The story is good, but it's a little predictable, especially to anyone who knows anything about the Egyptian god, Anubis. It makes for a very interesting story in how it plays out as it doesn't happen as one might expect it to.

The art is as beautifully done as ever.

The character of Anubis is sadly too predictable, even with having a millennium item that was not mentioned in the main series doesn't really change too much other than just adding a new element to an evil force who (predictably) wants to defeat the Pharaoh (for revenge) and take over the world (that has been done so ... many times…).

Overall, I enjoyed it.

A good addition to any collection or for any fan whether they are just starting out or an old-time fan. You don't need to know anything about Pokemon to be able to understand this manga.

There is also a more in-depth story line than the one presented in the anime that not only makes connections to the real world, like talking about school and how there is a test to get one's license to become a Pokemon Trainer, but also a more in-depth look at the Pokemon world as a whole and more detailed information on how everything works.

It is a twist on the anime ... that delves a little deeper into both the reality, making it easier to connect to our world, and the technology of that world itself.

This manga isn't for the faint of heart or those with a weak stomach as it pulls no punches when it comes to this dark manga.

Set in an English background, there could not be a darker manga than this without adding gore to it (which this manga doesn't have a lot of gore in it - but it is only for mature readers as it includes scenes of violence, incest, & sexual situations).

If you have the nerve to delve into the dark that is goth, this manga is for you.

I began reading this series, thanks to a friend, when it was still being translated. As soon as I picked it up I couldn't put it down! I spent an entire week going to the book store after a day at college just to read another volume!

I was pretty broke back then and couldn't afford to buy the series, but even after I'd finished it I was surprised and stoked when a 13th appeared! By then, I'd bought the whole series and I had to have it too (even if it's not a story volume) and I was pleased as punch to discover L's ... true name! (sorry, no spoilers here)

I've read and re-read this series countless times and it is still one I wouldn't mind being caught reading!

I loved this movie, I've watched them all and when it comes to going back to seeing the movies again this one I watch and re-watch again and again. It is second to none in the four movies that have been released. The only other movie that ties it for first is the third movie (Swords of An Honorable Ruler).

The plot is absolutely astounding and the villain continues to make me cringe every time I see him lift up a leaf to his lips. He's a villainous demon I just love to hate.
