The best of the fern gully movies.
No but seriously this is really good. It took me a few tries to get past the halfway point though. This one is a sleeper. But keep pushing through the slow parts, it's worth it.
The ending was amazing. Reminded me of Avatar Book One finale.
The romance was ok. A lot of boy likes girl but we don't actually know why.
But as per usual the animation was absolutely stunning.

I have mixed feelings about this anime because it both provides a refreshing concept and is extremely boring at the same time. I liked the characters and the episodic medical mysteries were fun (sometimes predictable and sometimes not), but there wasn't much of an overarching plot. The little bit of plot we did get didn't have any consequences at all. There was an 'important' plot twist toward the end but the main character didn't even seem to care about it at all. Our main character also seems to miss a very obvious second plot twist the whole show even though she's portrayed as a lowkey

The themes explored in this movie are so extremely important to childhood development... The power of friendship can be a very cringe concept but here it's just so beautiful. There are multiple scenes that are absolutely heart crushing. The main protagonist talks a lot about the meaning of life and it's a lot to think about. I think this is an incredible movie and I will watch it over and over.
I did find the plot to be extremely predictable. The way the main character is saved is also a bit too much. But, I think most movies suffer from predictability so it shouldn't be ...

The plot was mediocre at best... the ending being total trash and illogical... but there are a lot of redeeming qualities to this movie. The art was fantastic and the soundtrack was classic Naruto. I felt a little betrayed by Naruto's attitude toward the beginning of the movie. He was not acting the way that Naruto normally does... he was bullying a CHILD. I don't understand why the writers would allow that. After everything Naruto has been through, I feel like he would be the first person to reach out to Hikaru to try and make him feel better. It's really upsetting to see such a fan favorite get destroyed by a new studio. This season feels like if you were to put One Punch Man through a water filter and just end up with water that had essense of One Punch Man flavoring. It's an enjoyable season, don't get me wrong... but it should be watched on its own and not compared to the first season at all.
Side note: Garou was the absolute best part of this season and we never got to see anything big happen with him. Toward the end of the season, you start to anticipate a big fight ...

Death Note is definitely a dramatic, attention-keeping anime that I would love to watch again.
The story line of this anime is very unexpected at some points. With most animes and/or tv shows that I watch, I can easily guess the ending or at least compile a list of suspects. With Death Note, that was not the case. Everything from relationships to killings were very unexpected. The author of the manga and the director of the show must have been extremely intelligent people. They came up with long, in depth plots that kept the reader/viewer guessing the entire time.
