This review is only based on the first 50 chapters. Although I gave it an overall score of 8, I may rise it if the quality of the manga keeps improving as it did. Also, I'll try to keep this review as spoiler free as I manage to, and I'm super sorry if you'll find any error, as English is not my native language.
So, what makes this manga really worth reading to me are characters and art. The two things are connected, as every single character is well drawn and, of course, many times the way a character is drawn in this manga gives hints
...
to what to expect from him in terms of characters or combat. Fightings are really important, one of the fundamental parts of this manga, and the author's attention to details is so high that every single fighting scene is clear, even where some strange powers are involved and he clearly doesnt want to let the reader understand too much about those.
The premise of the story is quite simple: some criminals, sentenced to death, are given a second chance to redeem themselves and become free. Each one of them will be followed by an executor, who'll kill them if they don't follow the rules or try to run away. The quest is to bring back the Elixir of Life from a mysterious island cloaked in mist, and anyone who manages to do so is free for the rest of their lives. The thing I like the most about how this premise develops, is that every single character has some reason to go to that island, and if they don't have one the author soon finds a way to give them one. Something I don't really like are the big evil enemies, who as of chapter fifty seem put there only to provide us some good fights and to explain the powers surrounding everyone on that island. They don't seem to have a good personality and/or some reasons do whatever they're doing other than gaining power or achieving eternal life.
Another thing I don't really like is world building: the island looks as mysterious as vague, the author did not manage as of now to give it some consistency, meaning that it looks more like a floathing thing made of nothing and out of nowhere, and not an exact place in which the story is taking place.
Every other aspect of this manga is awesome, and although it has some minor flaws I expect it to really improve over time and become a super good reading for everyone who likes this kind of stuff (it already is!).

This review may contain some spoilers. Also, sorry if you'll find any mistake, as English is not my native language.
So, after watching Fate/stay night (2006) and Unlimited Blade Works I've tried to watch (and enjoy) Fate/Apocrypha, or as I like to call it, Earrape: The Animation. I don't think this anime is a complete mess as other reviews may tell you, but I still think it tries too hard to be enjoyable, and fails miserably. The story itself is bland and doesn't even try to explain or deepen the few good ideas that were shown. The villain is super boring, with his purpose to
...
"save humanity" in a way that's not even intelligent or memorable. The only characters that I liked (Kairi and Mordred) die miserably after shifting from main characters to unknown sidekicks. The whole anime seems based on Sieg's (the protagonist) development, although its non existant until the very last episodes.
The only things I liked from Earrape: The Animation were the sound effects (every fight was so filled with earrape sounds to be somehow enjoyable). Also some fights were good looking, such as Karna vs Sieg. Overall tho if you don't like earrape sound there's really no need to waste 25 episodes of your time, I'd recommend you to watch other stuff.
Again, sorry for the bad english and for the messy review.

The story is quite simple, poor, with not-so-deep characters and a predictable course of events. But that's not the point here.
The overall premise of this anime is to amaze you with amazing fights, with a badass style and great soundtracks, not with a great storyline and deep quotes.
Afro Samurai is a 5 episode anime, produced by Studio Gonzo, with the collaboration of Samuel L. Jackson and OSTs by Wu-Tang Clan.
Story 6/10
I gave the story this score because it's really a poorly made story. It deals with a boy (Afro) who watched his father die. His father possessed the "Number One" headband, that it was
...
said it could grant godlike powers. The only way to obtain the "Number One" headband, is to defeat the wearer in a battle. However, the only one who can fight the Number 1 and claim his headband is the Number 2. Everyone can fight the Number 2, and after growing up, Afro is the current wearer of that headband. His only will is to defeat the one who killed his father. He's acting for revenge.
The story is quite simple, but as I said, you shouldnt watch this anime for his story.
Art 9/10
If with "Art" you mean also the animations, then my score should be 10/10. Drawings really are amazing, starting from the main character's style and ending with every single enemy.
Animations are next level, never seen such beautiful fighting scenes, the beauty behind every single hit is overwhelming.
Sound 9/10
Not only the osts fit perfectly with the anime style and fighting scenes, but also the sound fx were truly accurate.
Characters 7/10
Character's personalities aren't really original, i gave them 7 out of 10 because their desing were unique enough to let me love one of two of them (Jinno <3 )
Enjoyment 10/10
Although the story wasn't nothing great and character's personalities weren't nothing special, this anime managed to enjoy me a lot. The amazing combat scenes, the gory yet beautiful art style, the perfect OSTs, all of those features managed to let me love this 5 episodes anime, and give it an overall score of 9/10.
So, if you wanna see amazing and well-done fights, and you can get over the plot, then you should definitely give this anime a try.
As usual, English isn't my native language so sorry if you found any error.

