Shoot! Fight with your teammates EVERY. DAMN. EPISODE. to the Future!!
That's the new name for this anime. This show is so ridiculous its laughable. I would literally be cracking up each episode by how dramatic and over the top it was. There is ZERO character/team building because the characters fight EVERY SINGLE EPISODE. I swear there was not one episode where the red head guy didn't try to fight someone, or the other characters were starting drama. It didn't even feel like a sports anime anymore, it felt like a drama romance.
The lead guy is so bland and they act like he's soooo good
...
at soccer, but he does nothing stand outish during games. All the red head guy does is scream, like he literally has no brain cells. He just tries to scream and fight people. The upperclassmen are so petty and childish, there were multiple episodes of the other teammates BEGGING them to rejoin the team and they were starting drama all because they didn't get the starting positions. The boy with the glasses and grey hair has a weird hidden crush on his pal with the red hair and I hate this because it's forced BL that makes no sense. The coach is cringy and acts like he's the shit but he barely helps the team. I swear this show is an entire melodrama I'm laughing just writing this review, thinking about how every single episode there are several fights. I love the cliche sports anime where there's drama on the team and the players have to learn how to team build, but even after the spa episode they STILL were fighting every episode, at one point I would just start rolling my eyes when a player would start yelling or creating drama within the school.
There is barely talk about soccer, just some shitty game play segments with horrible animation. I'm not one to be picky on animation, but this animation was so bad. There were literally scenes where the characters would be frozen in place for several minutes and they would make the wind look like it was moving to create the effect of running, but it looked so bad.
The characters are the worst thing about this show though. They all mean, bland, pretentious and some aggressive. The cliches done in this show are not done well, it's so cringy. This is a show to watch and make fun of when you're bored.

Boring characters, repetitive dialogue, creepy incest scene.
I marked this show as mixed feelings because the first 5-6 episodes weren't bad. I wasn't too into the characters; I feel like the MC was very basic and quiet. The blonde captain had a decent story line, which plummeted. And all the other characters are just there. I liked the fight scenes and was interested in figuring out how the East and West would come together, but I started noticing the plot and dialogue was so repetitive. They kept mentioning the west and how big this war was - but all you saw was them fight the
...
alien BETAs and nothing else. They would just fight and talk about how bad it was. Like where is the plot? Where is this going? Is there more than just these battle scenes and repetitive comments about the east and west and spies and BETAS?
I was going to complete the show, because in the first half I had it rated at a solid 7, but I dropped it as soon as they did the incest scene. The MCs long lost sister comes and joins his squad and everyone on the team thinks she's a spy for the enemy. Well, the team confronts her, and she runs off upset, her brother finds her and there she is naked in her room, saying "brother, take me"... So, I watched half of the next episode because - ew yes, she's weird, her brother OBVIOUSLY will turn her down, shake her, call her crazy.
Nope, he bangs her. SO freaking nasty. They don't show it, but in the beginning of the next episode it's basically mentioned. He says, "she loves me so I have to gain her trust, which is why I started a relationship with her" Um, what?? Yeah, so MC is a creep who banged his sister and this show went downhill. I couldn't even keep watching after that. Yes, she is his adoptive sister, but they were raised together since they were children. It's weird and gross.
I don't recommend this. But you can watch it if you can get past the fact that the MC sleeps with his sister. wtf?

Refreshing, refreshing, refreshing!! Netflix did such a good job!! I was skeptical when starting this show, because a lot of anime Netflix has made has not been the best. But I enjoyed Kotaro Lives Alone and Komi Can't Communicate, so I gave this a chance! This show was so enjoyable, and the animation was really good in my opinion! I love how there wasn't any overload of fanservice, that's fine if you want that in a show, but sometimes it's nice to watch a rom com that isn't ecchi, and this one was perfect.
I feel like it's hard to find harem-themed lead lady romance
...
anime that are a great watch, but this show was really good! It does have tropes that are commonly used, but it does not feel aggravating or forced. It is pretty much considered a harem (even though I would say it's more so a love triangle) but the show actually focuses more on the character development with the characters as friends than the actual harem itself.
The MC is great. She's an "anti-heroine", so not your typical girl you would see leading a romance anime. She's smart, funny, and she does not care about the attention of boys, which is so refreshing. She cares more about her friends, gaming and her cat. Hence the title "romantic killer". The storyline is also very clever, there's a magic entity which shows up in the MC's life and forces her into this dating simulation style life, which the MC is completely against. So, essentially the show starts out with the MC trying to ruin the romance she is being set up into, but then it turns into a wholesome story about friendship and love. There's also drama towards the end of the show which was great.
The boys in the show are great characters too. It's pretty obvious who has the highest chance of the MC falling for them and he's obviously the best boy! *cough* Tsukasa *cough*. Riri the magic entity is sooo funny and I loved the dynamic between Riri and our MC Anzu. There's drama, comedy, romance and the show actually hits deep topics as well (like sexual assault and our society's obsession which good looks). I don't want to give too much away, so I just think you should watch this if you like rom coms!
I also wrote a review because there potentially will be a season 2, which is hinted at the end, and hopefully if the show gets good enough ratings Netflix will do a season two!

