So I have watched and read both the EG manga and anime, and so my review will be mostly a comparison between the two.
Story: 6
Between the manga and anime, clearly the better one in terms of story is the manga. The anime skips out a LOT of story contents and changes many situations, which is why if you read the manga, you will notice many differences between them. I did not like the addition of ninjas in the first raid of the airship as it was unnecessary and was not in the manga.
The sting raids are also very different in the manga compared to the
...
anime. I disliked the changes made to Viro`s arc because in the manga, it was MUCH more impactful. There are also tons of characters from the manga who are not present in the anime, as well as anime original characters and main villains who aren`t present in the manga. The story is changed up pretty badly, especially towards the middle-end of the manga, where the story peaked.
Art: 7
The art wasn`t too bad and for an early 2000 anime, it was actually pretty good. However I do like the manga art more as it is more detailed.
Sound: 9
The soundtracks were honestly REALLY good and fit pretty well into the anime. My personal favourite one is "Namida no Erementar Gerad"
Character: 6
As I said before, many characters from the manga were skipped out. This is bad because a lot of them contributed to the development of characters, mainly Ren. These characters were also very unique and interesting and would`ve made the anime much more enjoyable.
Enjoyment: 7
I still enjoyed watching it as it was before I decided to read the manga.
Overall: 7
It was an enjoyable experience, however I suggest that you read the manga instead because it is much more in depth and enjoyable!

As seen from other reviews, The Promised Neverland season 2 completely butchered its source material, which is the manga. Watching the first episode, I did not expect chapters worth of content to be skipped out, and many parts just extremely rushed and bolstered into one boring scene. I didn't think that an anime can disrespect a manga more than Tokyo Ghoul season2 did, but it appears I underestimated the director(s) of this series.
I was shocked to find out that Clover works, which is the studio that did season 1 of TPN and made it so beautifully, just like the manga, would be the same studio
...
that did the garbage that is season 2. I was and I still am, extremely disappointed with the pacing of season 2, where they skipped out a certain VERY IMPORTANT character, and a very important arc, namely the Goldy Pond arc. Those parts of the manga are some of the best following the first arc.
I was extremely upset with how they skipped pretty much every single internal monologue that would have made many scenes MUCH better than they would have been. And a lot of scenes where in the manga, would've shown a variety of panels, were butchered because the anime decided that there was no need for that and just kept the focus on the characters as they were conversing.
I haven't watched the rest of this season because it feels like I'm just forcing myself to watch it, but I know that they've also changed the ending and made it completely anime original.
I loved the ending of the TPN manga which by the way, is completely different from the season2 ending, from what I've heard. It's sad to think that such a masterpiece of a manga, even though it has flaws like any other manga, has been disrespected by its adaptation, and anime onlies will not get to experience that which manga readers have.
That's why, I plead for a remake of this anime. It clearly deserves one that can hopefully revive the legacy of this masterpiece.

Elemental Gelade's manga is honestly one of the best manga, if not the best I've read, and I've read a bit of manga (Tokyo Ghoul, chainsaw man, bleach, TPN)
The story for EG is outstanding. It has an interesting start followed by a VERY interesting storyline. It felt very fleshed out because all aspects of its storyline was inspected and explained very well. Personally, it's story was the thing which made me hooked on reading it, and I've already watched the anime version of it.
The characters are so fun and interesting as you learn more about them, and see their personalities from their many interactions. The
...
character development of this manga is amazing because almost every character is fleshed out and their mindset changes/broadens over time. I was enfatuated with the characters, and got attached to many of them (especially the main characters)
The art...whew, is literally some of the best I've seen. The character designs for the most part always look so flawless, and there are so many beautiful; badass manga panels. Easily my 2nd favourite artstyle and quality of art (1st being Tokyo ghoul)
As I've said before, I've watched the anime, but it wasn't particularly standing out to me. I decided to read the manga, but I wasn't expecting much compared to the anime...but boy was I wrong. The anime and manga are very different in MANY ways, including original characters in the manga not being in the anime (and vice versa)
And I honestly found the manga MUCH BETTER because of its beautifully fleshed out storyline, and characters, compared to the anime. And I generally enjoyed reading the manga much more, although the anime wasn't that bad.
The only thing that I disliked about the manga was the ending which was a cliffhanger. I looked for a sequel but there wasn't any (to my despair) and I really wanted a proper ending to a manga that I especially loved.
So in conclusion, this manga is a must read, and although it may not be everyone's choice of reading, I say "give it a try, you won't regret it!"