ALERT: The following review may contain SPOILERS.
Also, english is not my native language, so I'm really sorry if you'll find any error.
Story 8/10
The story is great. There's no other word to define that. It deals with a bullied boy, who after seeing his new english teacher beating up a couple of gangsters, decided to make him his new martial arts master, no matter if the teacher doesnt want to.
He will get rapidly involved with the "Murim", the martial arts world, that's not so kind, specially with Chun-Woo, the teacher, who's actually the "Nine arts dragon", one of the stronger, if not the strongest of them
...
all.
The premise is really simple, but it's told in such an effective way, and becomes so much complicated... Despite all, the story is certainly the weakest part of this manwha. Do not misunderstand, it really is great, but from the beginning to the very end, it seems like a great prologue for the next part: The Breaker New Waves, although I havent read it yet. The way the manwha proceeds, the way it ends, all seems to let you think that that's not the end, that's only the beginning, and what will happen next is actually the main plot. And at the end of the manwha, I wasnt fully satisfied..
Art 10/10
Never seen such beautiful pages, such amazing splash arts... The artist is a prodigy. The fighting scenes were so good, I wanted more and more of them, they did never bore me. This is absolutely the strongest point of the manwha.
Characters 9/10
Uhm... I don't really know how to say that, but this is the first manga in which I couldn't find a single annoying character. They were all fun, even if they were depressed (like the main protagonist in the first 10/20 chapters), or weak (like Soseol), they all managed to amaze me and, like the drawings, they did never bore me.
Enjoyment 9/10
As I said, the fighting scenes were next level, but that's not the only reason why I gave 9 out of 10 to "Enjoyment". This manga was actually quite funny. The jokes or funny moments were never put in wrong places, they were actually fun and managed to break the monotony of that scene or that situation.
A character also broke the fourth wall!
"Hey calm down! We're here at the ocean and should be having fun. And the authors even made the effort to use color pages for fan service..."
"Dammit. What's with the sudden ocean thing? I understand we've been starving for color pages, but..."
Overall 9/10
I really, really, really wanted to give this manwha 10/10, but the constant prologue feeling didn't let me do so. This had the potential to become the greatest manga/manwha I've ever read, but it didnt manage to do so. I'm hoping that if the writer's purpose was really to write a prologue, "The Breaker: New Waves" will be able to meet my expectations.

Absolutely one of the best manga I ever read. It has everything you need: great plot, a lot of character differentiation, even more deeper analysis of the main characters than the first manga and a lot of plot twists.
Plot (it can contain SPOILERS from the first manga): after the end of Tokyo Ghoul, the manga starts focusing on CCG, in particular Haise Sasaki, supervisor of the Quinx, the newest addition to the CCG's arsenal. These are teens with Ghoul implants, quite the same as Kaneki but "perfected", and used to counter ghouls. Starting from here, the mangaka managed to answer alot questions but open new
...
holes in the "big picture", holes full of suspance and hype.
At the moment, chapter 92 is the last that came out, but also with this small number of chapters I can easily say that this manga satisfied me so much, that I decided to give it 9/10.
If you liked the first manga, you will like this more, its a whole new level of hype and psychological drama, of amazing fights and new great characters.
Also, you will likely reconsider one of two characters descripted previously.
P.S. I'm italian, so sorry if you read any language error. I tried to make this short and enthusiastic review as understandable as I could.
