While KareKano has much deeper character depth that will satisfy anime veterans, Sukitte iina yo is more on the cutesy side and brings nothing new, but it's fairly well exexuted, and felt good even for a veteran like me. Both do a rare feat in anime. Follow an actual developing relationship, and focus on the characters, instead of wasting the viewer's time with the same old "we love eachother and we know it but we need to make up crap to keep us appart or there's no plot".

You get the same kind of enjoyment. Though Ai Yori Aoshi has more character depth and a more serious tone to it. But it's also more rewarding, in that sense. Enjoy one and you're pretty much guaranteed to enjoy the other.

Both share the underwater factor but only Daybreak has mechas in it. Tactical Roar has better battles when it comes to underwater strategy whilst Daybreak gets more action with less brains required results. A bit lost between the mechas and the submarines. Tactical Roar has a bit of a more romance oriented plot along with a grand design for the world whilst Daybreak is more adventure oriented with it's bits of romance.

Both animes follow the relation between a human and a supernatural being. They're also both soft paced and leave a good felling afterwards. Both great to relax, smile and take a break from heavier animes.

Both KareKano and Hana Yori Dango focus mostly on the life of a group of high school students. UNLIKE ALL the general drama/comedy anime, in both Karekano and Hana Y Dango we are shown the troubles DURING the relationships, instead of watching a bunch of guys racing in circles troughout an ENTIRE season of episodes just so they can wind up the same as they started: STILL not dating, STILL no development, STILL chacing eachother! Both bring the feelings of the characters to us in a heartful way. It lets your heart into their. In both animes the main character is a simple girl with great character and charisma, with good principles. In both animes the main characters have hidden personalities that are slowly shown to us. In both animes, you feel like something sticked with you even after you're finished watching them.
