Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi is arguably one of the most (if not the most) controversial anime this year, the most common complain is how they handle the female characters, many people probably already talked about that matter so I will talk about another problem.
Simply put, this is a revenge anime from start to finish as the author himself said that there's a trend of revenge-themed LN but the revenge ended early then become a OP-protagonist filled with harem story, then one would expect to get a great revenge anime, but no, you don't get that either, the build-up is weak and the anime just isn't
...
capable to convice me/invoke the feeling of "I need to do revenge", they just show you the protagonist get brutally sexually harassed and mistreated by his heroes peer and somehow I just don't get the desire of revenge.
The execution is just bad and protagonist is lacking depth, probably the LN is better at capturing Keyaru's mental state and what drive him to madness from a formerly kind and innocent boy. Keyaru in the anime just a simple psychotic antihero from my perspective.
I like to use Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari as an example of revenge anime, even though the revenge is only at the beginning, but you get the feeeling of anger and frustation from the protagonist, the viewers reaction speak by itself, you've probably heard or see someone saying "This Malty Melromarc is a bitch, I hate her". But have you see someone rant during anime discussion like "Hey, Flare is piece of sh*t I hate her so much", probably no, the anime failed to invoke such feeling toward the character.
Art-wise, it's enough, nothing special but nothing bad. sound (OP/ED theme) while it is not bad it just doesn't fit the anime.
My conclusion is it's fine to make a dedicated revenge-themed anime, but if you can't successfully provoke the viewers to relate with the revenge, then what's else left from it?

An attempt to be another Konosuba but failed to do so.
Problem 1:
Story becoming more and more rushed, each episode I checked and told myself "am I watching the right epsiode?" because they keep talking about sh*t that they skipped/never happened in the anime, like wtf dude?
Problem 2:
Character inconsistency, the art of Konosuba is the fine line between degenerate character and "deep down they actually good guy". This anime initially still maintaining good balance to that but throughout the episode they went to the fully degenerate side, Snow that despite love money still sometimes despise bad act like corrupt regime, trash politican etc, then later on
...
she's just let some prince from another country fondle her boobs just for "MONEEYY IS ALL I NEED" and lost depth to her character.
Early episode still let you have development between Agent Six and Grimm, how she gets mistreated, how Agent Six waits for Grimm to be revived and taking a stroll with her, etc. But they won't do something like this anymore, scrap it, and make her like simple brainless crazy witch.
Music is okay I guess, decent OPED. Art while nothing is standing out or anything still maintain some degree of standard. I'd give the earliest episode 7/10, but the latest episode (episode 8) that I've watched. I would give it 5/10, they can at least made somewhat decent seasonal anime but turned it to trash in the end.

Phew, I managed to finished until second season and I'm glad I did it. Second season bring the most out of 3D Kanojo, the drama and conflict become more substantial and impactful, the character getting more matured, the animation become more consistent.
I am glad they fixed how the story gives you conflict, it is more rewarding (and less upsetting) and I liked it, didn't expected I am gonna teared up watching this anime. The characters become more fleshed (the jerkness of some characters kinda go away), mature, and you just kind of respect them more. I am amazed how they become more careful handling the
...
characters development in this season.
The animation is still wonky at a times, but become more consistent and better.
I think this is a proper finale and overall improvement compared to previous season in every aspect, the ending is clear you don't need to worry about anything despite I am wanted to see more moment from Tsutsui-Igarashi in the last episode, but a happy ending really.
A solid 7 from me, definitely a good watch (if you can ignore a lots of thing from previous season and finish it until the second season ofc).

Disclaimer: If you decided to read this review, watch until the end.
Tl;dr: try to finish 2nd season, it is much better.
This is my second shoujo I watch this year as far as I remember, to be honest, I am not a fan of think genre, some of its cliche can be annoying and I'm gonna give you caution here, it does. I do respect something like Kimi ni Todoke tho.
Tsutsui-Igarashi combo is what makes this anime worthwhile, and while Igarashi that kind of girl y'know and not your kind-of-seiso (pure) girl, but if you can ignore that, she is rather sweet and respect Tsutsui a
...
lot, I give her that.
3D Kanojo had a potential to be honest, the drama and conflict sometimes turn out well but it is more often that they put it unnecessary and excessively, the one that turned out well is Tsutsui that slowly learn how to communicate better and learning his surrounding slowly, understanding Igarashi better and wanted to do his best for her, that's really the "fair enough" aspect this anime had. The bad things are some weird twist that author decided to use, lemme explain more...
*WARNING: SPOILER ALERT*
Like how everyone constantly hating Tsutsui, constant missunderstanding, weird love triangle, Iroha's brother that turned out not her blood-related brother, I mean, really? This kind of things surely what makes everyone (including me) getting pissed.
*SPOILER ENDS*
It really need to focus on Tsutsui-Igarashi interaction and little small things/moment more, it lacking that because those unnecessary conflict thay they decided to keep thow it at you for god sake, one problem still going and they just keep it throwing it at you, damn I wish I can breath for a while when watching this damnit.
Characters, some are good enough, some are utterly annoying as f*ck, even Miura Kento from Kimi ni Todoke isn't nowhere as bad as that, geez. Art can get wonky very often. OPED and BGM is average. Enjoyment gonna be at least fine if they don't do that dick move toward the end arghh my brain shrinking and my IQ getting down.
I give it a 5 and I think that's quite humble from me considering lots of thing I hate from this anime and honestly I want to give it lower, I still give it 5 because Tsutsui-Igarashi relationship actually decent enough, let's see if season 2 will improve this. I still give it a chance.
EDIT: I watched the second season and it is definitely a much better anime now and they fixed a lot of thing, the conflict become more substantial, animation become more consistent, and the series really matured.

