What a great show. It's basically Lex Luthor vs Superman. The main character has a personal and a very powerful grudge against a man who is invincible, impossibly fast, impossibly strong and can fly. He is also the world's "Hero" and as such the main protagonist took upon themselves the role of the villain in order to defeat Superman. After years of battles they had their final showdown and inexplicably our villain time traveled back to his high school years, where he shared a class with the teenager who would become Superman. With this incredibly opportunity he swears to himself that he'll be victorious this
...
time.
It's incredibly entertaining. The storytelling is tight and easy to follow which is helped by the great array of characters. Be it the villains, or the other villains, or the other other villains, or the heroes, or just regular people, they are all great. The character development is rather simple and predictable, but the personalities are so fun to watch it doesn't matter.
There is action, there is drama, comedy, a few twists but most of all just unpretentious fun.
The animations, effects, environments and character expressions are all great. Music is inoffensive.
I had a blast. I went through this in one afternoon and now I'm left empty. I already miss the Aunt. What an angel.

From awful, to bad, to fine, to actually being pretty cool at the end. That's my journey with this "from zero to hero" donghua.
It's set in a world of "Soul Masters" who "tame" monsters, put them in their soul space and then use them in combat. The protagonist, and the viewer are thrown into a ruthless world of the survival of the fittest. Summoners fight each other for a place at the top by any means necessary. Luckily our main protagonist tames a very unique pet that allows him to persevere and thrive.
The story is incredibly confusing due to the fact that the
...
anime explains NOTHING. It's not about it being mysterious or whatever, it's just plain baffling. It's like the production was making the story up as they were making the episodes. New characters, factions, pets, past acquaintances, techniques and areas keep appearing out of nowhere and the anime make it's jarringly obvious that you're supposed to know who or what they are. But we don't! It feels like it's season 2 and I just missed an entire series before watching this. The most interesting part of the story by far happens at the very end, just to end the series at a cliffhanger.
The animation takes some getting used to. Especially the pets. The main pet drove me nuts by how bad it looked. Especially whenever they tried to make it convey emotions but the rigid stuffed animal model wouldn't allow for it so it just looked awful.
The characters are mostly completely forgettable. Every episode there is some incredibly, over the top, arrogant person who wants to beat the main character only to be put in their place. Aside from the opponents there is pretty much noone else to mention as they all suddenly appear only to be a plot device and then disappear as quickly.
Most of this anime is just fighting and "how could someone like YOU defeat ME?!".
It's not terrible. To it's credit, the world is pretty fascinating and there are a few exciting moments but mostly in the last few episodes.

It's a Chinese animated movie about a group of testers who were invited to playtest a new virtual reality video game. They all come from different walks of life but quickly bond over their curiosity of this game world. They explore and wonder, they meet NPCs and experience their customs and even go on something of a quest. Which goes horribly wrong.
It's a Lovecraftian psychological horror drama in a virtual reality. It has some really cool ideas, but it all kind of falls flat because the main character cast is just so boring. I'm not really going to get into because of spoilers but
...
I had to watch this movie over three days as I was falling asleep throughout. The first two thirds of this rather long movie seriously drag on, and only kept me interested because of the many twists and surprises it kept throwing my way. I suppose the authors were really going for that "suspense" and "shock" value but I didn't get much of that. It comes somewhat alive by the end with flashy action and a pretty epic scenery which did remedy some of the bad taste, but ultimately I was just glad to have it over with.
I will remember this movie for it's fantastic concept, not for the story it tells.
If you're into Lovecraft you might like it a lot more than I did.

