Initial D is by far one of the most iconic racing anime ever made, spawning in several memes, and even making the cover car's price increase, known by some as the Takumi tax or the Tofu Tax.
Story
Initial D's story is somewhat unique compared to other racing anime. Initial D follows the life of Takumi Fujiwara, a high school boy who, during the night, does tofu deliveries in a Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 driving along Mt. Haruna (Akina in the anime), drifting up and down the mountain, unknowingly being the best driver on Akina.
The show went at an easy pace, and also had a
...
good balance between being a slice of life anime and a racing anime.
Art
I enjoyed Initial D's art style. While I'm not usually fond of some 90's art styles, Initial D's was pretty well done. The usage of CGI in the racing scenes really caught my interests.
Sound
The amount of memes that were created because of Initial D's soundtrack are insane. Initial D uses Eurobeat, a style of European dance music that became popular in the 1980s. If you're a meme follower, and have heard of "Running in the 90s" and "Deja Vu", they are used in this anime.
Character
While some would find Takumi's character a bit bland, I personally liked his mostly calm and easy-going attitude. He wasn't an overly cocky protagonist, nor was he a cowardly protagonist.
As for the other characters, some had the struggles of a job and money. Only a few characters in the series seemed like geniune assholes, but they mostly change their attitude a little bit later on.
Enjoyment
I personally enjoyed Initial D because of the music and characters. Outside of anime, I'm a car guy, so that's another reason why I enjoyed it, and it had educated me more on the Japanese racing scene; it had even helped me learn a little bit about the cars themselves.
If you're not a fan of racing, you will not enjoy this anime. If you do like racing, good music, and good CGI, I think you'll enjoy this classic.

InuYasha is the longest manga I've read as of posting this review. Originally, I thought I wouldn't be able to finish this, simply because it was around 20x longer than the first manga I read. Well, past me, you'd be surprised.
Story
While reading it, I made predictions, which as I read, seemed as if my predictions would be correct, but said predictions would later prove to be incorrect. These predictions would be one of the reasons I kept reading; the other reason being the story, which was pretty simple to understand.
Art
Rumiko Takahashi's art style has always been unique, and it's no different for Inuyasha. Throughout the
...
manga, I didn't notice a drop in quality in terms of artwork; around 2004, the art quality began to increase noticeably.
Character
This is another driving point behind why I liked InuYasha. There were sections throughout the manga where weaker characters would get the spotlight and a time to shine in battle; while there were a few of these, it showed Takahashi didn't just care for the stronger characters.
The characters themselves, were not poorly written. The characters went through what I'd say is some great character development, growing both in terms of power and mentally. The perverted characters had their scenes here and there, but it wasn't a lot to the point of being annoying.
Enjoyment
I enjoyed InuYasha quite a bit. Had it not been for the well-written characters and unique art style, I likely wouldn't have finished it, and this review wouldn't be here today.
I recommend this to those who like the isekai genre (technically an isekai) and those who are looking for a manga to start with. While it is a long manga like I've stated multiple times, the characters, art style, and plot will keep you reading.

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS LIGHT SPOILERS FOR NICHIJOU! SKIP IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When you mention comedy, you likely don't expect something as simple as losing a shoe or getting on an elevator make you laugh. That's Nichijou; where the simplest, and sometimes most absurd moments can make you laugh.
Nichijou, despite what my bio says, is by far one of my favorite, if not most favorite anime in general and of the comedy genre.
In my opinion, Nichijou is one of Kyoto's most underrated works. When I mention Kyoto Animation, the anime that people most often mention are Lucky Star, Chuunibyou, Haruhi Suzumiya, and
...
Dragon Maid. Nichijou simply isn't mentioned a lot.
Nichijou follows the daily lives of a trio of friends, each funny in their own ways, and a plethora of other characters which I will not spoil for you. Each of these characters tackles their own problems in a comedic way.
The art style of Nichijou is quite interesting. The style of birds, specifically, are drawn in a simple style, compared to the setting of each scene, which is usually drawn in a beautiful art style.
The music of Nichijou is well chosen. With some of the more intense moments, I felt like I was going to burst out in laughter, but at the same time, was at the edge of my seat, if that makes any sense.
Overall, Nichijou is a very enjoyable anime. It might not appeal to some because some of the characters CAN be obnoxious at times, and due to its absurd humor; then again, as the saying goes: humor is subjective.

| This is my first review on MyAnimeList, so please bear this may not be perfect |
| MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS |
Elfen Lied was the first horror anime I watched, and all I have to say is: it's pretty damn good.
This anime is not for those who cannot handle blood, gore, and some pretty touchy subjects. So, if you can't handle people having their limbs getting ripped off and other situations I will not get into due to spoilers, this anime may not be for you.
The plot of Elfen Lied is certainly well written to say the least. While watching, I noticed a few types of
...
emotions constantly with some of the characters: hatred and guilt.
The art style is one of the best I've seen in any anime so far. That's it.
The opening to Elfen Lied, Lilium, gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. Perhaps it's because of it being sung in Latin, the instruments used, or both.
The characters in Elfen Lied are pretty well written. Almost every character's gone through a lot of pain in their lives; only a few haven't gone through as much pain as the others.
Overall, Elfen Lied was a good first time horror anime for me. Elfen Lied geniunely had nervous at times.