I dunno about bunch of these negative reviews, I don't care anyway. I watch this without any expectation either, you might say, "Eeh, this is the shitty seasonal harem LN-adaptation again, right?" Well you're not too far off but not completely correct either.
This shows does have the cliche you have seen multiple times, harem, OP protagonist, isekai, et cetera, but, the way the shows present itself is really amusing and fun. Yes, "it's fun", at least for me.
The conversation between characters and perv girl remind me of Konosuba, the one that you thought friend actually betrays you and then you got time to show off
...
your skill remind me of Tate no Yuusha, the protagonist that acquire monster power by eating them remind me of Tensei Slime, the blood and killing that happens reminds me of somewhat toned down version of multiple hardcore isekai fantasy title out there. This shows doesn't do the best version of these multiple things that I mentioned, but it does a good job putting all of these together.
Yes, maybe I am biased because I am sucker for this genre, I don't want to think too much about story sometimes, and this genre is my go-to watch. But hey, time passed, nowadays, even it's hard for me to watch something like Absolute Duo, Hundred, Death March, Juuou Mujin Fafnir, you named it, I need to force myself to finish those title. BUT, Arifureta doesn't belong to that. I enjoyed Arifureta and this really says something about this show.
If you're like me, you wanted to relax and have high tolerance to this kind of LN-adapted show, give it a shot. I had so much fun watching this. Arifureta does wonders waking up that "12 years old edgy boy" inside you. Art can get wonky but fine most of the time, nothing special about the story, typical opening-ending song, but boyyy the enjoyment is damn high.
It's a solid 7 from me, definitely waiting for its second season. Hope this review give you another perspective compared to bandwagon hate toward Arifureta.

Nothing but respect to Sawako, she's a great female protagonist, while some part I do think is unnecessary and some "comfy" feelings of previous season kinda disappeared, it's all paid by its story development.
I'm not the biggest fan of this genre but it does exceeded my expectation and while it does have some shoujo cliche, Kimi ni Todoke also break a lot of its genre's cliche, it's because Sawako dan all of her friends I can continue watching this and I'm glad I did that. Some characters are super great while some can be obnoxious and annoying tho.
A proper finale for the story if you
...
think first season lacking sufficient development, IMO, probably you don't need to continue the manga if you already satisfied with this.

This anime doesn't even try to be proper slice of life but not progressing the plot enough either to cater as another genre, I'd describe it as having an identity crisis.
It's okay for its genre but damn I really expected more character development especially toward the end, I'd give it at least 7 if they managed to properly capture how they gonna manifest Red Promises and Erika - Kouhei relationship, but no...
I wished at least they did what Mashiro-iro Symphony managed to do, but they don't, hey Mashiro-iro isn't what I considered "good" either but at least they passed the grade.
All in all, if you
...
like this genre, just watch it if you don't have anything to watch, I do actually enjoy it a bit despite still getting salty with its approach.

I thought I am good with watching usual boring SOL-type anime, oh boy, this anime made me think I was wrong. This is way below my expectation, most of the characters are just... bland... like... seriously bland, it's like if you mute the audio, you can't figure out what they are like based on what they "DOING" and their "ACTIVITY", other characters had to explain certain character trait in order for you to know that. Yes, it is that bad.
Really... nothing special come from this anime even though they have a concept (foreign girls come to Japan) they don't really expand it and give taste
...
to it.
In slice-of-life anime, of course it has no significant plot, but at least they simply exist, like go swimming, study session, fishing, anything that normal human does, but this, they do have activities together, but nothing happened, fun conversation? No. Simply joking around? No. Character development? No. Arrrghhh.
Decent opening, ending, bgm, animation is also quite consistent and the artstyle is your usual SOL-type anime, nothing special here.
I needed more words to submit to review, but seriously, I can't think anything of it, it has nothing in it to the point I confused what to write, yes, you may realize that I just repeating the same point again and again just to reach words limit.

great cast of characters, you'd love most of them, but i will give one exception, chinatsu, so far from what I watch, this girl is just... wicked, she just pushed what she want to other, i will especially refer to episode 6, poor Akarin.
if you're like me, a slice-of-life heartwarming fans and tolerable to yuri, Yuru Yuri wasn't a bad show especially for yuri fans out there, except you hate "coercion" and "lack-of-consent" things, that's quite apparent from the show, which is a solely turn off for me, if you don't mind, the rest is fine, this is my current review and score for now.
*edit:
...
it got better after that (finished season 1)
*final edit after S3: guys, it's so fucking amazing, try to stick with it for little longer, dang i love it so much now. Chinatsu now becoming rather a sweet girl, i don't hate her anymore.