I'm writing a review for this show because it deserves WAY MORE HYPE!! It's crazy to me how I found out about this show by doing a deep search on Google when looking for a new sports anime to watch while waiting for Blue Lock. This definitely can be considered a top 10 sports anime (just from the ones I've seen, like Haikyuu, Free, Bakuten!, Kuroko's Basketball, Run with the Wind, Sk8 Infinity, etc.)
I loved this show sooo much! I'll start by addressing what people may consider negative first. Yes, it may have a lot of typical sports anime tropes, but that's what makes this
...
show so fun and special in my opinion! It handles the tropes so well, and is that not the reason why we love sports anime? The skillful quiet character, the third-year leader, the journey the team goes through while team building, it's great. Days is a 10/10 because it keeps you interested the entire time. I never got bored or uninterested, I actually binged it in a few days.
The characters are what make this show so pleasant to watch. There was not one character that I did not like. The MCs - I loved Kazuma, the insanely good first-year star player who was quiet and cool, yet surprisingly really funny. and Tsukushi - the sweet and innocent beginner who found his love for soccer through his new friend Kazuma (can I just mention I loved their friendship, it actually felt authentic which is hard for some sports anime to pull off). The only major con I had for this show was I felt Tsukushi's growth was very slow, but at the same time it felt natural? When you think about it, a first year who's never played soccer isn't just going to come out and be a star. So, while some may criticize our MC for not being the best player, which I can understand, I thought it worked with the storyline. Tsukushi's struggle to learn soccer allowed us to really enjoy other characters outside of the MC, which I thought made the show more complex in a good way.
Characters like Kimishita, Mizuki, Usui, Ooshiba, Kurusu, Ubukata were all so great. Even the coach and other rival teams were great and essential to the plot. I just really enjoyed this anime. It was also very hilarious; I loved the team bonding episodes and the humor never felt forced. I just wish we got more than 24 episodes; I really do. MAPPA did a great job animating the soccer matches in my opinion and the flow of the storyline goes smoothly. There are some things that occurred that I wish were explained more with certain characters personal lives, but again because there's only one season, I'm fine with it.
Give this show a watch!! You will not regret it! It's funny, entertaining, and you'll find yourself really liking the characters as well :)

