Story: 3
How do i [insert emotion here]? Each episode feels like a cheap attempt to elicit feels from the viewer.
Something i found slightly aggravating is how uncaring the direction seems to handle Violet's actual story, it feels like the flashbacks and infrequent outbursts of emotion are all that really exists to remind you that yes, She is actually the main character,
Episodes 10 and 11 especially give that "manufactured specifically to make anyone who watches feel something" feeling yet only a fraction of it can be attributed to any non single-episode throwaway characters.

Animation is smooth as is standard for all
...
KyoAni shows.
Character designs are the somewhat realistic overly-polished type, rating it would be entirely by preference.
Both the backgrounds and colour scheme make everything seem kind of blurry and washed out to me, watching a full episode from start to finish seems to cause me eyestrain and headaches.
Not good for those suffering minor visual impairment. 10/10 Would suffer migraines again.
Sound: 8
After spending some time simply listening the music i can actually point this out as the shows strongest point.
Character: 3
Generic melodrama types, 6 at best but 3 for being against personal preference. Background/Single-episode characters having more personality than the MC will always be a point against a show for me.
Enjoyment: 1
I didn't think watching a TV show would physically hurt me, i was wrong
Overall: 3
Even after around 20 years i don't think there has been an anime i've picked up solely due to recommendations that i actually enjoyed, i might be hanging out with the wrong people.
