Both are school comedies with the same type of random humor. One is just mainly about girls, and the other one is mainly about boys.

Bloody Monday

I instantly thought of Death Note when reading Bloody Monday. They are both thrillers that involve a lot of elaborate plans in order for both sides to reach their objective. BM has more action, while DN has more mental planning. The main heroes and villains of each series are very intelligent. Both even have characters that have code names such as L(DN),and J and K(BM). They are both full of twists that make you want to keep reading until the very end. Luckily they are both relatively short. The art style is even very similar.

Both are samurai shows that have a hip hop theme. The action scenes are good in both, but I think Samurai Champloo had a lot more comedy.

They are more or less the same type of show, except Black Lagoon has story arcs that span multiple episodes unlike Cowboy Bebop in which each episode has its own little story. There are a lot of similar characters too. Revy=Faye, Dutch=Jet, and Benny=Edward(Mainly how they are both computer savvy). They also have the two best English dubs I have ever heard. Overall they are both very good action shows.

They are both action shows that are based around a criminal organization. Millenion in Gungrave is like the mafia, and the Lagoon Company in Black Lagoon is more like a mercenary group. They both have a lot of gunfights. They only big difference is that Gungrave eventually has a supernatural theme to it.

They are pretty much the same story just with different characters. Both are ecchi's, and have a boy who joins the swim team even though he can't swim.

Both of these are at the top of my list for blood content. Limbs fly off in pretty much every episode. They are pretty dark stories each with a bad ass heroine and a annoying male character. But behind all the blood, and killing both heroines have a sad past the makes a really good story in each show.

They are both romance comedies in a school setting. School Rumble seemed to have more comedy while Toradora was a bit more serious. But they are both hilarious! The love triangles were very similar in each show, and the main character Harima and Ryuuji seemed very similar to me.

They are made by the same director and are both visually stunning. The stories are both about a boy and a girl who like each other and get separated, but keep in touch by mail. In "Voices From A Distant Star" the girl goes into space to fight aliens and keeps in contact by sending text messages. The farther she gets the longer it takes to receive the messages. In "5 Centimeters Per Second" the boy moves and they keep in contact by sending letters to each other. But as time goes on they slowly start to separate. Both these movies are fantastic and are definitely worth watching.

They are both very dark and have a lot of killings caused by the main character. In Elfen Lied the diclonious kills humans. In Death Note Yagame judges criminals and kills them with the death note. Elfen Lied is a bit more straight forward while Death Note has a lot of twists that keep you on the edge of your seat. Both are a must see for any anime lover.
