**This is gonna be a longi review so yh, theres your warning lol Theres no realy catagories where i can place my thoughts as these are fresh thoughts andi I'm just writing whetever comes to mind. also i dont wriye many reviews, imn fact I think this my very first so, i'm sorry if it sucks lol Its really just me rambling about how the show changed so much since it first aired, its such a differet show now.**

Dragon Ball Z. Like I would actually look at Dragon ball GT and think that it was indeed the better show, I hated on everything, even before i watched the show lol, so much crap was shown to me through youtube and random articles and I hated it, I really didnt see anything great about it.
After watching the show however? My opiniom has drastically changed, I really like Dragon Ball Super now to the point where i'm bummed out that I caught up to Episode 123, I'm desperate to see the next episode lol.
Now i'll try and explain what my experience was like while watching the show from episode 1 to 123. When i first started things ff, i hated it because it wasjust some over the top, over dramatic and extremely slow paced show that was just doing a horrible job pf redoing the movies Battle Of Gods and Ressurection F. Why was it horrible? because it was compltetely pointless and absolutely no new information was given to the veiwer, absolutely NONE! Its a complete waste of time! Then you have the combat which is as bad as most of you heard, slow and pathetically sluggish! Put a toddler in the fight and it will fight faster and hit harder, hell its reaction timess will bne better too coz these mutha fukaz are completely brain dead the minute somethrew a punch!

Then you have the art and animation just screaming cheap with every scene and every frame, shit was disgusting! I tried to make myself feel better by callling it an after story because it definetly felt like that, an oppurtunity to see my fave characters again and see where they ar now and whats going on after DBZ. The fights definately felt like an after thought and there was so much pointless drama ourside of the fights, so much time wasted just to see shit like Vegete cook coe food to please a character named Whiss so he can train him. Ok not totally pointless but I stll feklt like my time was being wasted and man, Super has a LOT of pointless shite to see.
Look long sotry short, it was a nightmare to get through and I don't know how I did it...but i'm glad i did. Once the movie reruns were over, the show was beginning to pick up, stilll fucking shit but now its original content and the story was moving forward, the fioghting was still utter trash and stupid shit was still going on but that all began to change when a character named Hit begins to fight in episode 38. You start to see the fights slowly resemble the kind of fights you see in Dragon ball Z, not quite there but its definetly showing up now. now the arc where this fight takes place is called the Universe 6 arc btw.
Now after the universe 6 arc is another one but i'm not ging to say what it is as I think you should see for yourself. Let me just say though that it begins at episode 47 and its a damn good arc, THIS is where Dragon ball Super can be considered a good show because not only are the animation get good, the story itself is really interesting too, I was shocked in how immersed into the story I was and what was going on, I was actually enjoyimg myself now and then i realised that the people behind the show were actually listening to the complaints and making the show better, I never thought that would happen because it usually doesnt but it did. This arc is where they finally found therirsweet spot and figured out how to keep the momentum going and tell a good story on top of that. Like you know that moment when your struggling onsomthing for so llong but then something just clicks? like it just happened one day and verything starts working out and contniyes to work out rom there on? Thats whts going on here, they found the thing that clicked and they stuck with it while improving on it as time passed.
After this, the show contnued to improve over time, sure we had some weak moments here and there bt all in all, the show had seriously stepped up up its game to the point where it feels like a completely different show alltogether. The currrent arc does what they been aiming for this whole time. Make Dragon Ball Super more hectic and crazy and over trhe top than DBZ. That scale and pressure froma powerful opponent has finally arrived and they went all out on this guy, you may have heard of him but i wont say a thing for people who don't, watch Dragon ball Super becase it is damn well worth it if your fan of Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z.
3 last things to say. I gotta talk about the characters tho.
1st things first. You remember how so many of the Z fighters became irrelelvent in DBZ since they cant match the power of Goku, Gohan, Vegeta n Piccollo? I wont spoil anything but Super does something fucking awesome with some of the old characters and made em relelvent aagain and that is just fucking amazing! i'm so glad they did hsi because i now have new found respect for the old characters. You have to see it to know exactly what i jean but it works with the story. So awesome seeing em back in action.
Super also seems self aware of the things we wonder while watching Dragon Ball and actually answers them, they even poke fun at transformations and the chracrrs te d to wait lol. I even learned of things that i didnt think about like why Goku n Vegeta fell for Chi Chi n Bulma despte them constantloy beating the shit out of em. Theres a ton of good info in the show.
Finally the last part of my review. I'm mostly gonna focus on Goku,Gohan, Piccollo n Vegeta because this review is long enough as it is and itll take too long to explain everyone.
-Goku: I feel they fucked his character a nit, He's waaay too laid back now to the point when its time to get serious...he doesnt, its lioke they took is happy go lucky attitutde and lust for fighting and cranked it up to 150%. one example i can give is when Goku lost a fight to someone and Piccolllo saus "Whats the chanceof me beating this guy? Now itf this was DBZ Goku, he would say "Honestly Piccollo, your chances of beating him is slim at best, he's really tough" or somrthing like that but Super Goku just puts his hand behid his head, laughs n saus "hahahaa nope, you got no chance" I'm like wtf? Dude, you soud like a complete dick. They also made him seem pretty fuvkin stupid too, lie He's always been slow but never truly stupid or obnoxious, Super however most definetly is all that. Then his lust for fighting takes a whole diffferent level. Theres a point in the story where Goku n friends are gonna battle other chracters but lets just say suttin bad happens to the losers. Its a serious situatiion where DBZ Goku would at least get serious and have a frown on his face at least but Super Goku says "I don';t care, i just wanna fight stronger people" I'm like wtf!? They fuckechim but i think he has definetly improved over the show, like the point im at, he's seems more like old Goku but yh, he's no longer my number 1 favourite character here.
-Vegeta: I always liked Vegeeta but i like him even more in Super, i fel got him just right, he's matured so much, he;s accepted that goku is just someone who is always one step ahead of him and while yh it does piss him off, he's not constanltly ranting about it like before in DBZ, he just pushes himself and fights his own way. I feel sad for the guy whever Goku finds new powers n abilites and he;s just there, in second place, catching up, its infuriating. LET VEGETA GET STRONGER THAN GOKU FFS!!!! Anyway, Vegeta is the mature one, he's not begging for fights like Goku, he lets the fihts come to him and even puts his family above the fights, defimlty a step in the right directionhere.
-Piccollo: Not too much to say about Piccolllo other than you get to see his more faherly side towards Gohan n his daughter lol ,he';s still the same old Piccolllo and thats a good thing.
Goohan: I'm sick and tired of seeing Gohan get strong and then get weakerm WHY DO THEY KEEP FUCKING WITH HIS CHARACTER!? I get he's not a fighting maniac like his dad but cmon, at least give him this thing to want to stay i shape, you knwo>? that whole Saiyan thing? fuck in hell man. As usualy they made him strong again but for how long huh? LOL
Welll thats the end of my review, sorry it was long and sorry is it sucked lol this is my first itme writing one.
Btw, Wanna know the best way o watch? watch it like this in this order for the best experience.
Battle Of Gods Movie------->Episode 18 (maybe 16 and 17 too)------->Ressurection F movie-------->28 and onwards. Fillers is up you.
-tl;dr version:
Super sucked ass balls at first because it redid the movies but slowly starts to pick up on episode 28 coz its new content but it gets pretty good from episode 47 and it just gets better n better and now feels like a proper ragon all show but with its own feel. Well worth the watch.