A fun action donghua.
The story follows a lowly servant monk of a fantasy Chinese monastery to Buddha. The monk is forcefully transposed and chosen to be a participant of a series of trials given by a seemingly omnipotent entity. The trials are mostly focused on combat, and overcoming difficult enemies. Based on the performance in said trials the participants are granted a currency to spend in a "shop" where they can buy things ranging from equipment, to ultimate abilities. Along with the monk, other characters also participate in the trial. Whenever a trial is completed, the participants are transported back to their world to
...
continue their lives and await the next trial.
The anime focuses heavily on martial arts combat. The fights are long, completely ridiculous and very fun to watch. The animation of them is very good and really helps you appreciate the hectic nature of these battles. There is also plenty of comedy, plots and lighthearted fun.
It's not all roses though. The anime has a huge problem of not explaining anything that's happening. You're dropped in the middle of everything with no backstory and are just supposed to be there for the ride. The first few episodes were pretty hard to get through because I had no clue what was happening. I persevered though and it does get better in the long run. The anime is based off a novel, and from skimming through it it's obvious that the adaptation is just taking a very different approach. More flashy action over substance. There is also several plot lines that don't get resolved and are forgotten, along with several characters who just disappear without a mention. Overall the story is still decent, but wholly unfinished. It's set up for more seasons, but who knows if they'll happen.
The animation is great. The environments are great. The characters look amazing. The facial expressions are a bit stiff but serviceable. Music is inoffensive.
All in all. It's pretty good. The little bald monk is adorable as heck.

Incredibly fascinating.
This donghua is set in a fantasy world of power cultivation. The order of this world is decided by power. Power which is gained by making mental breakthroughs in understanding of one's self and the universe. There is many different schools and each uses different powers. The anime follows a young heir of a Norse-like tribe in the north who belongs to the school of "Star Lady" and he suffers from a mysterious illness that prevents him from having physical contact with any woman. This is a very major problem for the heir, as he isn't able to produce heirs of his own.
...
It is a major plot point, but it's mostly used a comical relief especially since the main character is very attractive and the ladies love him.
The story itself is a bit hard to follow as I feel like the adaptation of the novels, which I haven't read, is rushed. There is so much to digest every episode and you are constantly being presented with new characters, deities, factions, conspiracies and principles of this fantasy world. You're just dropped in the middle of it with no explanation and are in for a hell of a ride. It's possible to keep up though if you just pause every now and then to take it all in. Genre-wise it's mostly an adventure with the main character travelling to find a cure to his illness. There is plenty of drama, action and comedy, and even a tearjerker at one point. It doesn't stop being fun to watch.
Animation and music are above average.
To me this anime is just awe inspiring. I love the world it's set in. There is so much to discover and look forward to. I feel like I haven't even scratched the surface. It inspired a childlike wonder in me and I'm very grateful for that. I'll probably just move on and forget all about it but, for now at least, I'm happy to have experienced this.

A rather good donghua.
It's about two characters who are seemingly "stuck" inside a comic world. A male and a female student. They form a pact to escape this world and get back to reality.
The anime goes through so many subplots it can be a bit much if you're binge watching. It's not to it's detriment though. It's incredibly creative throughout. The scenarios are engaging and always entertaining. The theme and artstyle also change based on the current plot but overall the anime is rather lighthearted. Until the few last episodes that is. The atmosphere completely changes, the overarching story reaches it's climax and the
...
ending presents you with equal parts bewilderment and shock. The last episode sets up a sequel so I guess we'll see if it gets a second season, as the story is left off at a cliffhanger and more questions than answers.
The two main characters have a good dynamic between them. Their (non-romantic) relationship growth, interactions and jokes are all entertaining to watch even though their personalities frequently change based on the current events. There is other characters but all of them are just props of the current arc.
Music and art are both great.
I had fun watching this. I laughed a lot more than I would have thought and really liked the creative aspect of the anime. I just hope the studio knows what they are doing because, in my opinion, they put themselves in a really tough spot to follow with a second season. We'll see.

Honestly it's not as bad as the other reviews have made it out to be.
It's another Chinese 3D animation isekai. It's about a female writer down on her luck who gets transported into a fantasy world resembling ancient China through a VR headset. There is a sort of a story there in the transposition and the VR thing itself, but it's not really touched upon much and overall it's mostly unimportant. The real story happens in the isekai world. She gets put in the body of a wolfgirl criminal who gets caught and accused of theft. The ruler of the kingdom of goats, the
...
Goat King, takes interest in her after she makes her case pleading innocent and she is put under his supervision. They then travel all around the continent with a couple other companions to uncover the case of the mysterious theft.
The first episode is... rough. It really didn't make me want to continue but I persevered. It gets better with time. Not by a ton though. The anime definitely has it's issues. The animation, the music, the at times perplexing and borderline infantile storyline... On the other hand though it can be rather entertaining. The romance is weak, but cute, and the main love interests are to die for. The comedy is definitely it's strongest suit with it's absurdity turned up to high and the main character being the butt of most of the jokes. Every few episodes the group travels to a different animal kingdom which helps with sprucing up the simplicity so it never really gets boring.
It all ends on two major cliffhangers so maybe there will be more?
Anyway. There is not much to say about this. It's a fun little low budget isekai. I enjoyed it and I don't think it deserves to be treated with only negative reviews on it's page.

