Interesting show. It's not as bad as some people are making out.

The show is basically a mix of light action, adventure, and childcare. There was a lot more action than I was expecting which made me enjoy it a lot more. I was expecting a slow paced iyashikei with lots of cute kid activities, but these kids do not do kid activities, trust me.

This anime has no meat - there's a weak story thrown in there, but it doesn't really do much for it, it feels like it was put there just because it's supposed to have one. That said, the show is still fun ...

Preliminary (9/24 eps)
This show has blown my mind. Usually I don't watch shows like this, I'm your traditional anime action head who thrives on dubs, so it's rare to get into something like this.

I accidentally watched Parallel World Pharmacy a while back and thought it was awesome, so I decided to give this a try, thinking it would be similar. I was wrong, it was better.

The story flows so well, progressing in a way that feels like you're experiencing the main character's life instead of watching it on a screen. It sucks you into this beautiful and original world in a way that makes you curious, ...

First time I watched this I was mostly high, and although I enjoyed it, it didn't really make a lasting impression.

I just finished rewatching it and I really loved it this time.

Spriggan is basically a no nonsense action flick. Lots of fighting, lots of military, with a touch of Indiana Jones vibes. No romance or feely stuff, just great action with and adventure.

It was a little weird that the main character is a kid in school who has more sense than the average adult, but I think that adds to the awesomeness of the show.

If like me you're a fan of action stuff, you'll love ...

Started off great but later turned into a guilt simulator.

The show starts off well - characters are full of personality and life, adventures are exciting, backstories are kept short and entertaining, full of promise.

Somewhere down the line it lost it's way and turned into a full on guilt simulator. They really laid on the guilt thick on this one - after a while it stops being about emotional expression and becomes an annoyance.

I feel they should have focussed on other types of emotion instead of spamming the viewer with guilt and pain.

That said, I managed to get to the end and I wouldn't mind taking ...

Henkei Shoujo (Anime) add
Never before have I accidentally completed an anime.

I saw it linked on YouTube, watched it, came here to find out more about it, turns out the little I watched was everything.

The content of the show itself is actually pretty good, quite enjoyable. The only reason I gave it a 7 was because it's basically a trailer for a non-existent anime. It has no story or direction, just short 1 minute skits.

That said, what you get out of it is definitely worth the time invested. It's basically 5 minutes jumping between WTF and LMAO.

Definitely recommend watching it.

Preliminary (4/12 eps)
This anime is tasteless, lewd, corny, lacking in depth, formulaic, but boy is it fun to watch.

I'm only a few episodes in and I can tell this one will be one of those anime that I'm going to really enjoy. It doesn't take itself too seriously and it'll probably rot your brain but boy does it have it where it counts.

One thing to note is that MAL has it listed as "Comedy, Magic, Ecchi, Fantasy", which isn't wrong, but I feel that they should have included "action" and "adventure". Comedy, action, and adventure are my usual go to genres and if I wasn't bored shitless ...

Violet Evergarden AKA Crying Simulator 2018

So I've just finished watching the last episode of Violet Evergarden, which surprises me because I hate Slice Of Life Anime. I'm your typical action head and I never give non-action Anime the time of day but this one tricked me into watching it. My intention was to just look at episode one to see what the hype was about and next thing I'm sitting here writing a positive review after my tear ducts have taken a good and thorough thrashing.

The first thing that hits you about this show is the lush colours, beautiful animation, and hypnotising sound. The show's ...

Juuni Taisen (Anime) add
I’ll keep this review short because I know how much I hate to read through long reviews.

The show is simply a battle royale fought between 12 skilled fighters from 12 prestigious families, last man standing type of thing.

Who is this anime for? The show itself is first and foremost an action anime. The story is not complex or hard to follow so don’t expect any deep meaning from the plot. The animation is on point and will satisfy those who love slick battle scenes. If you like to just sit back and enjoy an easy to digest action anime then this one might be worth ...

There were so many negative reviews I felt compelled to leave a positive one because I actually quite liked it.

The anime itself I feel isn't as bad as others are making it out to be. I feel the reason it leaves a bad taste in people's mouth is because they try to over complicate things.

The story is a straight forward good vs evil fantasy set in a fictional ancient empire. It's the classic save the world from an overpowered evil power hell bent on wreaking havoc. The plot is somewhat predictable and the characters lack depth but that isn't necessarily a bad thing for an ...
