"Man, watching that anime about tanks was so pure!" - words I never thought I would utter.
I initially picked this up from hearing about it here and there and came in with zero expectation or knowledge, and at that point hadn't really watched anything similar. What I was greeted with was a very easy-to-watch and casual anime which I enjoyed start to finish. It's by no means my favourite, sure, but I'm definitely glad I picked it up.

Question: What can a studio do in 26 minutes?
Answer: A butt-tonne! This was a great little piece with a lot of emotion, good character building and story. There's a lot of emphasis on show-don't-tell with the majority of the details, due to the time constraints, but that really works in it's favour. It makes the whole story a lot more immersive and natural, and I found myself really getting sucked into it all. The art is very typical Trigger - the scenery is pretty and the characters are really emotive with well-defined styles that convey their traits. With that, the story is really brought to life in ... |
