SIMPLE NON SPOILER REVIEW
Best First season for a modern Shounen anime no debate (and yes even better then Demon Slayer but not by much)

The most outstanding parts this anime has to offer are it's characters and animation.
The story itself isn't unique but it's done far better then my hero academia and such just by how entertaining it is. The entire roster of characters are loveable.
There is no character you will end up hating which is something you won't see in Demon Slayer or My hero academia where characters are sometimes barely bearable to watch or just flat out ignored for the entire season ... after their use is done.
The Sound design is really good although not something to the level of anime such as attack on titan. (The soundtrack is a bop)
ANIMATION is absolutely amazing, I can't stress enough how fluid the fight sequences are and with such detail.
OVERAL: Yep its pretty great.

Let me make this clear.... This movie is not perfection, and it contains multiple flaws from the side stories to side characters, and the lack of world-building.

However.

This film holds a special place inside my heart. I gave this film a 10 not because of it's technical prowess, but because it has impacted me on such a personal level that I can't simply bring myself to drop it below a 10. As such, I'll be covering it's flaws and the absolutely beautiful strengths the film has to offer. (And having watched it in theaters just enhanced my experience tenfold)

The side characters are generally not very ... likeable or just have not much of an engagement as I would like it to have. Many characters are introduced but rarely, if ever again, appear in the film. Their struggles although very sad, aren't very compelling to me.

The music was solid. Overall it worked very well to fit the aesthetic and backgrounds of the movie. It fit fantastically in the emotional scenes of this film as well.

Main Characters
This I believe is the strongest point that this anime has to offer. The relationship between Ariel and her mother, Maquia, Is truly beautiful. I can't begin to describe how strong and impactful their relation as mother and son progresses spectacularly, and ends with a point so strong I quite literally broke down in tears.

To keep this review short as I am running out of time, Yes I recommend this movie and although the flaws are very noticeable (and often distracting)I strongly urge you to watch this movie and please do so In the least distracting environment as possible, IF ANYTHING, those last five minutes of the film are worth everything.

(I also forgot to mention but the theme song by Rionos, Viator, IS absolutely beautiful. It is such a tragedy that I can't find it available for streaming in Northern America)

Minimum on spoilers

First of all, I did not expect the story to go so deep and dark into the world our characters reside in. I enjoyed the characters my favorite being Shun being the leader of the group. The ending satisfied me enough and the music I love the choice of the song, "Symphony no 9 From the New World" by Antonin Dvorak. It was placed well in the scenes. Overall Im so divided I want to give this series a 10 but some of the events I thought could've been expanded with one more episode. I will stick to my feelings and give it ... a 9 (if My anime list had an option for 9.5 I would realistically give it that)
