This anime would've been amazing if they executed it properly. But if sort of felt like they were trying to deal with two many things at once.

First off, in the difference in strength in the heroine (Eruna) between the first episode and the last episodes was just impossible. The timeframe given for her to evolve her power beyond absurd is just impossible. From what I can tell, she transferred into the school and this was episode one. And then she becomes this strong in episode twelve when it was just the midterms? But there were no Christmas breaks or summer breaks so it must mean ... the first midterms she has come across. And she asked s certain person what was coming up since everyone else seemed to know. This would mean that she has no idea of what she is about to have to do. And yet she still somehow found the time to become this powerful? Powerful enough to battle on par with the top dog of the school? That's just insane.

Second, I gave the character score a seven. But it could've been ten. They completely rushed the character development of Eruna and Seisa and Akama. To this day, I still have no idea whether Akama got over his past or not and is he still acting or not. And also, there were also plenty of great characters like Otone and "Enoyan" and Minatogawa. But they got very little screen time overall. The only reason they would appear was to drive the plot forward. We did not see them develop as a person at all. I would've given the anime a character score of 10 if they did not squish the series into 12 episodes and instead extended it into 24 episodes and actually added the finishing touches. But instead, they decided to rush the anime and leave everything half-done. Very disappointing. And Otone's character was introduced late even though she was kind of important to the anime. And her development came when everything else was being revealed.


I wouldn't recommend this anime but I would have to say that it was enjoyable. It was executed way too poorly to be called a good anime.

To anyone reading this;

Don't bother watching this. Unless you have way too much to spare or you have absolutely nothing else to watch. Then maybe you can think about giving this anime a shot. I haven't finished it so far but from what I have seen so far, this anime does not do a very good job.

First, the plot committed seppuku as soon as episode two started. All this shite about 'Time' and 'Time Energy'. Fine. I can accept that. Every anime needs some sort of fictional shite so that the anime can even get started. But then they introduce 'Degradation'? Like what? And then ... it's because the future will cease to exist and thus degradation occurs? How does that even connect? And then they say the (this is my favourite word because you know an anime is fucked when they say this word) timespace continuum is messed up so that's why the two worlds will connect and destroy with each other? The anime was trying to introduce an idea that was way too grand to begin with, and was trying to get the audience to understand what is currently happening in the space of two episodes? Not possible.

And the characters. Ughhh. The main protagonist is as main protagonisty as you can get. Which is alright. Lots of main characters are like that anyway. But he says "I don't mind being a sheep. I just hope I'm the fluffy one." in episode one. I don't even know what does that mean. And the red-haired guy has a personality that does not suit his looks at all. And the kid falls in love with the girl after one simple thing. And she's like 3/4? years older than him? Can't say I like these guys.

And also, apparently the TimeKeepers are here to save humanity by destroying one of the worlds so the other one lives. But the representative of the TimeKeepers are laughing as both worlds are destined to create DeadEnds that will consume their respective worlds. But wait, that's contradictory since they WANT to SAVE a world. But they also WANT to DESTROY both worlds?

And every goddamn episode, there are way too many things that happen and the audience are left with little to no time to digest all that has happened.

The anime overall was pretty enjoyable. I thought it was a worthwhile watch. But there were far too many flaws with this anime to make it a great one.

The story was pretty bad. It was grand from the start. But then towards the last few episodes, things started getting out of hand. It felt like the anime just had to end in a few more episodes so the developers thought that they had to rush a conclusive ending.

The characters themselves were pretty amazing, I have to say. Well, mainly Otosaka Yuu. He was the only interesting character. In the first four or five episodes, he ... is displayed as a cowardly guy, who cheats in exams to get good grades so people see him as some amazing person. He even forces a situation where he saves a girl he fancies. He starts changing a bit when he meets Nao and becomes more of your average good-guy protagonist. But in episodes eleven or twelve, when he is pressured to save two people by himself, you can see him revert back to his old self, saying things like how he can't do such an impossible thing all by himself. People may think that he is a such a bitch and that he should stop being such a pussy, but I think it was very well executed by Key. It is insanely difficult to try to change someone's behaviour in the space of twelve months. Yes, they will change a bit, but under times of extreme pressure and stress, they will cave in and show their true personality. But you can definitely see that Yuu has changed because he decides to save Nao (he doesn't really say that he will save Kamugami(?), only says Nao). But in episode two or three, as he is running from his pursuers, he leaves Kurobane(?).


Overall, the anime is pretty good, but it is a long shot from Key standards. I expected something more with the ending since Charlotte was produced by Key.
