Season 3
I'm writing this as apart of the definitive Gintama review (I made for the previous season so please go check that out for context for this) but I want to clarify for context that I have only seen this and the past seasons as of writing this
This as of writing has been the best season so far, The blonde Gintoki Imposter part was alright, The tragic love story bit with the shogun was again alright, I did love the Tsukuyo bits in that part I will add, They did a entire Star Wars parody, I never thought I'd be able to type out the
...
words “Anime Yoda Terrorists” before but guess we live in a word where that's a thing, The final episode was actually my favorite of the season, I don't overwrite my thoughts but Sadaharu's episode might possibly be one of my favorite parts of this entire series, Absolutely beautiful short story of Sadaharu taking care of the puppy
Gintoki also got a lot of focus this season which was honestly really nice to see since he can sometimes feel like a background character in his own show, Gintoki also received two major fights which were awesome and I hope that there's more of them to come in the future
Unlike the past two seasons where I liked about 50% of the show's actual content, This season was different, I honestly don't believe there to be a single bad episode in this season, I hope the fourth doesn't disappoint but we'll see
Over all I still think this season was beyond fantastic enough to deserve a 10/10, Definitely was worth sitting through the past two, I shall see you in the fourth review

My last Review for 2024, Honestly I really liked this DanDaDan was a nice change from the typical shounen anime
I won't try to spoil a whole lot about the story is about but it has a good mix of romance and comedy with some sci-fi mixed in
For the characters Ken Takakura (Okarun) is fine with not really much to say expert for spoilers the whole story revolves getting his balls which is probably the most interesting thing about him without including his relationship with the next character, I'm gonna be speaking about
Momo is single handedly is the most interesting character in this series, Her relationship
...
with Okarun is probably the most genuine thing I've seen in fiction to date, Her banter with basically everything is hilarious, She genuinely might become one of the greatest female characters in shounen behind the ones from One Piece (Biased take probably, Screw you) and Frieren which is anime that came out this year
The mix of aliens and Yokai, The comedy, The relationship between our main characters, the amount of references surprisingly, And the weirdness of the whole series just adds so much charm to it
I look forward to the following season back home after this, Hopefully they don't drop the ball but for right now I'm giving this a Ranking of 10/10

Now this is a relatively new series as I am reviewing this so I'll probably update this once more chapters come out, As of right this will only be of the 3 chapters translated in English
I'll be honest Drama Queen isn't bad, So far it's about a bunch of aliens that come to earth and this two characters Nomamoto a girl who has a shit alien boss at her job, She later meets a guy named Kitami who's family was killed by aliens in a car accident
The premise of the story is basically they come together over they shared hatred for the aliens, Kitami
...
eventually ends up killing an alien and brings the body to Nomamoto's apartment then he asked for her help in getting rid of the body, She then proceeds to fucking cook and eat the alien (I'm dead fucking serious she eats it) and now they apparently work for this guy who wants to pay them for killing aliens?, That's pretty much the story so far from what I've gathered
Other than the plot of the manga I honestly thought this was pretty funny, I fucking despise censorship so it's already started and I'm already looking forward for what comes of this manga, Also the panels look really good here
Giving it a solid 7/10 but my hopes for this are that rating goes up in time

The Ranking of King, I actually have a lot to say about this one
I wasn't a fan of the first episode I'll admit that but man this series was rough, Probably one of the most emotional stories I've watched in a really long time, I won't spoil the story at all but I will say this reminded me a bit of Game of thrones, After the second episode this show really becomes something truly special and a series I feel like deserves a watch
(Character stuff)
Bojji in terms of main characters in anime media his little guy achieves more then any single one of them,
...
He's also deaf which you don't see a lot of in anime so that was really nice to see, I loved literally any scene with him and Kage (Another character I have a ton to say about) now Bojji isn't a scene stealer or anything but watching this guy was worth it
Now in my opinion Kage is probably the best character tied with any Hiling (Who was my favorite and I'll talk more about her in a bit) I'll say this about Kage, Any episode that mainly focuses on him is a 10/10 by itself, Loved his background, Loved his relationship with Bojjj to the point where I'd say it rivals that of the Luffy/Zoro dynamic that I love from One piece (I don't know how else to describe it) he definitely belongs in the top 10 of best supporting characters in anime
Now I know I said I loved Kage and I do stand by that, But man Hiling really caught me off guard to the point where I'd say she main be one of the best moms in anime, I won't say any spoilers but man Hiling might be my favorite character from this series just barely beating Kage
Other characters I'll mention are Daida, Didn't care for his plot since he just reminds me of Joffrey and nothing really changed that as the story progressed, I also didn't care about Miranjo after the fucking plot point I'll get into in just a sec, Because she should have just died if they were going to go down that route to spare her amazing character development
Now I'll say you I didn't like about this show, What the fuck was with Daida taking Miranjo as his wife?, I mean really?, That fucking might be my only issue with this series because why the fuck did they need to write that in
(Final thoughts)
My ranking for this is a solid 9/10, It definitely had some issues some so more than others but I feel like the good parts outweigh the bad

