Magi no Okurimono

Both of these series are short and at parts tragic manga that deal with the death of someone close. Shinigami no Ballad has multiple shorter stories while Magi no Okurimono is one longer story. In both these works there is also a touch of the supernatural that affects the griefing of the characters. If the mood you are in requires a story like this, these are both a very good choice.

Tokumu Houkoukan Yumihari

On the surface these two series are quite different, but without spoiling the plot they use an oddly similar way of connecting the time periods. While Blue hole is set in a world with dinosaurs, Yumihari is not and is instead set in a more historical/fantasy world. It does have the navy dealing with these unfamiliar worlds in both though, and both manga are Seinen manga that i enjoyed in a similar way. Give them a shot if you feel like it.

The main similarity between these manga i found was the friendship between the main girl and guy. In both series, the guy takes care of the girl in a parent like way and the girl is a bit eccentric and very small. However, the series differ in the rest of the cast, the type of humour and even the personalities of the main characters. Nonetheless, both of these series follow a group of friends in high school with a comedic focus, with some romantic elements sprinkeld in. Therefore, if you liked one i could probably recommend you the other.

For me these manga both create scenarios for the main character that envoke the same feelings. Both manga are works by authors that have been in the manga business for a long time and have created very good prior works. Therefore the quality of characters and location in both is quite strong. Both series see the MC go to a unfamiliar location and meeting a younger girl which they continue to live with. Generally though, for me both these series are fun and relaxing with good characters.

While these manga are very different at first glance, there are a lot of similarities that will make someone get the same enjoyment value out of these. Hatarakanai Futari has shorter chapters with an overall higher focus on comedy, additionally it takes a few volumes to get going. Furthermore, the main characters are neets, which may initially turn some people off. In contrast to this, Hirayasumi starts of strong and remains strong in its storytelling. The similarities between both series are a strong focus on family, friends and the enjoyment of the mundane and regular. Both series have characters from all age groups, like students, young adults, parents and the elderly. They both focus on friendship and both arent afraid to be very funny. Both series have very wholesome moments and i recommend both greatly

Both stories feature a corporate slave, someone who works for a black company that overworks it's employees. Both are a very enjoyable and funny read that i recommend checking out

Both these anime focus on the supernatural and japanese folklore and feature 2 siblings where the youngest sibling gets easily possessed by said supernatural elements. Mokke features 2 sisters and has more focus on mysterious unknown spirits, while Wagaya no Oinari-sama features 2 brothers and has a more action focus for the supernatural. While there is more action and some longer plotlines in wagaya no oinari-sama than in mokke, both of these series feature an enjoyable cast, japanese folklore and good slice of life segments.

There are a number of similarities between these two stories. First of all, both stories feature a young girl of around the same age that find a "critter" with special powers. If you are familiar with one of the two stories, you can kinda know what to expect from the other, as there are comparable story beats between the two. Nonetheless there are enough distinctions that it makes both enjoyable in their own way. I recommend these in case you're in the mood for another one of these kid with a big dangerous secret stories.

Both manga have a similair premise, a runaway highschool girl and someone who takes her in. Nora to Zassou is relatively more grim and serious, with a more realistic plot. Hige wo Soru is a little more light hearted and feels more "anime". However, i recommend both if you're interested in this type of plot

I found the characters of Hina and Natsumi in Houkago similair to Aoi and Hinata of Yama no susume. Both series also have a relaxed setting.

Both series are about a "robot" like girl in an apocalyptic setting. Although i would rather use the term post modern civilization or something, because the world in both is not bleak or a wasteland but rather more a nature growing back kinda deal. Both series are slice of life and have their own share of mysteries. There is also a fair bit of traveling in both series, so if you enjoy that aspect it's there too. I think if you like one of these you'll probably also like the other.