This season was such a disappointment. As someone who was pretty engaged in the first season (even though I scored the first season a low 7/10), the first season did a good job of keeping an air of mystery surrounding where the plot could go and also certain main characters (Ayanokouji, Horikita, the school president, the teacher, class C and A students, etc.) which is why I decided to watch season two.
To start, the first season was a tad bit confusing (I guess a lot was left out from the novel), but it was explained JUST well enough to keep me interested in following
...
the theme of classroom of the elite: Make it to Class A. Which is the main motivation for MCs Horikita and Ayanokouji. The thrill of this theme while they compete in exams while battling other classes is a great plot, but this show could've definitely explored the "psychological" aspect more. I ignored the vague plot points and annoying fan service of S1 for the sake of the storyline. The best thing about season one is the deserted island special exam. We get to see important characters in action, giving us hope for the next season as it is believed the show WOULD explore each of these characters more.
Season two begins where the island exam ends. Holy crap, this was such a letdown. From the amount of hype it got, I expected the storyline to be wayyyy more detailed and intriguing because the way season 1 ends off, it feels like things are just getting started for character development. But nope - instead we get a season full of irrelevant characters and bland storylines. Which is why I rated this a six, I was going to give it a 5, but I was being nice.
I will focus more on the characters because the plot is so nonexistent it feels like its dragging. For example, the first exam of this season is the cruise exam with the planets. To sum it up, the goal of the exam was for each planet team to guess who their teams VIP was to earn points, each team would engage in dialogue to figure this out. Obviously, this is classroom of the elite, so loopholes will occur. But nothing happens during this exam. LITERALLY NOTHING. These types of shows usually allow the viewer to go along and get some sort of idea of how the strategy will go, even if you are blindsided in the end - but nothing. (Tomodachi game does a good job of allowing you to follow along with its psychological aspect, even if it blindsides you in the end which is the POINT - to add to the thrill). Some students from class A don't even participate and all we have is the blonde girl from class B leading empty discussions that we don't even hear. Then during this entire exam, they highlight the hell out of this bullying storyline to introduce the blandest character ever: Karuizawa (Class D's leader Hirata's girlfriend). I'm sure in the novel there is a point to these scenes but based on how they are portrayed in the anime it is wayyy to vague. The bullying scenes feel so random and out of place??
Another disappointment from this season is our MC - Ayanokouji. He had sooo much promise. In season one they left you wanting to see him more in action. We knew he is a type of mastermind to work behind the scenes, but I think the show takes BEHIND THE SCENES to a new level. We see him do BARELY anything. So, once the exams are over and he (once again) was the culprit to Class Ds victory or growth, it makes no sense or is a stretchhhh. Ayanokouji in S1 was interesting, in this season he is just boring. It's one of those situations that just drag and drag and then BOOM he works wonders, and you wonder if he really is this big mastermind or if the people surrounding him are just idiots. There is NO competition (from what I've seen in class D, or C, and maybe even including B. Class A is the only class that is interesting). The ONLY character who kept me engaged and was slight competition was Class C's Ryuen. Ryuen MADE this season bearable. He was super interesting and wicked. He was my main motivation for finishing this season. He honestly saved me from dropping it halfway through.
Some honorable mentions that I thought would be interesting this season, but literally showed NO importance were Class D's leader Hirata, the blonde buff guy Rokusuke, and Class B's leader Ichinose. They had so much potential, but this show failed them.
I will touch on Kushida quickly because I think she is so irrelevant. I thought they would expand on her more, but we actually see less of her until the end. The only thing going for her was her hatred for Horikita, but even when her personality is brought to the light it's MEH. Other than that, she is literally there for fan service. Also, the Sakura girl is so pointless its laughable. She literally was barely in this season; I honestly feel like they just wanted another cute girl with big tits who crushes on the MC. She's just so random, just like a lot of characters in this anime.
Now, to Horikita. They did her so dirty this season. In S1 I sort of saw her as someone who could potentially be up there in thinking with Ayanokouji (even though we know he is out of everyone's league) but she barely grows as a character. Instead, everything that happens in Class D's favor is because of Ayanokouji. For someone who wants to go to Class A and prove her brother wrong, the show does a horrible job at showing her worth a lot of the times. In S1 she was way more strategic, but I feel like they purposely dummed her down?? That goes back to my point where I said Ayanokouji literally has ZERO competition. The only person who gave him a run for this money was Ryuen.
I also want to touch on the fan service and harem elements. The fan service wasn't as bad this season - thank god, but the show plays at harem elements for Ayanokouji which make no sense to me. He doesn't even talk to the random girls who like him enough for them to be blushing at or crushing on him? I swear anytime he looks at a girl or helps a girl in a situation its implied they like him?? At least in actual harem shows there's usually a reason or build up to why said girls like the MC. Also, majority of the boys in the show are weird perverts - who are just there to fill space - and only care about dating/flirting with certain girls in the class. Just like multiple things in this show, this is pointless.
To sum it up, after about 5 episodes in I literally kept watching as background or while I was multitasking. It was extremely disappointing because S1 left enough promise for them to do great things this season. I saw they are doing a S3, but I honestly won't tune in. If I do force myself, it would only be to see if they ever get to Class A, other than that this season left a bad taste in my mouth which isn't good because the first season wasn't the best.
You should watch this if you're interested in psychological shows, but this anime tries too hard to be psychological and it comes across forced. Some like this show, others don't. I think because it started off so rocky and the characters are so bland I consider this mediocre at best.