Your Lie In April was a series I've been thinking about watching for a while and honesty I quite enjoyed this one
For starters the animation especially coming from 2014-2015 looks amazing, For context I'm writing this review at the end of 2024 so this anime is a decade old now but looks like something that would come out today, It's very impressive, The piano playing scenes are just completely out of this world
Character wise I actually have a lot to say, Arima is another one of those “Insecure Teenager Characters” which is fine but the background of the abuse he suffered from his mother
...
really adds depth to his character
Kaori by herself is definitely the soul of this series, I enjoyed her comedic moments but when it comes to her sad moments, Oh it's completely heartbreaking, Very fucking heartbreaking, The scene where she loses the ability to walk is probably one of my favorite scenes in the entire show, Finding out she was pulling the strings the entire time throughout the show was rather interesting, You never would expect a Death Note like feat to come from a character like this
Now Kaori was great but Tsubaki was even better, I feel like she steals every scene that she's in especially near its end, Now her story trying to figure out her feelings can be a little drawn out but it has some charm to it
I also oddly like Nagis short storyline especially her duet with Arima, That scene was probably it was beautifully animated second to only Arima playing in the finale
The storyline was really good here and the writing was top notch, My Ranking for this is a complete 10/10 for this masterpiece of a anime

I'll keep it brief this is probably the weirdest manga I've ever seen like who the hell wrote this?, Ogeha is a story about a butterfly looking creature being being taken cared by a guy who's definitely a psychopath, I swear this is like a psychological thriller but disguised as a cutesy anime series
This shit is just fucking weird, In a bad way like this is the type of story that needs to be burned erased from the world, It's a shame because art wise it's actually pretty good especially the backgrounds
Rating is a 4/10, It's bad just don't read it, It's nothing to spend
...
your time reading don't waste your valuable time like I did with this garbage shit show of a manga