A very good donghua. It's about a modern day man who likes to study Chinese history being transposed to the ancient times he enjoys so much. His person occupied the recently deceased body of a village scholar with no family except for an adorable teenage sister.
Given this opportunity he challenges himself to change the fate of this specific era's empire to avert it's looming destruction. Through cleverness, modern knowledge and benevolence he faces and resolves tough situations, helps the less fortunate and advances himself through the ranks of officials.
The story also includes a kind of a romantic relationship with his sister who plays
...
a major role throughout. She supports her brother no matter what and only wants what's best for him. Her behaviour is a mix of childish innocence and firm resolve. Also, as I already mentioned, she is adorable as heck.
The story is decent but progresses rather fast. I would have liked more time with the characters as they are what really makes this anime so enjoyable. Their personalities are very distinct and none of them detract from the quality of the series. They are all very well written and portrayed.
As for the animation I was awed at times at how good it looked. I mistook it for real life on numerous occasions. It's one of the best 3D animations in an anime I've seen. The environments and interiors are stunning. The characters though can look a bit unnatural, sometimes their skin looks like fabric and their animations can look very unnatural, especially in combat, but overall they still perform fantastically.
Music is there. Nothing exceptional in my opinion.
Overall I enjoyed it very much. It's a very idealistic anime, with attempts at injecting modern day "equality" into ancient times. I just wish it gave more time to character development and didn't rush through the plot to the end goal so much.

What a refreshing Isekai. The plots in this story are so very unique, especially for a self proclaimed Otome anime.
The main character is an isekai'd girl who hated the main protagonist and wanted to become the villainess in the story. She got her wish and was transposed into the body of the main antagonist. From that point on she vowed to herself she'd become the most famous villainess that's ever lived. The story follows her as she works hard to become powerful and knowledgeable enough to face off with the main protagonist of the game.
There is plenty of subplots and even some mystery
...
to keep you engaged. There is acts of incredible self sacrifice that leave you gaping. There is instances of social issues of the modern world being addressed in a pragmatic way the way it should be done in our world as well. There is the main character always chiding herself or praising herself for acting certain ways. There is even some romance here and there that isn't completely cringe. It's all rather neat.
The last two episodes wrap everything up very nicely. All the plots get mostly resolved in a satisfying way and our heroine makes another big sacrifice for her pursuit of that elusive villainess persona.
I really enjoyed this one. It might be my favorite Otome so far, even though it's not really an Otome in my opinion.
8/10
I'm hoping for two more seasons.

A very decent Isekai that made my cheeks hurt as I was smiling the whole way through.
It is about a Japanese teenager who gets reincarnated into a fantasy world as an aristocratic baby, grows up surrounded by affection and gets given OP powers. There is nothing ground breaking here. It has all been done before. What makes this Isekai special is how adorably heartwarming it is. We never really get to see any character development from anyone, but the main cast are all incredibly nice people whose main purpose is to heavily counter any and all acts of ill behaviour. Bad manners are swiftly
...
met with a stern talking to, and bad people are just as swiftly brought to justice.
The story is as basic as it gets, with maybe one surprising twist. The main enjoyment of this anime is the main character doing things that are not supposed to be possible for a twelve year old. And that's pretty much it. The whole concept of this anime is just people constantly reacting to the main character's actions in a rather over the top way. Especially the heads of state. That might sound like it gets old fast, but to me it really didn't. It's always funny in this anime, and the main character's embarrassment adds to it significantly. He is such a pushover at times it looks like he's getting bullied.
I had a lot of fun watching this. It's not amazing (Especially the elf woman), as there is really nothing of substance here. It's just a silly Isekai packed with cliches, and I'm all here for it.
