (complete with sex almost in every episode!) - no idea how they'd broadcast this on TV. I'd recommend it for those that are wanting a little spice in their manga without too much to make you close all tabs when someone comes knocking. Or if you're tired of the same scenarios playing out in the more adult entertainment and want to slow the pace down.

You could 'call' this a reverse of Sherlock Holmes in a way. A Doctor and a Detective cure patients whilst solving crimes.
I say 'call' as it is less Sherlock Holmes and more House with more cheesecake.

Dr. Date is a local Shinjuku doctor always dealing with Yakuza, hookers, and the like, fixing their problems with a wry smile and a great left hook if troubles comes running. Enter Maria Daigo, a junior detective with a heart of gold and green horns looking to prove herself on the force. Their paths meet and the mangaka has to force them together as there really isn't a great ... reason for them to stay together.

The manga suffers greatly at the lack of character development these two get over the 5 volumes. Maria spends most of the time as eye candy or a protective gun to Date's wild deductions and expert medical skills. Maria should have been given a bigger role with deductions since she is the detective but is ultimately side lined by Date's superior observational skills and almost omnipotent fighting and knowledge over each case and story.
This is most evident in the last story arc where Maria is left completely out of the story showing that Date could easily carry the whole story through.

Despite these short comings I really liked the presentation and style of this manga. As a person in the medical field, I got giddy when Date started to explain medical terminology and causes of death in a fairly accurate way. Maria also looks very nice even finding her way into a sexy nurse outfit by the end of the series.

Sadly the series was cut short. Like incredibly short. The author doesn't leave on a cliff hanger but begins plant plot points in the final chapter knowing full well it was never going to continue afterwards which is frustrating to leave on.

I'd consider it a trashy manga for those that like the character designs (as I did), but the last few chapters especially the who done it murder case was executed extremely well.