Now every manga reader says “You gotta read Berserk” and I'm about to share my thoughts on the entire series of a whole up until Chapter ‘378’
(Story Stuff)
Now as a story Berserk has its ups and downs, I think it's universally agreed that The Blackswordsman arc - The Golden Age arc are perfect, Perfect in terms of what message they want to say and visually perfect in everything they want to show the reader
Now I won't get into specifics with the other arcs, But it is worth mentioning that most of my favorite scenes/panels came from The Falcon Of The Millennium Empire arc, I
...
just enjoyed a lot of the moments there
(Character Stuff)
Guts
I think as a character is one of the most real protagonist I've ever seen, He's not a plastic shell that people and see themselves in or some flawlessly righteous hero, He goes through Anger, Fear, Joy and Sadness lots and lots of Sandness, He would go walk through the pits of hell over hot coal and broken glass just for the one woman he loves, A quality and feelings that 99% of men (Including myself) would share for the sake of our love ones, I feel Guts is the embodiment of what love really is due to the sheer will that drives him to do everything for Casca
Griffith
Honesty, yeah, He's pretty sick and twisted villain and Griffith does more than a good job at being said villain, But but there really isn't anything more to that other than that, for a large part of story, He doesn't do much, His impact can be felt throughout the entire story obviously but there's still a lot more you can do with him and that I look forward too
Casca
Now there's two sides to this, The first one is her early on in the story, Now a lot of people who've only seen the original anime (Which I watched and is complete shit compared to the Manga) see her in a light similar to Sakura from the Naruto series which I don't believe is fair, There's a lot of depth to her character that a lot of people don't really see, She's painted as “The strong woman” archetype but in the second half of the story is reduced to this mindless creature with the intelligence of a baby, Now she is possibly the most complex character in the story, Due to how drastically different her character is back and forward, Casca in my opinion only really serves for a plot device in the later half of the story but still has enough of a character in the early part to matter, She also is completely essential to the entire journey that Guts goes on
Puck And Isidro
I'm gonna put them together, Because my thoughts are very similar with them with Puck specifically, I think he is a good example of when I think Berserk finds its footing, He brings the comedy that I think Berserk needs, Isidro definitely extends to that also with the two also paired together, I don't really get the hate that Isidro gets since I enjoy every moment between him and Schierke (I'll get to her in a bit) yeah I guess if you are type of person that wants Berserk to be edgy and nothing but that, Yeah the comedic tone that comes with them together might affect your experience, But I personally believe it's a good contrast with Guts, They have a whole Batman and Robin dynamic where you have the dark and brooding adult with the plucky sidekick, They are both completely necessary for what Berserk is
Farnese And Serpico
Now I don't have much of really anything to say about Serpico, I did want to throw him in here with Farnese because I have a lot to say about her entire development as a character, Now in terms of Antagonist turned ally, I still she stands up as the latest example of how to that right and I do love her development as a character, She started as insufferable, But due to Guts breaking her out of her bratty psycho princess shell, Her caregiver relationship with Casca and even later on her entire relationship with Schierke, Being her pupil and studying magic, Farnese really grew on me, Now with the recent developments in the story (More on that later) I'm not sure what they even plan to do with her, But very interested to see
Schierke
Oh how I fucking love Schierke, She has the best introduction panel I've ever fucking seen in any anime or manga, She was also just a breath of fresh air with everything in Berserk up to that point, What I'll also say is the only and one thing I disliked was her weird crush on Guts, I mean what the actual hell?, There's even one very specific panel I hate between her and Guts that becomes somewhat sexual, It's gross, But she is still a great contrast to what Guts is as a character, I feel like she's probably even more important to the story then even Casca in terms of what she represents, I also enjoy the none stop banter between her and Isidro, They were probably my favorite parts of this entire series, I feel like they're very under appreciated, Her development after joining the group was really well done, She's possibly my favorite thing to come out of this series, It just sickens me some of the things Miura did with her character
(Art)
I feel like maybe next to One Punch Man and Rooster fighter, The panels here are some of the best looking in all of manga that you can read and Kentaro Miura did a fantastic job, He did so much for a great job there's even a debate of even reading past what he personally drew
I'll even comment on that honesty, I feel like the change is very noticeable, Not necessarily bad but noticeable, Backgrounds are still great and silhouette shots are pretty good but faces, They still have a lot of room to improve, Now I don't fault them at all but you like given some time, They will be able to provide a product that will maybe not surpass Kentaro Miura but still be good enough to provide us with what he left us with, He himself wasn't perfect in terms of writing to be fair, So I'll await the future of Berserk and stay positive of what's to come
Rest In Peace Kentaro Miura, Thank you for this story that took me almost a year to read, I've learned so much about life and even writing from your flawed but beautiful work, This is worth reading
Rating 10/10, (I'm so original I know)

This is possibly the greatest piece of anime filler I've ever seen, Now I'll admit I do have some personal biased in that statement considering One Piece is my favorite story ever told but there is some truth behind that
The animation in this is insanely good, Movie quality even, You can skip everything not canon but still fine an exception in this special
This takes place during the Marineford War and the beginning of the Fishman Island arcs, it's basically a look into the world of One Piece, It's honestly terrifying the perspective of the Marines during the war with all the crazy devil fruit eaters,
...
I also enjoyed the story arc that the little girl goes through (The Nami Fan) everything inside this special just embodies the real message behind One Piece

This was weird, the story is basically about a girl whos father gives her some strange little statue that has an evil god inside of it, she sleeps and another god gives her a necklace that allows her to use some of the power of his wife by twerking
Yes you read that right twerking, what the actual fuck is this Cuties looking ass shit
I'll be honest, I got a few laughs out of it since the comedy isn't the worst thing to exist, But writing is still really weird
Rating here is 4/10, Bad just bad, could be worse but there's some laughs I guess but
...
the weird undertones the mini series has just make me uncomfortable

After watching this film and thinking about my thoughts on it and how I was going to write this review I've come up with this
What the fuck was up with the jerk off scene, Who the hell green lit that?, I had to pause the movie and sit for a solid 2 minutes just so I could process what I watched
The Asuka fight scene with the Eva series was honestly the highlight of this film, Along with animation in general it was just fucking phenomenal
The Misato and Shinji kiss was gross, Why just why, Why did they need to put that in the movie
My Rating
...
is 7/10, I'm not talking about the story with this, But my thoughts haven't really changed on a series overall after watching this, The animation is incredible but I couldn't care less about what the movie is trying to say