This show is alright if you like sports anime. It's definitely not in my top sports anime when compared to shows like Run with the Wind, Haikyuu, Free or Kuroko's Basketball, but for a show about soccer it does a great job keeping the viewer interested. If you love soccer or sports anime in general, this will be a decent watch for you. The show deeply focuses on the concept of soccer, which I thought made it decent because for someone who doesn't know much about soccer it helps you understand positions and gameplay.
The reason I gave this show a 7 and not an
...
8 or higher is because the MC (in my opinion) was really annoying to me. I did not root for him AT ALL. I just felt like all he did was whine and act like a child, sometimes it felt a little unrealistic because in the real world he would've gotten benched for being selfish the way he did in the entire first part of the show. I found myself rooting for side characters more than the MC. I was really interested in Coach Fukuda's story and other characters like Kanpei, Jun, Tachibana, Yuma, Nagisa, and the star player Kuribayashi. The MC definitely grew on me in the second half of the show, but I honestly didn't care for him. He was so bland to me. The reason this show is good is because you want to see if the characters get to their goal, so once you start it you kind of want to finish.
Another thing that didn't sit right with me and took away from this being highly enjoyable was that the only girl characters that were all introduced served no great purpose other than their RANDOM crushes on the MC. The MC didn't even speak to one of the girl's enough for her to even establish a crush. It made zero sense. I had to remind myself this is anime, and these tropes are common, but it was distasteful to me how the bland MC randomly had a few girls crushing on him. The only girl that kinda made sense was Hana. I liked Hana, but again other than her liking the MC and being Fukuda's sister, she served 0 purpose. I liked how she was sort of an aspiring sports nutritionist - but she didn't even manage the entire team she would only randomly meal prep for the MC, so what was the point of her character? I even laughed when she practically asked the MC for permission to meal prep for Kuribayashi - like girl what? What is your purpose then if you aren't going to provide help to more players? When you watch a sports anime, it usually is mainly male characters, but at least in shows like Haikyuu or Kuroko's basketball, the female characters served purpose by being a manager and/or coach for the entire team.
Lastly, I liked how the show made you feel like the characters were growing. They didn't start out amazing, they had to work up to it. I think the art style is nice, and the storyline isn't tough to follow. I recommend this for anyone who wants a sports anime to watch while they're bored, but honestly if they made a season 2 I probably wouldn't watch.

I really enjoy this show, this season was pretty good, but it didn't meet the same expectations as S1 and S2, which is why I rated it at an 8.
Season 1 was my favorite. It starts the journey showing Myne inhabit a new body and have to learn about the new world around her. As a book lover myself, when Myne discovers this new world does not have access to reading material like our new age world does I was very interested to see how she would bring her book love to life. Season 1 introduces you to her family, her friend Lutz, the
...
amazing amazing Benno, Otto who teaches her writing and math skills, among others. This season is the best because it shows all the inventions Myne begins to create with her friends and also shows you that this world has magic. It does a great job of world building and getting you connected to the characters.
Season 2 was a great follow up. It delves deeper into Myne's magic which has to be controlled by magic items, which causes her to have to work in the church. You are introduced to several new characters, one of them being Ferdinand. Ferdinand grew on me slowly, he starts off very cold, so I did not know how I felt about his character. As the season goes on, I start to value his importance as a character as the show gets deeper into magic, nobles and the safety of Myne. This season does some foreshadowing that Myne will have to potentially be adopted by a noble.
Season 3 fell short for me. I still enjoyed watching it because I am interested in following Myne's journey, but the focus of this season was not that special to me. The season also focuses a lot on Myne's assistants, especially Delia, who I could careless for. It just didn't cause a connection to the characters that were being introduced like S1 and 2 did. The only character I was interested in this season was the introduction of Sylvester, other than that it felt bland. Some episodes I would follow more than others, but I honestly feel like not much effort was put into this season as the others. There also were random arcs that did not really develop that story further, so it felt like a filler season most of the time.
Nonetheless, I am excited for another season. I do recommend this show even though season 3 was not the best! It is worth watching!

I already wrote a review on this show for season 1 and gave it a 9/10, but I decided to come back and rate this show a 10/10 because it is amazing!! Seriously, I love this show. The characters, the animation, the storyline, and the music are everything!!
One of the best things this show did was the introduction of Re:Vale, not only did this duo thicken the plot and add to the drama, but they bring a nice comedy and more insight to the music industry. If you don't fall in love with Momo, or if Yuki doesn't pique your interest, you're lying. We
...
already have our main boys of idolish7, and the rivals TRIGGER, but Re:Vale adds a balance and really makes you feel like you are watching diverse idol groups go about their journey in show business.
This season is so amazing because the character development and storylines are top tier. There are a lot of characters, but I never felt overwhelmed or confused on each person's storyline. You will be HOOKED. The drama and emotional relationships that are presented make you keep watching and watching - one thing this show won't do is make you bored. The music is also so good, for me personally there are some TRIGGER and Mezzo (Sogo and Tamaki's duo) songs that I even found on Apple Music and saved, that's how much I liked them. The stage/concert scenes are animated great, and I love how each group has their own personal look as well.
You will not regret watching this show, and this second beat elevates idolish7 and their journey even more into stardom. It allows you to be excited for the future of idolish7, even for TRIGGER, Mezzo and RE:Vale, while also leaving enough wiggle room for anything to happen in the future for the group as you follow their journey.

