Not that quite of a spoiler, just an implication of what happens at the end - read at your own discretion.
If the last three chapters hadn't happened it would have been an 8.
I'm putting Mixed Feelings on this one, mainly because I would recommend it to people because the art is gorgeous and the story is good, if they would just literally ignore the last two or three chapters. I remember staying up until 3 am to read this and being so invested in the way the plot was developing so you can imagine my shock when I decided to finish it after a long
...
hiatus and a year pause of not reading straight romance and ending up with just another obsessive ml turned psychopath and fl that just continues her life whilst still not completely free, even though she doesn't realize it. The writer's decision crumpled the whole story, glow up and character arcs into a pile of mediocre twisted love ending which, in my humble opinion, was the last thing readers expected and needed from this story.
The whole plot turned unnecessarily vague and killed the love the main characters had for each other.

*Yes, there might be a slight future spoil in this*
Writing this review as a person who has waited for over a year for this adaptation, followed and read the original Korean manhwa during high school. I was so excited to see this getting a show because the story is good. Yes. It's the typical isekai, most people have already expressed in their reviews that they see nothing that original or creative about this setting because, let's face it, there are far too many works in this genre. As for Noah and Raeliana, they are just too perfect for each other and the way they grew
...
to like each other was really well-paced - the kind of slow burn that doesn't starve you from waiting. What is lovable about the characters, and more specifically, Raeliana, is how her "coming from the real world" vibe wasn't completely dismissed. She blends in with the story beautifully, but she also thinks and strategies to achieve it. I like the fact that Noah figures out Raeli isn't from this world further in the story. That's a detail that isn't usually included in such stories as the main heroine or hero just kind of morphs with the persona they have reincarnated to.
The opening and ending are really well done and have the potential to become one of my all-time faves.

There is still one episode of the donghua to be aired, but it wouldn't be necessary for me to watch in order to know what score I'll be giving.
First things first - Story: I'm reading the manhua simultaneously while watching and I can tell that the story is well followed and systematized so it will roughly cover the first 50 (55) chapters. There are some differences of course, but not it's not enough to bug anyone, though I wouldn't want to speak for others, but myself on this. It was pleasantly surprising that most of the skin ship scenes were not cut off or drastically changed
...
unlike in MDZS.
Art: 6.
Good. Good. Except for the major changes in character appearances....Literally changing from 7 to 6 while writing, because to be fair this DID bug me the most in the whole series. I don't think that's the best Chinese Animators can do.
Sound: 6.
Opening and Ending songs are really beautiful and nice to listen to. As for voice acting.....well, some of the were not matched well with the animation and it just seemed more like a fan dubbing rather than something that was done professionally. Other thing that didn't come out well in my opinion is the emotion. It's hard to guess when characters are angry or sad or confused if you're not watching excluding some scenes. But honestly, it's not just this donghua that has this problem. I've seen it in other Chinese productions as well.
Character: It was all. about. appearances. for. me. The grade is 5.
Such drastic changes especially in episodes 7, 8, 9. You'll be able to see what I'm talking about when you watch it. Also, for those who are reading this review ,have watched the donghua or are at least familiar with the manhua - did you think it was okay? Share your opinion. I'm curious.
Enjoyment: A stable 8. Nonetheless everything (pretty sure this grammatically incorrect, excuse my English), I really did enjoy the series as a whole. It's not the best in any case, but the story itself kept me glued to the screen and I've practically watched it in a day.
All in all, I would recommend for the manhua and novel to be read first. The donghua is more like a series to watch when you want to feast your eyes on rather good art or you want to kill time.
P.S. If there is a second season I'll be praying that the animation and voice acting is fixed. It would double the pleasure of watching it. Not all hope is lost.

I prayed so hard to that Darwin's Game wouldn't be like Ousama Game The Animation (because that anime is full of crap as I have stated in my review of it ) and I'm so glad it turned out to be better than what I expected at the beginning. It''s not the best anime I've ever seen, but it's not the worst either. I admit I was super skeptical at first when I read some reviews, but I was later proved wrong.
Now, I am too soft and can't seem to ever really and thoroughly dislike an anime (Ousama Game Excluded) and I can't say anything
...
bad about Darwin's Game. You need to forgive me if I am too generous in my rating.
The score says it all and to be honest I can't add anything much besides some important spoiler-free notes that you could into account if you plan to watch Darwin's Game:
!! This is my personal opinion, you don't have to agree with it nor absolutely trust it - everyone has their own vision of things after all !!
1. Although there are practically 11 episodes, there are actually 12 as the first episode is 47 minutes long.
2. There are some tiny plot holes that create confusion here and there.
3. At first some characters seem dumb, but with the anime progressing you realize they are actually smarter than they look. Also crazier.
4. It was satisfying to find out everyone had an ulterior motive for doing what he/she does.
5. The art can be better, but still has a unique side of it (you'll understand what I mean when Wang makes his debut.)
6. The opening and ending, especially the latter are very very good and match well to the plot.
7. It really really makes much more sense in plot than Ousama Game

A masterpiece 100/10 aka Trauma/10 *screams in multiple languages*
I have no words. Seriously. I don't know where to begin.
The voice acting was magnificent it really made me even more hooked to the story(was kinda mind-blown that almost 90% of the seiyuu cast were female)
Honestly I was mind blown during the whole thing.
THIS IS ONE TWISTED PLOT Y'ALL !!!!
BRACE YOURSELF FOR IT !!!
(highkey felt like an idiot because a bunch of 11 and 12 year old children are 10 times smarter than me and I dare to claim I am smart) honestly it was kinda depressing, but they are all cinnamon rolls and I am gonna
...
forgive them cause they deserve the world.
Probably an unpopular opinion BUT: SISTER KRONE DESERVED BETTER AND YOU CAN'T CHANGE MY OPINION (let's put aside the fact she was creepy af)
One of the best anime I have ever seen, period.
SIGN ME UP FOR SEASON 2

In short - I loved it.
I don't think there will be a second season although it would be nice if there is since I feel like the plot could have been developed more. I learned some things about mineralogy and gemstones thanks to Richard and overall don't regret watching this anime.
Seigi and Tanimoto are cinnamon rolls and deserve it all. I don't know if I ship them or if I ship Seigi x Richard. Both ships have a future in my opinion.
The opening and the ending songs are perfect. The melody is so peaceful and relaxing For the first time in awhile
...
I didn't skip them once.

The worst anime I've ever watched.
A complete waste of my time yet I still finished it (how and why is still beyond me)
The story is awful, there is no overall meaning just death, blood, screams and then it may come as surprise (oh wait it isn't)....DEATH.
The art was decent not the best, but decent I give it that.
I couldn't find myself sympathizing to any of the characters except for one little fella with four-legs that has approximately 5 seconds of screen time.
I should have put 1 on the enjoyment, but I suppose that the fact I finished it would mean something kept me in
...
front of the screen ( again it's beyond me why I lasted till the end).
I'll not comment on the end, because it had no value, no meaning and the last hint about continuation of the series made the last patience cells in my head explode. I remember slamming my laptop shut and spending 20 minutes reflecting on why I wasted two days of my life watching this.....s**t.
