TOG is one of my favorite manhwa, and the S1 was good, the visual style was unique, the animation was good but not outstanding.
And after years of wait we get S2 of TOG and at the first moment of EP1 I can already see the most generic visual style. The animation quality is also bad, like PowerPoint presentations. TOG deserves a big studio like Bones, Madhouse etc even mid-size studios would have been great, instead the producers decided to give this project to this no name Answer studio who has not done any major projects. In EP3 & 4 the number of super closeup shots ... were literally unbearable. I think even previous studio Telecom Animation would have done a much better job than this. What bugs me the most is that most mid manhwa like SL getting super animation and budget and TOG is getting pennies.

Don't know how will future episodes look, but as an avid TOG manhwa lover I will watch through remaining episodes, and only hope that future arcs like Hell train arc, Floor of Death arc get the type of budget and animation they deserve.

EDIT: Looks like I was bit too much optimistic, I am currently in episode 8, and the animation quality has dropped significantly more, as if it was not already bad enough. And we probably also will get core-2 from this studio. This adaptation so horrid that it spits in the face of author SIU and the fans. Fuck you answer studio for ruining TOG

Another Disaster from Studio ENGI & Kadokawa.
The anime is extremely rushed, they skipped whole chapters from the LN. The first few chapters are very important for world building and setting up character dynamics, but they are just skipping these parts for no reason. This is exactly the main problem with this anime.
The animation is also not that good, this is just Kadokawa's usual LN Advertisement, which probably will not get a Season 2. Seriously, the LN of this has actual story, good plot and character development.
They also did the same with Trapped in a Dating Sim, they skipped so many elements ... from the LN, although still the anime was better than this one.
If anyone is interested in this story please read the LN It's much better.

I got to know about this anime because of the hype and that it had a 30-year-old MC. And i liked the first two episodes, but everything turned upside down from episode 3, Kafka is just another cringe shōnen protagonist who just yells.
The comedy is just not landing for me. And Why should he care that the exam is fair or not? He should know his situation that he failed who knows how many times in this exam, the reluctance of the MC makes very little sense apart if he is wary of his powers (which would make sense but is not really shown with ... his goofing around).

The only thing good about this show is that the OP & ED for this show is good and unique, and Production IG has done a good job at animating.
Dropping this because the Comedy does not land to me, the MC just ridicules himself over and over in the name of comedy which is just unbearable for me. I could have enjoyed this if I was younger.