I love this show a lot! When I first started it, I had no idea how I'd like it because I don't really watch idol shows (apart from watching Zombieland Saga) but I'm so glad I picked it up! Let me just tell you the animation, music, character design and characters personalities will pull you in to this show!
I love all the boys in idolish7, it genuinely feels like I'm watching an idol group climb their way to the top! I love how the boys have to actually gain fans and popularity by doing side jobs to put their name out there, and open for
...
other artists - it makes the show feel real. It would have been a little unrealistic if they started out super famous and popular, so I'm glad this show thoroughly takes you through idolish7's journey. I also love how there are other acts in the show, even their rival Trigger is a good addition to create drama and show how the music industry can be. My favorite boys are Sogo, Tenn and Iori, but I love the other characters just as much. The show does a great job blending all their personalities, so there isn't an out of place guy in the group. I even like their manager, the president, and the president's assistant.
This show is funny, heartwarming, and if you love music and idols this will be for you. The characters are attractive too. It gives you just the right amount of drama, it also provides small amounts of fan service (but not in a way that is tasteless) and it can be really funny at times. I recommended this show to anyone who likes idols or boybands because you will fall in love with all the boys and actually want to follow their journey to stardom.

I decided to watch this anime because usually it is rare for a romance to have close to an 80% rating unless it is really good, but this show really disappointed me. The art style is beautiful, and I thought the plot was intriguing that being centered around a psychic woman who has to marry a Prince for her family. This is the typical and ideal fantasy for those of us who watch romance; girl marries "cold" prince, and he actually ends up being kind natured and loving and romance blossoms. Perfect.
Well, this show is the exact opposite. I'm a sucker for the mean guy
...
turns nice cliche, but the lead male MC - Prince Ye, is actually so heartless and rude it turned me off completely. I had to constantly remind myself that this show is set in a historical time period where women basically didn't have rights and men in positions of power were assholes who got whatever they wanted. But the whole point of this being a shoujo romance with fantasy elements, you would think it would be a fun romantic watch OR at least grow into that. But Prince Ye was rude, abusive, forceful and borderline narcissistic to the point where I didn't even want the lead girl to end up with him. Not to mention, the show mentions multiple times how the men, especially the princes, have mistresses and other women so it makes the romance feel flat. The show also plays at harem themes for the lead lady which I didn't prefer either for this plot, going into this show I thought the primary focus would be on the lead lady and male, regardless of if it was historical or not.
Qian Yunxi was a decent lead. I liked how she was not a "woman of the times" and actually would stick up for herself. But other than that, the show doesn't delve too deep into her abilities like I would have hoped. She honestly had no personality outside of fighting and talking back - I feel like the creators would sometimes force this "I'm not a pushover" type of personality too much to make a point, but by them doing this over and over it makes you realize how crappy all the male characters are. Regardless she was my favorite character.
The plot seemed to drag and drag, 11 episodes (out of a mere 16) in and the romance between the two leads is basically nonexistent. All you have are instances of Ye abusing Qian (making her sleep in a raggedy palace, making her sleep in a wood cabin, having his mistresses' maids abuse her, believing his mistress over her, etc.) and the princes discussing this upcoming tension between them and the west, but it is so vague you don't know what is going on until the show is practically over. It feels like majority of the show is just you watching Qian get into trouble and get abused. The other characters really aren't worth mentioning, I didn't like any of them. The only character I liked was Prince Yu (Ye's brother) he was actually sympathetic and funny at times. I found myself rooting for him to be with Qian, honestly.
The show is alright. I think the harshness of the lead male MC turned me off a lot, the plot at certain points was very slow and wasn't interesting enough to really allow me to invest in the show, and the jokes fell most of the time - it just felt boring. This is nice as a quick watch, something to pass the time - but this isn't one of those romances that you need to see.
